Hmm. Not sure I like this. -

Manuel is way better than Lewis.... that's not even debatable. lol If we lose again against Thad, that would be embarrassing.

I think this should be a good thing. But I'll be damned if part of me doesn't worry he's got some weird magic against us.
Although maybe it's not really magic at all since Lewis also took the Bengals into overtime in addition to beating us. He was thoroughly beaten by the Saints but then...a lot of teams have been thoroughly beaten by the Saints, including us.Ophinerated likes this. -

One thing that makes me worry about this is when the Dolphins played Thad Lewis last time, his scrambling was severely limited by an injury that almost kept him out of the game.
So this time around if Miami heads into the game thinking that they're going to face the same guy with the same tendencies as last time, they may be in for a little bit of a surprise.
Just something to keep an eye on. I'm not saying Miami will lose.Ophinerated likes this. -

No excuse. If we want to be a playoff team, we win Sunday handedly.....
but this IS the Dolphins, so............MAFishFan, BayAreaFinFan, Ophinerated and 8 others like this. -
In some ways, he played great that day, in other ways, it was his worst game of the year. Can't repeat that this Sunday, and I doubt very much he will.HULKFish, gafinfan, SICK and 1 other person like this. -

Tyson Clabo will have a chance for some revenge in this one. His poor play basically served as the most visible margin of defeat in the last game.

Bills are facing a different team this time around. Limit the run game and we should have this. I think its a moot point about the quarterback we are facing. They are an opportunistic passing team that can hit a big play. Marquis Goodwin is the guy to watch out for. I think limiting the big plays are the key to beating them. I am starting to have faith in our offense. I do fear the almighty Dolphin letdown but not like i have in the past.

Oh great. The Dolphin killer...
It was already embarrassing the first time. -
The one thing that keeps me scared with Miami even though they're on a nice roll is the offense continues to be the kind that plugs away play after play and requires a lot to go right on any individual scoring drive.
Which means they're vulnerable to a big play on the other side wiping out dozens of positive plays made on our side. That's how Miami came a shoe size away from losing to Pittsburgh.Ophinerated, Pandarilla, ssmiami and 1 other person like this. -
These are the types of games we lose though. Im not trying to be a downer but you all know we've seen this movie before.

Don't know if that good or bad? Deff good in terms of dont have worry about option/scramble as Thad only runs a 4.8, tannehill is prolly more of a threat to run than Thad. He did have fumbling concerns, fumbling twice against us ( unfortunately we couldn't recover) and 6 times in 3 games. We lost because of our horrible line and offense back then with a late tannehill fumble but hopefully our problems have been fixed or at least it seems that way. While he wasn't the reason we lost or just looking at stats and saying he hasn't played well, he also faced the bills roughest schedule in games vs Cincy, us and back then a very hot saints team and defense. Having Stevie Johnson out also helps but they can't think about who's playing. Idc of you are playing against The nfl all decade team in their prime, you still develop a game plan and come out hard and fast until the beginning. Tired of seeing what could of been or goal one stand, turnover dominate defense one half followed by non existant the next half or explosive, score at will offense (panthers, 1st pats game, 2 minute drive) offense followed by 3 and out, strip sack offense the next. This is where we stand up and put together a 5 game win streak with explosive offense and dominate defense and take it into the playoff. I haven't been this excited for dolphins football in maybe ever.

Clabo getting dominated.
Tannehill holding on.
And Sherman calling pass plays when we clearly are in a run out the clock situation.finfansince72 and GARDENHEAD like this. -
Losing to a floundering Bills team after winning the games weve won would be as bad as game six of the nba finals for the Spurs last season. No ex uses we need to win .....z

17-3 phins win

No excuse now. We don't deserve playoffs if we lose! Let's do this!

Thad played well but this team just faced Tom Brady and Rapistberger, Thad Lewis is not those guys.
Also keep in mind Lewis is a Miami kid, he was probably amped to play in his home town in October, He'll likely be in worse shape should it snow than RT.
The key to this game is: Can the Bills defense force RT into major mistakes like they did before. That'll be the deciding factor.
Also keep in mind the O-Line was clearly in the midst of the Bullying crisis before it came public, the day after the Bills loss J-Martin was demoted and they traded for McKinnie and Clabo was benched.
In all honesty that Bills game is the last really bad game the Dolphins played. -
This is a good thing. Very much so. Aside from their defense, we beat ourselves last time. Plain and simple. I want to see and fully expect a smack down. There is no way we don't play hungry as ****.

Tannehill and company just need to protect that football and Miami should be alright. Sacks are OK. Pick 6s are not. The line was abysmal last time they faced Buffalo, but I think spotting Buffalo 6 points on Miami's first offensive series was by far the biggest factor in losing that game.
-
There was so much dumb crap that happened in that game. The Pick-6 then another INT in the Red Zone. The missed kick by Sturgis. Then Tanehill missed Hartline for a long pass in the desperation series after they were down.
I don't think the Bills offense had a big drive once that game. They made some key 3rd down conversion but no long drives. -
Weather looks like it's going to be really crappy. Cold, rain, possible snow showers.
A read option, running QB in that weather with our run defense sans Soliai, worries me.
