Around 3:20.....the big play to Wallace down the right sideline, dude was wide open....was it a double move? I hope so, if not man did Tannehill hesitate like a mofo and it seemed he FINALLY decided to throw it....wish it was more natural. unless of course it was a double move and he had to wait...

Note the coverage on the Pick 6 - and that Martin had lost position on Mario Williams within the first seconds of the snap. The only guy open was Gibson. If Tannehill wasn't already being pressured by Williams, he may have seen the DB closing immediately on Gibson and thrown it away, or attempted to scramble. Of course as Williams already had a head of steam and was coming full out, Tannehill likely would have been sacked or stripped...

I think Tannehill probably saw space on a pre-snap read and went quickly to Gibson (not quick enough).Mainge likes this. -
Wow, watching that video makes you realize how much duress he is under. When he gets time, he makes plays. Even when one person is beat he shows he can move around in the pocket. Martin getting tossed to the ground like a girl, even against Williams, is just horrible technique and play.

Even in real time I felt the first pick was more of a defensive play than a boneheaded one by tannehill. Now the second one....

Lots of good plays in there. Outside of that red zone INT throw...he had a great game...

At 57 seconds in the video, Tannehill hits Wallace, who had to dive to make the catch and does. Wallace then lays on the ground for 2 seconds until a defender comes over and tags him. I was yelling at the TV Sunday when that happened for him to get up and run. I think Wallace was shocked he wasn't touched down. Wish he had gotten up and ran though. -

And I don't know how you could make the above statement without watching the other 62 tackles closely. Is that what u did? Cause it sounds like hyperbole to me, no offense. -
This whole reel illustrates what we knew about Tannehill. When he guesses the right defense presnap, he's a stud. That's why he's so great at beating the blitz. When he's forced off his first/primary read, he's just not very good there.
He locks onto guys and struggles reacting to a defense mid-play and making the right read, and anticipating the throw with accuracy. By the time it processes, he throws it late or inaccurate. That's why you see balls over the middle behind guys sometime and those deep balls to Wallace aren't leading him. -
I also think they have a limited number of "go to" plays when they need to create some yardage and Wallace is not in that limited number of plays, I think Gibby is though. -
I thought Sherm did a much better job mixing it up last week, hopefully the trend continues.djphinfan likes this. -

The play @2:16 is one that really bothers me. It bothered me when I saw it live and is confirmed by the video. When it happened live I happened to be keying in on Sims.
Tannehill is looking Miller and only Miller the whole way. He is blanketed. Ryan's eyes draw Alanso to Miller, leaving Sims wide open for a sure first down. I may be overreacting, but this play worries me more than the pick 6
Also, Gibson's 2nd TD celebration was pretty awesome -
6:02 mark. A receiver is wide open at the bills 30 in the middle of the field. May have been real tough to complete and spike with time left for a fg. Wish we tried that on first down with more time.

The Wallace deep catch looks like he go thit as hr threw it. I'll take that throw he made while getting popped. Good chance if he doesn't get hit, that's a bigger play. After Miami came up with the INT I was screaming for them to go deep to Wallace right away. Seize that momentum and set a tone. Did they? Of course not.
-
Their trust can be misplaced and they do not realize it.
For example straight up, would you trade Lamar Miller for Reggie Bush. -

You've got to wonder how much the instant pressure has effected Tannehills clock. Even when he does have time that clock goes off after about two seconds and he makes some type of decision. It's gotta be tough for him to go through the reads clearly.
I also think the line is why we don't see more deep routes. The receivers don't have time to get downfield.fin13 likes this. -

Seeing it just reminds me how pissed off I am still.
And makes me ask, why the **** do we ignore the middle of the field like it's a pit full of crocodiles?maynard likes this.
