Any avid readers of one or the other? I've just gotten into graphic novels, primarily. Any good suggestions? I've only currently read V for Vendetta and I'm through about 7 volumes of Fables (which are awesome).

I am an avid reader of The Walking Dead, Outcast, Sons of Anarchy, and Captain America, and I have Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. #1 waiting for me next time I go to the comic store.

I did read Naruto before that ended. I tend to follow the comic summaries online. Loved Astonishing X-Men (penned by Joss Whedon)

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin, along with the Walking Dead (catching up), and (IDW) Transformers.

I'll probably dive into The Walking Dead when I finish off Fables. I trouble keeping up with two ongoing stories at once, especially if they're way into the series.
Some standalone graphic novels I'm currently reading is My Friend Dahmer (just finished it actually) and Black Hole. -
Back when I had time to read them, Preacher was my favorite. Garth Ennis is incredible

Anything Batman is good. I also enjoyed reading Watchmen. I started reading Ghostbusters and Ninja Turtles since I'm a huge fan of both (they did a crossover series as well!). Also got into X-Files as they did a continuation of the series but I didn't enjoy it as much I thought.

Just wrapped up the Scott Pilgrim series and currently catching up on Saga.

If you are wanting actual graphic novels as stand alones you can't really go wrong with any of the classics by guys like Frank Miller or Alan Moore. Launchpad mentioned Watchmen, that's considered "the" graphic novel in a lot of people's minds. I'm also personally a big fan of Neil Gaimann, even his novels.FinSane likes this. -
Seconds is really good. Same guy who did the Scott Pilgrim series.
