Greg Cote: Miami Dolphins need consistent success to turn hope into belief

We can get two wins in a row. The question is will we considering that we never beaten Houston before ever.
Thoughts?

we need.... corners  but yeah i agree with the article, if they can sustain this into next week and more importantly into new england it would go a long ways to doing just that.

When I read an article like this, I get angry and think, "who are you to tell me how to emotionally invest in my team?"
...I don't need your advice on who to support!
Kinda like Marcus Mariota's knee... -
I'm not getting excited over a glorified preseason game. One that followed a bye for us. Facing a team with one of the worst o-lines in the league and a hobbled QB. And on defense they either had a horrible gameplan, especially considering everybody and their cats knew we'd try to run it down their throats, or they quit.
Get it to 6-4 and we can talk. -

Hopefully we will all be on same page though later on in the season.dolphin25 likes this. -
I do wonder how soon until it wears thin though?

I've been seeing a lot of people saying this Titans team was the first rated pass defense and etc.
Don't want to bust anyone's bubbles, but on a yards per play standpoint (which is the most tell-tale indicator, IMO), they were about middle of the pack before our game and now they are near the bottom of the league against the pass (28th). They are also 26th in running yards per play. This is not that great a Titans defense as some are making them out to be.
DISCLAIMER: The point of this post was not to rain on anyone's parade, what I want is for people to have some perspective on the team we just played.Ducken likes this. -

none of our experts know how this all works, but when it comes to will his message or ''his way'', wear on players, I dont think so, I think if you have a style like Campbell the presense and leadership have to back it up, does his presense and leadership qualities demand respect and accountability?...yes imo,.when you start talking about guys like Philbin or another example Pagano, I dont think their intangibles measure up, so players eventually tune you out..But with this dude being so original, genuine in his persoinality combined with the edge of being very young and strait from the grid, I think there is a combination there that players will either respect, or you know what, gtfo our team..basically we want the danimal blueprint, what he thinks makes a tough player.
once we know he and his staff are capable of scheming quality opponents in big games than its ll about locking him up for a long time and giving him that security so players know, its his way or highway..
Hes the exact kinda coach we want for this twon and culture, moreso than in any other place...if he's got the intell for exploitation, then im so all in because of who he is..
I really dont thinhk one player will disrespect this man....pretty cool stuff can happen when all 53 buy in to the head coach.resnor likes this. -

That's what they were ranked when you go by the NFL standard of yards. Anytime the NFL or ESPN, etc. says where a defense or offense is ranked they use yards, unless they specifically specify what they are ranking by or if they are using someone's metrcis like PFF. -
If there's a weakness on that Cincinnati offense it's Andre Smith at RT. Mario Williams dropped into coverage so many times while lining up over Andre Smith it wasn't even funny. It was shades of the KC game last year for Miami.Fin D likes this. -
I think Campbell's approach works, especially when the team does well and wins games. The unknown is what happens when they don't win games, as we haven't gotten there yet. -
The Titans are currently ranked in the bottom third for total rushing yards, and rushing yards per game. Were they really ranked that much higher going into the Miami game?
