With the way the dolphins are handling his injury?
“@iHeartMiko: The whole "lets not pay him or help him get to the Pro Bowl" idea is the reason we're in MIA. It can be the reason we're not here too. SMFH!"
I don't know how else to take that tweet from Brent's wife.
UPDATED for context...

Handling his injury in what way? He got hurt 2 days ago and I'm pretty sure the Dolphins want him back out there.

She's also his agent.
However, I agree with you. Especially at this point of the season with what is on the line. She shouldn't go stirring things that don't need to be stirred.MikeHoncho likes this. -
It's because of what some guy said on Twitter.
@dalesandroa13 @OmarKelly who cares about the probowl? Plus grimes will be cheaper if he's not a pro bowler lolClick to expand...Phins_Fan_87, Tin Indian, DOLPHAN1 and 10 others like this. -

As his agent... how does she not know that we can't pay him until the offseason?Click to expand...
I don't think she was inferring we pay him now. This is why I don't use twitter...context can be lost.Colorado Dolfan, toto and Steve-Mo like this. -
maybe she meant the whole lets not play him or help him get to the pro bowl blah blah? Maybe she didn't like that we held him out for that last drive and thinks the attention going towards thomas should be going towards grimes?
-
I saw that, it was in response to what someone twitted @ Omar's account. The guy said Grimes shouldn't make the Pro Bowl because then he'd have to be paid more.Click to expand...HeelsnPhins and Brasfin like this.

That's his wife AND his agent??? Holy crap. I thought Grimes was a hell of a lot more cerebral. This woman is a train-wreck. If we resign him, there needs to be a cap buffer incase of suicide/homocide.

Or maybe she's already had some dealings with our super personable GM.
Player retention is a big issue for Jeff Ireland. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Grimes isn't a Miami Dolphin in 2014. Because of his personality and roster management he can't keep the few guys he's hit on in drafts and free agency.Phoenician Fan and KB21 like this. -

It sounds like what this likely is. Jeff probably wants him to sit because of some obscure roster bonus if he played X amount of games and made the Pro Bowl. The Grimes's have also probably had the typical Jeff Ireland experience, but hey. Some on here don't think this jack wagon needs to be fired.Click to expand...KB21 likes this.

Also, do we know that there is a roster bonus tied to games? Or are we just speculating and piling on? I'm not an Ireland supporter... but lets try to at least remain objective.shula_guy, xphinfanx, RevRick and 1 other person like this. -
Guys, someone on Twitter made a joke saying they should sit him so he doesn't make the Pro Bowl and he'll end up being cheaper next year. She responded saying "shaking my head," because that's the whole reason he's not in Atlanta and he is in Miami, where they're hoping it doesn't happen all over again. She said "SMH" because she feels this fan was being stupid. It had nothing to do with the organization, however much you wish it to be true (for whatever reason). He's on a one-year deal, who knows if they've talked about a new contract?

I'd hope he wouldn't do something like that and put his teams playoff chances at risk to save a few bucks. But if he already has been assured his job is safe, I wouldn't put it past him.Click to expand...
Still, you gotta look at the context of this tweet. -

Are you seriously implying that Grimes is sitting because of a roster bonus? In the middle of a ****ing PLAYOFF RUN??
