I saw that, it was in response to what someone twitted @ Omar's account. The guy said Grimes shouldn't make the Pro Bowl because then he'd have to be paid more.

 

She still probably shouldn't say anything. Not every tweet deserves a response.

Player retention is a big issue for Jeff Ireland. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Grimes isn't a Miami Dolphin in 2014. Because of his personality and roster management he can't keep the few guys he's hit on in drafts and free agency.

 

This. Although I would also have a hard time not responding to stupid statements made about my family. This is probably the main reason why I ignore twitter/facebook (aside from REALLY not caring that my former college roomate's friend went to Target and bought a new lamp today).

It sounds like what this likely is. Jeff probably wants him to sit because of some obscure roster bonus if he played X amount of games and made the Pro Bowl. The Grimes's have also probably had the typical Jeff Ireland experience, but hey. Some on here don't think this jack wagon needs to be fired.

 

I'd hope he wouldn't do something like that and put his teams playoff chances at risk to save a few bucks. But if he already has been assured his job is safe, I wouldn't put it past him.

Guys, someone on Twitter made a joke saying they should sit him so he doesn't make the Pro Bowl and he'll end up being cheaper next year. She responded saying "shaking my head," because that's the whole reason he's not in Atlanta and he is in Miami, where they're hoping it doesn't happen all over again. She said "SMH" because she feels this fan was being stupid. It had nothing to do with the organization, however much you wish it to be true (for whatever reason). He's on a one-year deal, who knows if they've talked about a new contract?
