I heard a lot of cars and tracks will have to be purchased separately from the game. That was a real turn off IMO, especially with the huge array of cars and tracks the previous games had. I can imagine it being very costly to collect them all.

I hate the new direction games are going. Buy the game and then buy More of the game as you go.....it legitamizes companies to put less in the games you buy so that they can charge you more money down the road to get features 5 yrs ago would have been included.

Game companies are spending much more for making a game. Games haven't gone up in price since I was a child buying Zelda for $60.Stitches likes this. -

I'll never have an issue paying for extra content. If I don't want it I won't pay for it but if the game is really good and I want more I'll cough up a few bucks.

All this talk about the DLC, has any of it been confirmed? I haven't been able to find anything on it other than bonus/extra stuff possibly.
1000 cars and 20 tracks (60 total variations) on the disc from the legit info available right now.opfinistic likes this. -
I dunno if the DLC thing is true... Doesn't seem so. But on the topic of DLC. I think in the future (5-10) years, that's the route we're going to end up going. All digital media and a low start up cost. With options to buy what you want.
For example:
What if I wanted Halo3, but I know that I never play multiplayer. What if Halo3 was $25 and the multiplayer component was $15 and the map pack was $10 and the extra campaign level was $10? People could buy as much or as little Halo as they wanted. Obviously this model only works if they have a decent pricing structure and each component is well worth it's cost. -

 I can see DLC for cars that are possibly locked at the beginning of the game like many other racers do now but I seriously doubt that the disc itself comes with anything less than what they have advertised so far (1000 cars, 60 tracks). I think it would be big news if that were the case.opfinistic likes this. -
