I'll start with the 80 yarder.
At first I thought Bess picked Hart's man, but it was just botched coverage on a deep crossing route with the safety out in no man's land.
Did Hartline blow by the secondary ala Mike Wallace? Unfortunately no. Nobody picked him up, but I'll take an 80 yard TD anytime.

12 yard out hitch vs Patrick Peterson in 1 on 1, no safety help.
The coverage is good but Tannehill starts the throw before or as Hartline begins his break.
Ball is placed perfectly. It's a good catch by Hart, but this play is mostly all on the QB.

Oh come on, call it like it is. He got on top of his route, created a 3 yard cushion from himself and the sideline to allow Tannehill to throw the ball. Peterson didn't almost squeeze him and that ball didn't have to be perfectly placed. Quarterbacks are instructed to throw outside on that route and if that's all Tannehill does, Hartline has a chance. If you look at it, Tannehill threw it too far inside as a matter of fact and if anything, his placement raised the chances of an interception because if Peterson keeps his eyes up, he has a chance of making a play.
What you didn't show: This ball should be outside.

I'll give you the ball placement, but the key to the play's success was Tannehill releasing the ball as Hartline made his break, if not before it. It was a good route by Hartline but the throw is what made it IMO. It certainly wasn't due to bad coverage by Peterson.

3rd and 10. He wasn't supposed to be giving up an easy first down, as noted. But he's instructed to give a cushion that deep in that coverage call. Maybe a little closer (a lot of coaches I've talked to like 7 or 8 x 1 in Quarters) but I obviously don't know for sure.ToddPhin likes this.

Catch 4
2nd & 3. Verse Peterson. Quick pass with Peterson giving about a 10 yard cushion.
but he lowers his head and runs right into the teeth of them for only a 2 yard gain.
Becomes a dead drive and punt b/c we can't make 3 yards in 2 downs.

Here's why we shouldn't be happy when a receiver sets a franchise record in one game----- WE LOST.
All his yards went for nothing b/c we couldn't run the ball, we couldn't throw for garbage on Zona's side of the field, and we couldn't pass in the redzone.
