Hmm, wonder if Helena Bonham Carter will be in it?
(at least she's married to the guy, you'd think Depp was too) -

The thread title cracked me up, but I'm more intrigued by a Depp/Burton Dark Shadows than I am for Alice in Wonderland.

Crapola, I was hoping they'd be getting started on the possible Salvador Dali biopic.

The knock on his last flick was that he wasn't imposing enough to be Capone, how will he be as Collins??? -

I've never seen an actor try to typecast themselves as Johnny Depp has. He needs to stick to the Public Enemies/Secret Window/Donnie Brasco type roles for me to be interested.

Take for instance Depp's portrayal of Willy Wonka. Gene Wilder played a loveable, yet intimidating Wonka. Depp could never have pulled that off.
To play a vampire like Collins, he needs to be physically imposing. Depp's more suited to play a sparkling ghey vampire like in "Twilight" than a menacing one.
Don't get me wrong, Depp's a great actor...but I'm anticipating the same thing as when Cruise butchered the role of Lestat.opfinistic likes this. -

I was watching Batman on TV the other day and was thinking to myself that Michael Keaton reminded me of someone for some reason. And I realize it was Depp that he reminded me of. Maybe its because of the kind of character that Burton likes in his movies. Maybe it was just me.

he was supposed to be a bad ash(i think) in that antonio banderas movie which was made in between pirates movies but i threw up in my mouth a little when he said "savy".
