If we can't get Luck or RGII...then what?

Honestly do not know who I'd want FinD, not a lineman we need playmakers on O and D.

Draft the best player available. If we miss out on Luck or RG3 and Morris Claiborne or Blackmon are there then you take one of them.

Either Weeden or Tannehill would be fine by me. I like Burfict a lot if he comes out. I know its not sexy and its real high for him but I would love to get David DeCastro on this team. Dude looks like an all pro OG.

Blackmon would be great, across from BM, move Bline to the #3 role..

You might actually consider that Matt Moore is playing very well and it might be worth trying to develop him instead of trying to take a risk that is dramatically more likely to fail than get you a better player?

If we draft another guard... God help us.

Been advocating this for YEARS now. Glad someone else has the same mindset!

Here's my thing. If no Luck, RG3 scares me how he will transition, although I would probably still take a chance on him if he makes it to us, which I don't think he will. I think we take best available talent im round 1. Hope Weeden is there in round 2. If not, I think we might have to ride into next season with Moore. Who is serviceable, but we need a franchise guy. There aren't going to be anyone available in FA better though. I wouldn't take Tannehill in the top 10. This draft is slowly becoming a bad year for QBs(after Luck). Last year was do much better and we missed several opportunities to get one.

I don't know what we are going to do at this point....

Last year I wanted Aldon Smith, i.e. best 3-4 pass rusher available or QB (Mallett or Ponder was who I wanted). Im sticking with that philosophy though I have yet to determine who the best pass-rusher really is. Coples impresses me but he may be gone though Wes Bunting also makes an interesting point in that free agency could hit our DL hard with Langford unsigned and Soliai still without an extension. Burfict just seems like a really dumb player, Ive seen him take a few penalties that were just idiotic. The game vs Boise State the other night was a prime example. He has a ton of skills but a 3 cent brain. Courtney Upshaw and Bruce Irvin are solid choices as well though a lot of people are down on Upshaw in a way that seems similar to Lamarr Woodley a few years ago and I am thinking Upshaw may fall in to round 2.

I worry about going with perimeter players though if Blackmon fell I think you have to do it. Floyd I think you can move down a few slots and get. He wont be a top 15 pick. See if you can get a ransom if thats really our pick.

I like Ryan Tannehill as an option quite a bit but he does have a risk factor to him because he hasnt been a QB for but a couple of years. Still he is pretty good fundamentally and I like him far more then say a Blaine Gabbert from just a year ago. I guess in discussing QB's I have Luck ranked above everyone else like everyone else but then RG3 and Tannehill are both options with bust factors to them.

What I am not doing is taking a Guard or Running back in round 1, I dont care how good David Decastro and Trent Richardson are. We have Bush and Thomas and guards can be found.

Bottom line though is those are the 4 positions I am looking at in round 1 because thats where there are quality players that fill a need for us. Ideally though, Im still looking at what its going to take for Luck.

He is a completely different quarterback than Vince Young.

You could say that with Barkley staying in school, we may be in the market to trade down dramatically. And, with that garner picks that could be used the following year to acquire Barkley or someone else should we be required to move up in the draft. Tannehill would be a project to say the least, he has a good arm and is mobile, but he has the same issues Chad Henne did with regards to touch on his passes.

If a few of those guys Jones, RGIII, and Wilson decide to stay, I think you wait until 2013 to make a move and draft a QB. If they enter, then evaluate the remaining options and see if they make sense at your position. I like the idea of a move down to select Wheeden like Desides suggested.

I'm still of the opinion, that I'd be ok with a selection for a RT prospect, a TE, or an OLB that can rush the passer. I don't think there is a TE option out there that warrants that high of a pick, but you see the league and we need to catch up there.

He's the one Qb this draft that I've not seen play among the top guys, and Henne's problems were as much about kajones as touch passes.

I'd like to see a Center added in rd # 3 or #4, like Brewster or Molk, kick Pounce to LG, and Richie I to RG, that solves some problems

Wonder if the new HC says "yeah, that YBell? How about Jones at SS and Clemons at FS"?

So much is up in the air about who will be the new HC and New Staff, it's hard to predict much of anything atm.

What I mean by the RG3-Young comparison is that both are being hyped up for reasons other than pure quarterbacking. Young was a great athlete who happened to line up at quarterback; RG3 is much the same. I'm not comparing their personalities or positions, just what they offer immediately to an NFL team.

I'd like to add that I think it's curious that so many would criticize Cam Newton because Gus Malzahn would make play calls and radio them in, but won't criticize RG3 for also having his play calls radioed in. I think there's an undercurrent of "Cam Newton is pretty good in the NFL, RG3 can be too" which I think is a bit of a false comparison. Newton was much further along as a quarterback than RG3 is, IMO.

I don't see a spot for RG3 on this roster, and I think the only reason we're talking about him going to the Dolphins is the ongoing misconception that Stephen Ross just wants flashy everything. The quarterback Ross wants is Andrew Luck, not RG3.
