I had to do some leg work to help my mother in law get a new car. She got a new Beetle today with leather, airbags galore, and a 6 cd changer. They have 0% interest for 72 months. She got the car for 300.00 below msrp. I just thought I would share that incase someone was thinking about buying a new car with great financing.:wink2:

I dont rust anything from Volkswagen anymore. Everytime I knew someone that had a Passat, Jetta or Cabrio, there was always problems with the clutch, the trasmission, or something else. Beware the germans!

My sis had an 03 Passat. The engine had to be replaced (about 10 Grand for a new one) along with countless other problems. I would never by a VW based on the problems she had with that car.

Yes bro I know about the Corolla. I drive a 2004 Toyota Matrix XRS. My mother in law wanted either a beetle or a prius. My concern with the prius is changing the battery out after 8-10 years and the costs associated with that, as they will be retired at that time. They own there cars for quite a while.

This weighed a lot on my decision to recommend a car for my mother in law. Plus at that time they will be both retired, and more than likely we will be living in the same house. My family knows how in depth I go on my research of cars, so they give me the job of ensuring they are getting a good safe car.:wink2:

One more spin on the "Hybrid" cars is that you better be an Electrical Engineer to even have a chance to work on one. Heaven forbid anything actually goes wrong with the Electrical end of it. Can you imagine what the cost for a "Specialist" would be to do any significant work on one :pity:
