Now that that's settled, I'm just waiting for the league to pass down an extra one-game suspension for starting the brawl last season. I just can't see how you give a guy a $75 million dollar contract after he was thrown out of his last game.

A year ago I would have said "Good for Landry getting paid," but my opinion of him drastically changed when he kept making immature decisions. I am honestly thrilled he's gone.

Well now that Landry has his payday, let’s just see how long he lasts against the stout defenses of Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

Can’t see paying a slot receiver THAT kind of money

    $15m per year...I don't buy it. When it's finalized I'll believe it.

Amendola has missed 7 games in the last 4 seasons. Why do you think he'll miss 6 next year?

Good for him. He knew what he is worth and he can now have the last laugh on all those who claimed he would never get the money he was looking for in free agency.

The Dolphins continue to let their best players leave after their rookie contracts end and instead they sign average NFL players to bloated contracts.

While I get the idea you are expressing, no way that signing Jarvis for $15 mil was a good idea. The Browns are a uniquely terrible organization - lauding a move they make is maybe not the best thing to do? Then again, for them, winning 4 games would be a moral victory this year. We can't just look at these things in a vacuum.

I think we are more dangerous with Amendola and Wilson. It also puts the onus on Parker to put up or ship out and opens the door for Grant to make a difference. We are faster and shiftier. Hopefully we can add a TE to take advantage of more mismatches.

Really like juice but no way in hell he plays to that level of compensation especially on a fundamentally inferior team.

6-8 games in and he will be *****ing

I love Landry, but he's not worth that much money. Even if they feed him an absurd number of targets he won't provide the production necessary to really be worth that amount.

Figured he’d missed more but I’d probably still set the bar at 4.

    Never struck me as durable

Prolly coulda kept him if they would have signed him last year for 5-60 25 guaranteed. But we can't seem to see past the end of our noses.

For a team like the browns with lots of cap space they can afford to overpay him to stroke his ego. Signing him to that contract here would be repeating the Walkace/Suh problens, basically they couldn’t produce enough to justify the contract.

That is still too much. And I bet we did offer him that much last year and he still turned us down. This man wanted his payday. And he wanted it to be big.
