-I'm pretty sure most people are saying safety is a need because of Clemons, not Jones
-These raises have nothing to do with production, but playing time. Jones will get his extension VERY soon, but Jerry just hasn't put it together consistently. Honestly? I'd like to see him at RT. He had a fairly positive showing at LT when he filled in during 2011, and I think his makeup would have him being a strong RT, at least with regards to run blocking.

If I'm Jeff Ireland and I'm starting @ DJ Fluker with pick #40 I certainly have a huge decision on my hands.

I really hope RJ continues to be oh so beastly.

  5. Seems like a reasonable reward for good play from them last season. It sends a good message to everyone on the team. Good play gets rewarded.

This quote makes it seem a little less likely the Dolphins would draft a guard in the top two rounds.

Guard and Safety aren't needs per se, but you could certainly stand to upgrade over Richie Incognito and Chris Clemons. So, if Jeff Ireland has the opportunity to do so, he should take it.

Then again, Richie I did make the pro bowl.

Still would like to see him at RG with JJ moving to RT and Martin sticking at LT..and add a LG who can do more things than Richie I can do imo.

If Incognito played like he did from basically the second Jets game on, he'd be a good Pro Bowl selection. He played better than he probably ever had, it's just that first half was really tremendously awful.

I don't think Pro Bowls are a really accurate measuring stick these days...other than to see who the most popular players are. If Richie Incognito made an All-Pro team, I wouldn't have typed that.

As Disgustipate said, his second half of the season was pretty damn good. Up until that second Jets game; it was awful. I think that also confluences with Miami's use of more power plays as the year went on. Was that due to Reggie Bush not hitting the correct holes? Other backs like Daniel Thomas as well? Or was it a philosophical shift? I've got no idea. That being said, if Miami wants to have a more athletic, zone-blocking line like say, the Houston Texans; I don't think Richie Incognito fits that.

Almost every starting position on the team could use an upgrade, outside of Quarterback, Center and Punter. Jerry is on the bubble due to his inconsistancy, and Incognito is entering the final year of his contract, and is EASILY the player that the Fins could quickly cut to gain the most cap room, if necessary.

Jerry really just needs to solidify himself as a starter already, there is just no excuse to coming into training camp overweight when the organization drafted you to be a goddamned starter. Really hope it clicks for him and he, and the entire line honestly, gets off to a fast start this year.

I've got no idea. Ronin mentioned they did more man blocking later in the season, but it still wasn't a majority and he improved all around- He was better at pretty much everything.

This had nothing to do with Miami FO rewarding Jerry and Jones for their play. It is determined by the CBA.

"And the two will be rewarded with a nice pay increase for 2013, as per guidelines outlined in the new CBA. Scheduled to make $630,000 this year, the final year of their initial rookie contracts, Jerry and Jones will both earn more than double that next season, with base salaries of $1.323 million, according to NFLPA records."

Not sure what message it sends to everyone on the team other than "we will abide by the guidelines outlined in the CBA."

When you roll Chris Clemons out as a starter safety is a need.

Guard is meh. Jerry and Incongnito are alright but I'd at least like to add a developmental guard who has a chance.

Incognito is not going anywhere. Now Jerry ? If he reports to camp around 360 plus again this year he is not going to see the million dollar plus salary from the Dolphins.

John Jerry is perhaps the worst or close to the worst offensive guard in the NFL. Everyone pray we re sign Jake because I am telling you right now if they put Martin at LT Tannehill is going to get beat up real bad with the schedule we have in 2013.

Most knowledgeable ones know our LG in 2012 should have been tagged " LG SLASH Assistant Left Tackle." John jerry is not going to be anything special. What you see so far with Jerry is what you get. Mot much of anything tp speak of.
