Stafford is making a mistake, he would benefit greatly by staying one more yr. Not only fundamentaly, but financially.
-
Stafford's main problem right now is that he has bought into his own hype.
He still makes ill advised throws. I go to most Dawg home games and the Florida game. Stafford leaves us every single game going WTF? in terms of a few passes he makes. Such as in the Tech game this year with the pick 6 that ended up being the deciding factor in the game.
He still thinks his arm can do anything....including throwing off his back foot most times.
He doesn't make the right reads....often. In the first half of the Cap One bowl this year he overthrew, or threw into double coverage when he clearly had an open receiver 5 yards down the field if he just checked down.
He loves the party lifestyle and has come in to camp every fall pudgy.
He would be well advised to stay and work on these things. Not to mention he will have a solid OL back next year and AJ Green in his second year at WR. It is a HUGE mistake leaving. However, I don't think we will see that far of a drop off with Joe Cox at QB next year because of what I just mentioned.Vengeful Odin, dolfan32323 and Big E like this. -
Positives: Size and speed. He reminds me at times of Brandon Jacobs and then other times he is another Jamal Lewis. He has quick feet and is tough to bring down. He is the prototypical NFL running back. He will be the work horse.
Negatives: Injury prone.
Knowshon
Positives: He is a warrior when he is in the game. At times can remind you of a Barry Sanders, but can lower the shoulders when need be and get a tough yard or 2. Deceiving speed and is maybe the most athletic back we have seen in years.
Negatives: He gets burned by the faster, more physical defenses. In the NFL they only get more physical and faster. He also has trouble staying in the game. He takes himself in and out of the game, not the coaches. He has taken himself out of the game at times when the team needed him the most out there.
Right now I would take Beanie over Knowshon. If both stayed....I would think Knowshon goes above him next year. But right here...right now...Beanie goes first. It showed just how much he is missed that when he wasn't in the game, OSU just wasn't the same team. -
I'm glad we don't need a rookie QB because I don't want any part of Stafford.

-
Err, wasnt Peterson injury prone in college? Thats why he fell to 7th. I think 7 teams might reconsider now ....
Wells is the most talented back in the draft by far. -
Give me knowshon over beanie any day.
-
Really? Man. I dunno. Beanie Wells...so big, so powerful, so fast, performs really well in big games. Ten cent head but that's beside the point.
-
Wells reminds alot of LT.....The LT now.
-
Just seems like runners like him are dominating the NFL right now, Brandon Jacobs and Le'Ron McClain being examples. And I think that straight line comment might be overdoing it. Who knows, that comment could just be the start of disinformation season.
