If its true that Zach will be gone next year should we sign Lance Briggs and pick up Bernard Berrian to be our #1 WR they are both really talented and Berrian wont cost that much but Briggs will be highly paid but if it is true that zach will be gone and Marty Booker will be gone should we pick these two people up in free agency.

Would love to have both of those guys!!!

I dont really think it wouuld matter if we had jesus christ at WR until we get a solid QB who can be accurate

I don't want to pay the money Briggs will want, especially after we got blasted for paying Porter less(most likely). And I would easily prefer Bryant Johnson over Berrian. I think Johnson is much more well rounded and should be cheaper.

Javon Walker has publicly stated he would like to be traded out of Denver, depending on the price what is everyone's thoughts on him. I personally wouldn't mind a Walker/Ginn duo, if he can stay healthy that is.

oh gosh, imagine this as our 3-4 lb
Vernon Gholston, Zach Thomas, Lance Briggs, Joey Porter
then idk...Taylor, whoever, Roth at DL -
Johnson runs much cleaner routes, gets good seperation, and has better hands than Berrian.
Berrian might have better deep speed and ups, but that is about it.
I have watched both of them play each chance I get this season closely, as I knew they were upcoming FAs. -

don't go thinking that Matth ROth will have his spot easily next year... Rodrique Wright and Vonnie are doing very well there... and there are those kids in the draft... mister long and dorsey... and jason taylor also who was playing DE this year but our next Dcoord will probably put him back to Jack.. that is if he's still on the team

I actually think if we draft on of those DE's in the draft, and JT is back . . . Roth DEFINITELY doesn't start, which is fine by me . . . because he looks much more productive in situational pass rush modes. It's cool, we need depth anyways . . . Roth can also play DT . . . alot of versatility on this line. -
A little late to this discussion, but as you know, I am a Bears fan, so I will shed a little light on these guys for you. Lance won't play in a 3-4 alignment, and I don't see us shifting from that system any time soon. At least not into a system that Briggs would want to come here for.
As for Berrian, he's a guy I'd love to see in Miami. He reminds me a lot of Chambers in what we saw early on in CC's career. CC showed that if he could just step it up a notch, become a more consistent receiver and time his routes a little better, he could be one of the best receivers in the game. Berrian is similar. Moose has been our go-to intermediate and inside man. Berrian has typically been the go-long-and-catch kinda guy, but he's shown to be a more consistent pair of hands than CC ever was. He definitely helped Rex out a lot because he is very good at beating a defender to a spot. I think that would make him a good big-play receiver in a system such as ours, that relies so much on timed passes and a balanced spread receiving game (at least, our offense should rely on these factors). -
Happens every year. People get hyped up about potential free agents and 80% of them resign before free agency starts.
Free Agency tends to 90% of the time be about guys who get cut in Feb for salary cap reasons. -
There was already a thread about Javon Walker and personally, I would pass on him. -

I've got an idea, how about we avoid signing big name free agent, except maybe for a relatively low-priced veteran at QB, and build via the draft.
Patience is key. Instead of going for the quick fix, let's keep building a youthful foundation like we start doing this year. Let's trade for more picks! -
