Sorry CK, but I had to post this. A lot of people give McQuistan a ton of crap and he has been solid for us.

We tend to give ole Rocky Dennis so much crap because our run game just isn't what it used to be.

Seee!!! I told McQuistan it would help out his game if he removed the tinted shield from his helmet.

mcquistan was very bad first couple of games but if you watch the green bay game he actually had a pretty good game. so the question becomes did he turn the corner, is he improving and can we expect continued growth?

I've been impressed with McQuistan. Definately a nice signing by Ireland this year. He's filled in nicely IMO

I think we're going to start seeing are running game steadily become more productive.

Always walk backwards when approaching him. Then only speak to his reflection in a mirror.

Got to hand ot to people. From what I read on these sites it confirms that cows mated with giraffes a thousand years ago. Honest, some of you please, do not ever give up your day jobs. If it was up to these message boards half the NFL teams would have to cut 80 per cent of their players. McQuistan is what he is, a decent backup, thats why he was brought in. Most runs stopped is Incognito missing his block ? LMAO, more reason not to ever never join VIP. it seems you get dumber when you have that little VIP logo on your posts. Get a grip people, Smiley, Thomas and Grove are not good football players and no, they are never coming back. Smiley could not even make it thru 3 games before his shoulder almost fell off at Jacksonville and he could not practice in full all summer.

Justin Smiley: Injured
Jake Grove: Unemployed
Donald Thomas: Unemployed
All I have to say. The one player I do miss along the offensive line is Nate Garner, but injuries happen and he will be back next year. -

For the record, there is NO VIP here. You must have this confused with "Another" site.:pity:
Now then, McQuistan has been steady for a last minute replacement, but I will be very very very happy when I see John Jerry plugged back in.
At the least, McQuistan can spell Incognito when he melts down, and Sparano has to sideline him to take an enormous bite out of his BUTTOCKS.
McQuistan probably wouldnt be starting for many/any teams, but I'm sure a handful would sure like to have him as a backup...ironically, that included Dallas :lol:ToddsPhins and padre31 like this. -

Well, the deal with McQ, the way I see it, is if he is a replacement for Nate Garner, then he still has to play Tackle, now if Sparano likes McQ's job, he could just as easily leave John Jerry on the bench as the Swing Tackle and backup Guard.

But he's so damned ugly....and that's coming from someone who isn't exactly model material myself !!
-
Besides, Sparano is an Oline coach at heart, so he probably looks at him like one of those slobbering English Bulldogs. -
Look at Dan Dierdork, one of the ugliest men alive (as well as worst commentator not named Collinsworthless) -
Can we please stop worrying about this dude's looks already?
I'm pretty sure none of you would say this stuff to his face either. ;)
Nobody said anything about those other players, so I'm pretty sure this is a copy/paste job from some other thread.
My giraffe mom taught me reading comprehension, right after my cow dad taught me common sense. ;) -
I've ALWAYS wanted to kiss a miniature giraffe. -

Not to say that he was correct in what he said...but we do have the "Club Level" on this site, that has a logo that goes under your avatar...so he called it "VIP"...LOL. It not like he was completely off base on that part.

IMO McQ has improved throughout his starting opportunity. He was a liability in pass pro early on. My impression was that when there was a pass pro breakdown, it came from the right side. Without using the coaches tape its often difficult to say who was at fault. Often the OL guys are passing rushers off so a miss by one guy will make the other lineman have to reach and look like the guy who got beat. I would question the assessment that he was only responsible for one hurry. There were more breakdowns in pass pro from the right side early on that I believe were most likely his fault. But against GB our OL was like a wall. That right side was clearly not making the mistakes it was making earlier. As for the run blocking, it's even more difficult to assess. None of our interior guys have been great. I think they all struggle when they are asked to pull and hit anybody in space. But our FB blocking has also been spotty. Basically, I see a ton of breakdowns in our run blocking, but I can't say McQ is better or worse than the other interior guys or even the FB.
