Sign him please. Use the cash from Ryan's restructure to get him a decent O-line.

He'd be a great addition. This isn't going to give us an elite O line by any means ,buy we're solid and we have depth now if this happens .

I think RT's restructure takes a first round QB off the table. But then, remember--this is me. And what the hell do I know about any of it? Not much!
But even as a the rankest of rank amateurs, I'd still consider drafting a couple of DL. Jordan Phillips, Davon Godchaux, and Vincent Taylor--that's pretty much all there is. If we could trade DeVante Parker, possibly trade back from #11 to #19 or #20, pick up another second and fourth rounder...then we could start getting some more of the pieces we need.KeyFin likes this. -
So far so good, liked it enough that he's spending the night.
Close the damn deal.

you really want another G with Sitton in the fold?
I'd honestly consider trading back for Hurst / Michel / Guice.
Cupboard is pretty bare for us at WR and TE -
But truthfully happy to see this acquisition, I didn't think that Gase was on this level OL wise of the page and blown away he is... Afraid we were going to see the continuation of those Half azz linemen we always brought in and crossed our fingers they'd be starting material....dolphin25 likes this. -

Just because one see's a different path doesn't mean the guy hates a player...
I don't hate Pouncey just doubt he'll make it enough to count on through a season.. Also last year he was held out of most practices for health reasons and mostly is not on the same level of old. And a guy who is the decision maker and sets up the OL, in a unit that depends a lot on conformity and Gelling together as a unit, who was held out and not able to even practice with his line....well make your own decision...
Pouncey was a wonderful player but its time to upgrade instead of waiting to were your stuck scratching you head with what to do which we've seen to much of in the past..... JMO
I guess if the injury bug hits, Larsen be C...

I hope to God that they can get this done. Sitton would be a major addition to the team, and provide some stability and nastiness to our line.
Make it happen! -
Josh Sitton - G - Dolphins
Dolphins signed OG Josh Sitton, formerly of the Bears, to a two-year contract.
Miami opened a massive hole on the interior of their line by cutting C Mike Pouncey on Thursday, but bringing Sitton in should help to plug the gap. Sitton will turn 32 in June, but he remained a quality option last season in Chicago. Even with Sitton on board, Miami has work to do on their offensive line.

This was a HUGE GET at one of our biggest positions of NEED. Love it. -
Seriously though, I hope Pouncey does well (unless he ends up in the AFCEast).KeyFin likes this. -
Great day for the Fins. Love every move they have made so far this offseason. One big time OG today and a very serviceable center, and huge upgrades in character. Couple that with two annoying WRs with a knack for getting open. Add a do or die year for Parker, a steady Stills, and The Drake....and hopefully a healthy, motivated Tannehill. Nice. Lots of sour pusses in Dolphin land, sometimes justified, but this is a day to feel good. If we can land a dangerous TE and some LB/Safety help in the draft will be a very good offseason. And QB is still in play too, maybe not as likely but they still might have more surprises up their sleeves. new year, new outlook, already excited for football, no time for the miserable curmudgeons. Davie must feel like a blooming spring Tulip right now.
And how could I fogetm the resigning of the venerable 39 yr old John Denney - the 7th or 8th best DE on the team.Last edited: Mar 15, 2018SocaCasualuk, Redwine4all and danmarino like this. -
Sitton is expected to start at left guard for the Dolphins, and was asked about the possibility of changing sides when he talked to local reporters today.
According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, Sitton was asked about the possibility of playing on the right side, and replied that it would be like “trying to wipe your *** with the other hand.”
Thankfully, the Dolphins are going to leave him on the left where he’s most comfortable, where he can mentor young tackle Laremy Tunsil.
