Yeh I heard about this one. The whole game is based around the intensity of the tackling.

 

Not a buy but definitely a rent.

 

can't really say that yet unless you won't buy games that don't have nfl names. I will wait and see I bought all pro football 2k8 I play that more often then madden imo its the better game.

 

Unfortunately consesus doesn't agree with you. They're not even sure if they are going to make another one. For me the game play was just to lackluster, compared to games they made from the past. And not having the NFL license hurts the gameplay in the fact that you get bored of playing with the same people over and over.

 

I'm with ya Bruzer. APF is a great game, just a shame they didn't have the licensing.

 

Yeah I posted some videos of this game on FH before it went down. Looks and sounds pretty good. Interested to see the final product.

 

I agree there but if 2K did have ability to do NFL I am sure it would now be the top football game. EA is becoming everything I hate about game companies they try nothing new they try no new leaps but why should they when a mass of people continue to buy their game when the game has nothing but basically one new feature and its ruining madden and the football games are getting old. I never buy madden my brother does and I am glad I don't or ever will because I don't feel like paying 60$ for a roster update and a tacky new gimmick feature.

I am just hoping Bioware doesn't become part of the EA trend now that they are owned by them.

Most people won't agree with me and that madden is going to always be best but we will see if the license that gets lifted and 2k gets a chance. So far imo 2k is better in every sport game other than maybe nfl but thats because they can't.

 

The grapics seem average to below average and although they have an amazing create a team feature I like playing games with current and real NFL players and teams.

 

I guess its a matter taste. I personally could care less about graphics as long as gameplay is good. I mean graphics cant look 10 years old on a next gen system but I can settle for average if gameplay is good.

 

Gameplay is 10X more important to me as well then graphics. You have all these new gen games that look incredible but play like crap. I'll take a subpar graphic engine with stellar game play any day.

 

I can deal with average graphics if the gameplay is good but the graphics for this game don't look average they are closer to below average, but when I rent it and the gameplay is good enough then I will buy it. Whether or not they have franchise will play a big part as well.

I'm still excited for this game. I was on their blog a couple weeks ago and they were taking long time members and using their names for the players in the game.

Im gonna buy it just because of how fun it looks....Im wondering what everyone else thinks about this game? How important is it that it is not NFL licensed to you?

If the game plays like it does in the trailers....then damn. For those who havent heard of this...Backbreaker will be utilizing the Euphoria engine to make every play, every tackle different all the time...it will actually calculate physics and force and the animation will change...you wont ever see the same type of tackle...and this means how the offensive line engages with the dline..etc...

I guess there will be a pretty robust logo creating tool...and they say its fully customizable....

If they have online leagues for this...I might quit my job..lol

 

games always look great when they advertise them. i'm a little skechy about it but its worth checking out. i am so sick and bored with madden, i never even played the demo this year.

 

Ill tell you one thing...I hope this game takes off like a brush fire....is soooo amazing..it puts at least a small dent in Madden...

Just for the fact that it will mean Madden will have to take their game up a notch...would love to see NFK 2K back in the fold with this type of technology

With a May release date, judging from the hands on, it sounds like there is quite a bit of work to still go....

As its the first go round with this franchise, I think Ill be patient, and be less critical. There are aspects of the game that sound awsome...maybe, just maybe, it will evolve into something that will force EA to get off their keesters

Yeh..I think theres enough to make this some really, really fun football play...they obviously dont have the deep pockets of an EA...

As they continually tweak this...itll get better and better, hopefully people take a liking to it, and give the developers some time....

Yeh...I agree. I want a competitor for Madden bad enough that Ill give it a shot just to see how it unfolds....the defensive play sounds incredible...gonna be tough to get past the uniform thing....but...we shall see
