Looks like he took that pay cut or restructured. Good news for the Dolphins.

David Cantor on 640am said O'Hara had signed in Miami, he is the agent for Tim Dobbins and also said Dobbins was told it was a money issue that led to his waiver.
Interesting about O'Hara though. -
excellent! now to resolve the left guard situation
-
OK, great, so now that Carey has apparently taken a pay cut/re-structured his deal, is it now Paul Soliai's turn? I'd love to see us get him off the tag and extend him. Just don't know if Ireland and company want to do that seeing as his best year was of course a contract year. However, I'd like to see it done. We could save ourselves some bigtime cash there probably.

Guess who is playing RG?
Garner v Colombo for RT?
And Ray Feinga is absent, could be the end of him in Miami? -
And the constant tinkering with the O-Line continues. Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

If we're kicking Carey inside and starting Colombo then we have downgraded both positions. Carey hasn't played guard since his junior year of college and Colombo has been terrible the last few years.
Probably also emans that John Jerry was yet another wasted pick on the o-line by this "o-line expert"SICK, DolfanJake and Ronnie Bass like this. -

It's a ****ty idea. Nate Garner is probably never going to be as good as Carey is at anything.

Well, that's bad news for John Jerry. One would think Leonard Davis at RG would have been a better option, he still may be. When Carey was drafted by Miami, IIRC, we had him at guard at some point in those first couple of seasons and I believe he preferred guard over tackle? Anyone else remember that?
-
I hope they are just trying some different configurations to see what they have. Carey didn't thrill me last year, I know he was dinged up some, but he sure seems like a better option than Columbo at RT.
-
But we can call it another o-line black mark for Ireland then if you prefer. either way, it ain't good.DolfanJake likes this. -

Well, it could mean that Jerry could be kicked outside. Unlikely, but...
-
ouch ..... not sure i could make that statement .....
a healthy, motivated Carey - ok ..... but when was the last time we saw that? I know i can't remember. Not uncommon with OL .... but being lazy and overweight really bugs me, especially when you have the talent to excel.
what bothers me though is that Colombo played really poorly last year, so i hope he was only an insurance policy - and not the primary investment. I honestly thought this would work in reverse .....
here's to praying for a healthy Garner or a Murtha epiphany .... -
-
I think the move is better for Careys career. and I think he will be better at G then he was at RT last year. However, we really really really need Colombo or Garner to step their game up, because with Hennes feet, hes going to get killed from the right side.

I can understand that This is Sparanos first head coaching job and that he inherited a squad stripped of talent. And that it takes time. I get that Finding a Top 10 Qb is for whatever reason boderline impossible for the majority of the league. But what I can't understand is how the O line, with all the Draft picks, and huge FA contracts, and Sparanos expert knowledge of the O line, still is a problem. Not to be rude but its the one area of the team that should be rock solid and dominant. I just can't forgive it at this point. If he doesn't have that line right and rolling early on I would fire him just over that. It's just not acceptable.

Hmm, here's a gun with 6 chambers and one bullett. Should I pull the trigger a few times and see what happens or can I just tell that would be a bad idea?
