Considering that last year the waters wre $5 and hot dogs were $7 inside the Murph :tantrum: (for a college game even, fortunately my alma-mata pulled off the road upset), the tailgate is a much welcomed idea.:yes:

Dude - You know the DOLFANMcGuire's will all be there in a very Aqua and Orange way. I'm hoping it's not a Monday night game if its before December as it would cut into Football practice at work. If its a Sunday game, we'll be staying in San Diego Friday and Saturday nights... Do the movies and Seau's thing, and some shopping. Definately will hang around the players hotel. They no longer stay at the Marriott though!

 

This is shaping up to be a great opportunity to catch some great members all in the same place. Sounds like a good time to use up some airline miles.

 

I'm going to try to make it to the game. If I do I'll swing by the RV for a beer or two.

 

I was hoping to make it to this game, but my niece scheduled her wedding that weekend. Unfortunately, I had a feeling this was going to happen. I was giving her a hard time about having her wedding during football season. Oh well, hopefully next time.

 

ok...Sept. 27th is the day. Anyone know the new team hotel? We'll be down Friday night and stay through the weekend. I'd love to buy tickets by everyone else if you organize it Fin Fan in Cali. Just let me know and I'll get you any cash you need.

I am very excited for this game! I should be coming with my kids and wife, father, cousins and some friends. All Dolphins fans except for my cousins husband which is a Giants fan (he's alright in my book).

I was trying to find out how much one of those club suites cost, but have had no luck. Fin Fan In Cali would you be able to point me in the right direction? Looking forward to seeing you along with the rest of the California Phins family.

Thing is, if I'm gonna come, I'm goin' all out for good seats.

On StubHub I see a seat in Row#1 behind the Visitor's bench in section 7 going for $300, but it says it's an obstructed view because of the players. (actually it says there's 8 seats available in row 1, if others are interested).

Man, it would be AWESOME to get to talk to the players before and during the game if I was in the first row!!!

John, you've been to Qualcomm, do you (or anyone else) know if you can see the field at all from the first row behind the visitor's bench? I want the best seats I can get to be close to the players, but still see the game.

I was there a few years back (we won by the way) and sat on the visitors side about row 7 I think around the 30 yardline. Awesome seats and a great experience. Row 1 is fine also. I bought the tix off stubhub or something like that site and it also said obstructed view. They were fine! You could see just fine. Players interacted with us. I'm gonna look into the same thing.

that has to be obstructed view. These players are huge in person. I had seats really close towards the 10-5 yrd line like 15yrs ago and couldnt see crap when the offense would go towards the opposite way.

Yeah, you pretty much can't see from the sideline to the near side hash marks from Rows 1-9. BTW - The players always stop by Seau's Friday or Saturday early evening. My boy met Junior Seau last time the Fins were in town and we beat them (Seau was a Fin but injured and didnt play)

 

Anybody know the new team hotel?
It used to be the Marriott but they moved.

 

Awesome. My boy and I sat on the south side of the screen on the bottom on the middle railing last time, Chargers side. It was a fantastic view and tickets were reasonable.

As for the Hotel, I was told it was on the other side of the Stadium from where the Marriott was across the freeway. Staying at the team hotel is always a great treat. I really hope to find out where they are staying so I can book it.

 

Wish you guys were coming to the East coast, would love ot meet all of ya. Maybe next year.

I'll hopefully be able to come. Haven't been to a football game in some time. Money's getting a little hard to come by especially with med school apps around the corner though. No idea what my sched's going to be like because of it but I should still remember my way around SD.

 

Loved the Mama Seau's Teriyaki Beef. It's to kill for. :knucks:

 

I looked over the list of Hotels near the stadium. I think the Fins may now be staying at the Hyatt Regency
