I was watching NFLN a little bit after this Evans tirade and they were saying they're going back to Heath because he has a few other fan bases to drive nuts. They were actually joking about it. So it isn't that Evans hates the Dolphins, it's that he's getting paid to spew obnoxious drivel to create drama and drive up the ratings. And anyone who falls for it deserves to be part of the joke. Heath Evans has long been on my "disregard" list.

 

He might be right. I don't like this signing one bit. Suh has a screw loose and we just broke our cap on him. I mean, it's great to say "we signed a superstar" but this team needs more than one guy. We have a lot of holes and now not much money to fill them.

 

I like to picture anyone talking **** about suh walking into a room and seeing suh sitting alone in the corner, just as the door behind them clicks shut with a clear locking sound.

 

Its not about if the deal is worth it or not. That may certainly be debatable.

This issue with Douche Evans, is his reasoning.....he's questioning Suh's elite status which is dumb and the reason why is even more dumb.

He's NFL Network's Skip Bayless, but with bigger teeth and a more punchable face.

 

He's a once a generation player who never misses games and is never hurt, with no off field issues. There are less crowd pleasing plays to be made from his position, so he won't be as popular as Watt, but his impact will be felt throughout our entire defense. He is nasty and mean, on the field, where it counts.

 

1. Joe Philbin is being framed? He's completely complicit. No framing necessary.
2. Heath Evans is wrong that Suh isn't a dominant player.
3. We may very well look back at this signing and regret it. $114 million/$60 million guaranteed no joke. Watching the New Orleans saints implode because of cap hell could very well be our future, regardless of Suh's production.

I stopped reading anything that comes from his cawk holster a looooong time ago.

 

I'm definitely no Heath Evans fan, but I'm guessing he will be proven partially correct - at least speaking in terms of Philbin's fate. But I have a feeling Philbin getting fired will have much more to do with his failures as a head coach rather than Suh's contract or performance.

Some of the things Evans says about Suh in that Detroit game some of us have been saying about Cameron Wake for years. He disappears in a lot of big games or in games where you would expect him to dominate. Hopefully having Suh around will lessen these disappearance acts.

Well he hasn't been arrested for drugging girls like Sharper or beating up hookers like Sapp yet but his will come. Basically if you are not in jail after you retire, NFL Network will have you.

He isn't even consistent in his arguments. When we drafted Jordan he said it was a mistake because Brady isn't effect by edge pressure and that the way to get to Brady is up the middle. So we sign arguably the best interior pass rusher in the league and that is also a mistake because of one game?

 

Evans a couple years ago: "I don't know what the Dolphins are doing, you need interior pressure to rattle Tom Brady!"

Evans is a tool, everyone knows that, hell, that's why he has a job, it's good to have a guy that everyone loves to hate.

The Suh contract is bad, and IS going to hamstring this team for the next few years, the only way around that is to be absolutely stellar in the draft.

Suh is overrated, he isn't really in the convo for best DT in the league, he's just outside that, 5th-7th best, he is John Randall jr, a disruptive PASSRUSHING DT, who is not that good against the run.

Part of Suh's hype are his violent dirty plays, PART, as I said he is a top 5 type of talent, but we paid him as if he was historically great, and he's not that, and DT can only do so much.

Suh get's moved by double teams, he always has, he can't anchor the point of attack, he is at his best rushing the passer with his superior athletic ability, not superior strength, very good strength for a passrusher, but not great strength for a DT.

Suh got A LOT of credit for Detroit being a top D, and top run D last year, but they spent the last 4 years prior building a very good D to surround him with, so it was a team effort.

So because of his huge contract, get ready to watch talent leave this team, I'm not sure how we're supposed to build a winner when we won't be able to keep some of our own talent due to his exorbitant contract, which is why Detroit let him go, he's not worth it.
