Morning News - TE Keller/WR Brandon Gibson - Updated Mike Wallace Deal

Interesting if they sign Gibson would that take Austin off the table at 12?

Keller would be fantastic considering cook is off the market

Down for Keller, not so much with Gibson.

Don't want Gibson either, would rather add more WR's though the draft now.

Gibson is visiting the Jets today, maybe us showing interest and inviting him down is a ploy to make the Jets pay more for him?

Eh, personally with BLine and Wallace and Bess in tow, Wr is not a huge priority atm.

Though a guy who is almost worth the roll of the dice is Danario Alexander, or maybe Mike Williams.

I also think Josh Cribbs is intriguing, but Thigpen is younger and cheaper and makes more roster sense (#3 Rb vs # 5 Wr) and Cribbs just never developed as a Wr.

Gibson would make sense had we not signed Hartline...doesn't make sense now. sign a TE in FA, draft Patterson and you now have enough weapons to match the best offenses in the league.

He fits what they want, we'd need to add more of a blocking Te.

I think people should keep in mind the Patriots have upgraded their Defense especially the front 7, we absolutely have to have a Te who can keep the Lb's honest. And I always liked Keller's game, thought he was underrated in that puke green.

He was always hurt, that is the big knock on him.

hmm keller is ok not sure he solves are problems though

Keller was my first choice before Cook anyway. Wallace-Keller-Hartline is a damn good receiving corp.
Then we can use our #1 pick on Xavier Rhodes.

He solves the lack of any Te of any merit on the roster issue.....

he played every game since last season where he missed 8 games but before that he was 16/16 for 4 years

Keller has got the name and all but I don't want this to be a 2011 Eagles repeat. Signing Keller would give it the makings of just that. I like Keller but unless the deal is affordable I really don't want him. If we are adding another WR I do like D.Alexander from San Diego and I like Mike Williams from TB but I don't think we are in play for them. Derrius Heyward-Bey is out there too.
We do need to replace Fasano so if Keller is the guy thats fine I just don't want to see us overpay for him.
