I've heard some people theorize that the reason we let Keller walk away is because Long didn't like what was offered by the Rams and wants to come back.

We need an OT if long leaves. Winston is most likely that guy. We won't need winston if we resign long. Long is seeing if he can get more elsewhere. Hence we are waiting on long.

Big Jake needs to just come back to Miami, get himself healthy, and get back to being arguably the best left tackle in football once again.

Does anyone realize that the percentage of pressures that Jake has given up in the past two years in what are considered to be down years for him are still equal to or better than the career averages of guys like Ryan Clady, Duane Brown, and Joe Staley?

The guy is 27 years old and is two years removed from being rivaled only by Joe Thomas as the league's best left tackle. Resign him. Give him a one year prove it contract. If he's healthy, let him cash in next year.

 

Why would he accept a one year prove it contract from us when St. Louis is probably offering a multi-year deal?

 

I think once the dust settles and the truth comes out the big delay in all of this is going to trace back to his dogs charlie poodle twitter acct. Apparently the dog is very invested into living in Miami and wants no part of the ST Louis scence. From my understanding his dog is of the oppinion that there is nothing worth pooping on there and perfers the *****es in South Beach.

 

Jake Long does not dominate, Jake Long never dominated. Jake Long is a decent tackle, that's about it. Not worth a penny more than Eric Winston.
