So the Dolphins front office has been strengthening the defense in FA. If this keeps up it looks like it will be an offense heavy draft...thoughts?

I sure hope so..we need some weapons on offense especially if we lose clay. And we need to fix the offensive line. So yes offense heavy draft baby.

Depends on how they feel about the youngins at LB, S, OG, WR, both on the team and in the draft. Outside of DL it's hard to say any position has been improved so far.
-
I would think that this point the DL and CB aren't in the plans for round 1. Eliminate QB, OT, C as well of course, but I think that along with WR and OG, MLB or S could still be a very vaild choice.

With the pass rushers and offensive guard positions being very deep this year I will be angry if we don't go first and second with our picks on those two. I think a impact pass rushing olb will be available with the first and I think we can still get a good starting og in the 2nd

A good year to go WR, as deep as the draft is in that area.

And then there's Jamar Fletcher. Thanks Dave.... -
We need to draft 2 LBs & 1 safety.

My preference would be for them to draft a CB, MLB, and a safety with their first three picks. They need help at offensive guard so I wouldn't argue with it if they used one their first three picks to upgrade the guard position.
Even with the addition of Suh, the defense still needs major upgrades at several positions. To me, this years draft should be about rebuilding the defense and the 2016 draft can be the draft to fill in the major needs on offense. -

Let's see how the rest of FA pans out. IF we can pick up a solid #2 WR and Guard, I'd agree, aside from that...I seriously expect a WR in round 1.
Cooper's a pipe dream probably...but I thought the same about Suh...Tannenbaum ain't f***in' around. I'm not trying to pretend to be a GM or anything, but we BADLY need a stellar WR...somebody who can go get the damn ball.Phins Up Wins Up and resnor like this. -
I really don't see any other WR in the draft worth the 14th overall pick and that includes Parker. Hopefully they can add a veteran WR in free agency or draft a WR in rounds 4-7.
I just see rebuilding the defense as more of a priority than adding a WR in the early rounds of the draft.
Suh should be the beginning of the rebuilding process, not just a player they think can come in and instantly make this a top defense again. They have to find an upgrade at MLB,a solid CB opposite Grimes and a long term answer at the safety position next to Jones. -
CB/MLB is the biggest issue IMO. After that comes WR, FS, depth at RB/OL. Way too much to deal with in one draft so expect to see some unproven guys out there being relied upon to step up. Guys like Sheppard, Taylor, Thomas, Hazel, Turner, Jordan, etc.

Disagree. Miami put up 25 ppg avg last season. I'd like to stack this defense to the friggin moon. Give me the BA /CB/SS/MLB with the #1 pick please. I'd like to see Trae Waynes if he falls to us opposite Brent Grimes. Killer pass rush plus killer coverage = turnover city for this defense. Give me Trae Waynes, or Landon Collins. whichever falls to us I think one of them will.

Regardless, my point was that as a fan and draftnick, Wayne was the player that I wanted then, not looking back with hindsight all these years later. I watched Brees play A LOT in college, and while I liked his style, I was very uncertain about his physical skills. Would I have rather drafted him than Fletcher? Of course, but I went into that draft looking at Reggie Wayne as my number one plausible target for the Fins, and when they passed on him, I was irate. That offseason, we were linked to either Trent Green or Matt Hasselback via trade (I don't remember which year was which) and we whiffed on it. I had dreams of landing one of them and then picking up Wayne in the draft, and our offense having a profound improvement. -
Now that it is pretty much confirmed that Philbin isn't giving much input, maybe Dorial Green-Beckham is a possibility... I'd love to take him with a second round pick and address another need in the first round (CB or MLB) question is, will he last that long?

what we can expect is that no matter who we draft we will still get a draft grade "C-" from the so called draft experts.
I hope we draft a really good tight end and a good running back in this draft so I am hoping we draft offense this year and defense next season. -

Personally, I like Waynes a lot. Better chance that he is there than Cooper or White. -
