24/21/26
24th in pass 21st in rush. 26th overall.
Let's see if some extra time can make Miami help protect the run and pass, maybe with TE's and a fullback. Guess what? all they practiced in camp is useless. Need to do something else on the fly.

Guess we’re going primetime...poor America...
But for us dolphin fans, it should be riveting adult drama to see if Gase has lost the team.bigballa2102 likes this. -
think about this..we lost our two best leaders on offense..and were seeing what happens.
It took a while, but Ryan grew into that leadership role, thru hard work, dedication, years of waiting to take the proper place in the seniority role, and most importantly, the guy everyone looked at when they didn't know what to do...he was there to tell them what to do, I have a feeling he covered a lot of ***#s on this offense, and these players miss him dearly..They relied on that guy..
Branden Albert..he was the leader of that line..period..he held them all accountable..
both gone, you have lost puppies looking for their daddies..resnor, jdallen1222, Fin D and 2 others like this. -

After this implosion at qb, RT deserves to come back. Id like a better deal, and I also want Miami to bring in competition. Will be hard when there is so much needs at the line.

well, another game against an opponent that was totally dominated. Now we come in, could we do the same? The stats of this game were amazing. Oak ran 14 times for 54 yards. Buff ran 37 times for 166.Taylor managed the game 20/27 for 165. As expected, Carr threw for over 350 because they were down.

If I'm the Phin's front office I ask Ryan this. "Do you want to play making 20M behind this dumpster fire, or do you want to play for 15M and we keep you upright and healthy"
I'm confident he restructures because this is a legit question to ask him.danmarino likes this. -

and it has nothing to do with RT himself. It's the state of the franchise. It's a delicate situation on the offensive side of things. He has done us no favors, where he controls this. They need help everywhere, and frankly, if they wanted to draft a qb and save a ton more money, then do that. This is bigger than RT himself. THEY CANNOT SCORE POINTS. What's the point of paying your QB $19M, if you cannot score points?[/QUOTE]danmarino likes this. -
I will say this, Shady McCoy is a fast MF'er. Different runner than Ajayi. Pride aside, I play Drake a little more to give Oak the potential same struggles they faced with Buff and hope he can break one. Nothing wrong also, on resting Jay Ajayi.

Personally I would think Ryan would be a sucker to take that deal...resnor and jdallen1222 like this. -

Correction-
1) The Dolphins can't currently score points WITHOUT their $19M quarterback on the field.
2) Tannehill will have missed 21 games (including playoffs last year) due to knee injury.
3) There's no guarantee that RT is going to catch fire in 2018.
Adding those three things together does not equal a guy willing to restructure his contract to make less money- RT would be certifiably insane if he entertained that notion. If anything, he should ask for more money with the state our offense is in.CanGasePlaybook likes this. -
Wow! Just got back from 2 weeks hiking in Japan and man a lot of stuff has changed lol.
First of all.. ASTROS!! First WS ever!! I actually took time out of hiking in Japan to watch many of those games lol. And just now George St. Pierre comes back from 4 years retirement and defeats (formerly WAY overrated) Bisping to win the UFC MW championship (first thing I did after getting back from the airport lol)!!
Oh yeah.. Dolphins. I watched that spanking by the (who else) Ravens live in Japan. But I didn't know we traded Ajayi until I got on the boards just now. Like I said.. WOW!
I haven't read all the posts on this (probably won't) but my take is that neither Gase nor anyone else really understands why the offense is so inept. I seriously think what they're seeing in the games (inability to sustain drives and inability to score often) is just perplexing to them. It happens.. not every cause is easy to identify.
Regardless, I do like Gase's willingness to try bold and risky moves. I wouldn't have traded Ajayi (just start a different RB if you want to send a message!), and I would prefer we have a dedicated OC with Gase focusing on HC duties only, but you have to try risky stuff, even stuff that may seem questionable, when nothing else seems to work. It's certainly a better approach than Philbin's!
In the end all that matters for me from the regular season is getting into the playoffs so I'll wait before crucifixion.Dolphin Dundee likes this.
