I’m just saying I’m still in on him as coach. He’s very young and learning on the fly. He’s better than most we have had and I’m willing to continue the experience. I do have some offseason thoughts I will be posting but we’re in playofff mode and don’t want to distract from that.

Perhaps a little more sample size is needed cause this is some deep shit you’re talking about

I think its way too early to want to get rid of a HC who’s got 20 wins in his first 2 seasons as a HC. Seems like anything, he would have to get better with experience and learning from mistakes. If his teams continue to collapse at the end of the season over the next couple years, then we have something to talk about.

Next year will be tough managing salary cap hell, so we’ll see how well he coaches these players and if they make more strides on both sides of the ball in year 1 and 2 of the respective sides of the ball. I’d like to see us add a legitimate TE to add another layer of this offense. That or we have to find a 3rd WR who can step up when Waddle and/or Hill are out.

if a team takes on the personality of its coach and the coach is a goofball, the team may very well find it difficult to match the seriousness of opposing teams that are highly driven to win.

McDaniel doesn't want to win, he's just lining up his second career as a standup comedian.

There were certain mitigating factors involved in how both seasons ended. A win on Saturday puts to rest some of that, agreed? And as far as being manhandled, my assessment of their play differs from yours so I simply disagree with the statement

The Dolphins' EPA per play in the second half against Buffalo was an extremely woeful -0.49, whereas Buffalo's was 0.004. On a season-long basis this year that would place Buffalo 13th in the league in EPA per play and the Dolphins far and away dead last. Likewise the Dolphins have performed terribly offensively in the second halves of the last four games, despite performing very well offensively in the first halves of those games.

Everyone that he's interacted with, players, media personnel other coaches say he's a leader and inspiring. I guess you're used to leaders who yell and scream and are all discipline ( like BB). How many teams win missing both starting pro bowl caliber Ends, 2 starting linebackers, starting safety? How many teams win missing 80% of the starting OL for most of the year?

Certainly the injuries have been impactful overall, but they don't explain the tremendous drop-off in offensive performance between the first and second halves of the past four games. It's as if right when one would expect a team to bear down and play better -- during the second halves of contested games during a late-season playoff push -- the Dolphins' offense has instead been thoroughly manhandled. The Dolphins' offense has been 3rd-best in the league in the first halves of those games -- 3rd-worst in the league in the second halves. Of course there is no magical transformation in skill or ability either team undergoes at halftime, which means the issue is far better explained by emotional factors.

And why is emotional anger so "appropriate" or "wanted" to show that you're a "man" or an "alpha"? You obviously haven't watched any videos about McD and his personal journey. If you had you would never say things like he's not a serious person. He's intellectually serious.

Leadership is an art that most never even sniff at mastering or even study. To see a couple clips or a few pressers and then make a judgement you know nothing about just goes to show something about you @61932.
