Why fire o'shea?

 

Its a risky gamble should Grier/Flores make it.. Im not going to dismiss it because with this front office anything is possible.. they would take the chance and we will be forced to root for Brady. Though i feel some “dolphins fans” have been rooting for him for a while now..

Ive heard the “rooting for the patriots so the superbowl trophy can stay in the afc east” dumbass argument too much..

 

I'll be mad if we sign Brady. He's no longer a great QB, he's old and I'd rather try to find our franchise QB in the draft, especially given our draft capital. Pick Tua and focus on the rest of the team.

I do hope Brady goes to another team though because I want more data on how Belichick does without Brady and vice versa.

 

I'd be ok with it IF, we still draft a rookie and Brady is going to teach him the ropes.

 

As Fin D said. Fine with it if he’s here to mentor. An added plus is he screws over that fan base and taints his legacy by going to a division rival.

He might be an *******, but he would be our *******. I hated Dennis Rodman when he played in Detroit but as soon as he put on the Bulls jersey that all changed.

 

I'd be okay with it IF we played a division rival in week one and Brady got KO'd...that's about the only way I'd be happy to see him in Miami. I really dislike him that much...

 

When Marino was done there was some chatter about him going to Pittsburg. In the end he wisely put his ego aside and decided to retire. His legacy with Dolphins fans would have taken a beating had he become a Steeler. Likewise, Brady has nothing left to prove, doesn't need the money and, if he comes to Miami and doesn't win another SB, his legend will be diminished. Just a frustrated Pats fan venting.

I also think it's worth rubbing salt in their wounds as long as we can because the Pats dynasty was torture. Well.. something to forward to.

Brady is going to view the AFC East the most winnable division still. Lets see his other options..

The media has linked him to the Chargers... but that also means never having a home field advantage, facing the Chiefs twice and the Broncos with Drew Lock are on the rise..

IF the Titans dont manage to get a deal done with Tannehill, they may be an option. I think Tannehill gets that deal done.

belichick has leaked stuff out in the media that he is interested in Andy Dalton and that he can win a super bowl with Dalton.. in belichicks eyes, he views the challenge of winning with a quarterback like Dalton just as valuable as 2 rings with Brady. He could also be doing that to knock down Brady’s negotiations.

 

THis is how I feel about it. It may be all part of the master plan anyway. Think about it...We draft Tua with the fifth pick in the draft. He instantly becomes the third string QB behind Brady and Fitzpatrick. He would have two incredible veteran players to learn from before taking over the job. One of them being arguably the greatest of all time, the other being a veteran journeyman that has played in pretty much every offense imaginable. Brady would be a lead by example type of influence on Tua (or whatever rookie we draft) as would Fitzpatrick. Both Brady and Fitzpatrick command and instantly earn the respect of their teammates. Tua would get the ultimate mentor(s) while he sits and learns. It sounds crazy enough to happen.

 

I've seen some arguments that the NFCEast would be the weakest division. Giant and Redskins are bad. Eagles can't keep Wentz healthy. Dallas should have dominated that division but poor coaching and fair-good QB play held them back.

Let Dak walk, sign Brady for two years, draft a QB in the second or third to develop. They'd save a TON of money compared to the 30+ million per year that Dak wants. I don't need another reason to dislike the Cowboys, but having Brady there would help.

 

Go to the Giants Marcia. Biggest stage, weakest division,history with Bellyache and the patsies. That would be perfect. He knows the coach even. Maybe him and Eli could switch places and Marcia could finally beat him in the Super Bowl. I'd pay real money to see that.

 

I think Tannehill is more likely to end up in NE than Brady is here.

 

Brady's not going to come to Miami...or leave for any other team. He's going to re-sign with the Patriots, they're going to draft a QB and he'll mentor his successor.

Either that or he'll retire. Like Marino in Miami and Elway in Denver, Brady is going to retire in New England.

 

I'd rather root for Brady than some guy that beats women. There are much better places to go for him to finish out his career. SD...Carolina...even Minnesota.

 

I don't buy the whole Brady as a veteran mentor bit either. Not his style, definitely don't see him doing that for another team. Maybe for the patsies, but even then.

 

I was just about to say something similar. I’ve heard many people praise many of Tom Brady's qualities over the years, but I have never heard anyone praise Brady for mentoring his junior QBs. Ryan Fitzpatrick on the other hand has been getting that praise for a solid 7 or 8 years As far as i can remember.

 

Sometimes being a mentor is nothing more than setting the example for the younger to watch, learn and emulate. You would HOPE however, after being with an organization for as long s Brady has that he would WANT to pass what he knows on to his successor. Marino did with Huard. Taught him everything he could. Just didn't take :pity:

If the dolphins do end up drafting Tua or Jalen Hurts, i hope not but it is what it is, sitting behind Brady for two seasons would help them..

NFC east is weak in any form of football.. theres nothing i would take from any nfc east team and add it to ours whether it’s special teams, offense or defense.. there isnt a team in the NFC east that doesnt need an overhaul. Every team in that division has had major coaching changes this offseason, including the Eagles who have moved on from their offensive coordinator and wide receiver coach.

the dolphins have the makings of a great defense and they seem to have developed some sort of identity offensively that needs a few pieces.. add Najee Harris in the draft, go after a vet receiver to pair with Devante Parker, and add some more pieces on that offensive line.. we are not that far off from establishing that identity on offense..

Right now, today, Fitzmagic is better than Tom Brady.

Historically, we have been pretty solid at beating Brady. The key was always getting pass rush whether it be Cam Wake or Jason Taylor, rushing his decision making was his kryptonite.

Fast forward to week 17. The Miami Dolphins beat Tom Brady with zero pass rush, and we dropped everyone (a rag-tag group of bandaid corners) into coverage, and we dominated him.

The Tom Brady of old woulda had our lunches and dropped 50 on us. I'm tell you guys, the old Tom Brady is gone, and he aint coming back.

 

LOL, he mentored Jimmy G right out of the building...

 

We are going to replace our 37 yr old starting QB for a 43 yr old QB? Why not just bring back Steve Deberg?
