Bring down the metal doors and tell Peyton, "Sorry Peyton, I am afraid you cannot leave."

Peyton: Well that was a great meeting, I'll be going now. My agent and I will keep in touch.
Ireland: Im sorry Peyton, but I'm afraid I can't allow you to do that....

It will be a news story if he signs. Right now all this tells me is that Manning wanted to get out of Indy in the winter time and come to South Florida, where he has a vacation home. I hope he is interested in coming to play for the Dolphins, but after the Fisher and Harbaugh episodes of the last two season, I'll only believe Manning is even interested in the Dolphins IF he actually signs a contact. Right now I tend to think that this is just the first of many places Manning intends to visit, before he actually signs with the Jets, Cardinals, Redskins, or Seahawks.

It's 68 degrees in Indianapolis.
I can't see Manning signing with the Jets
The Jets are not going to give up on Sanchez yet. I can pretty much guarantee you that. Also even as a Dolphin homer I can't see a guy as smart as Manning wanting to play for an organization like the Redskins who just throw money at names and hope to win. As for Seattle I guess it is possible but I just cant see it.
Arizona is the only legitimate threat I can see of those teams.
I just hope Ross doesn't tell Manning "You can audible all you want, but the final decision is Jeff Ireland's."

Dang!!! I have to go change my freaking pants!!! Please let this happen soon!!
Time for Miami to hand him the keys to the city! Can't wait for the "Yes we did" party at JRS hosted by Pitbull.....
Come on down Peyton, you are the next contestant on Who Wants to be the Dolphins Savior!!!
This news has me slightly off my rocker..

Outside or Larry Fitz I cant see a single advantage to him going west. There are east coast people and there are west coast people.....and some how a few in between
http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=7655977 check at 7:00... Vegas has Dolphins 18-1... could it all just be a coincidence?
He and his wife spend their offseasons at their South Beach condo. So that's where I assume he's headed.
err, I mean....ZOMGz!!! WE GOT HIM!!!

20 years of suffering. NE game where we gave up 11 points in the final minutes to squander the AFCE. The Jets winning on a last second field goal to knock us out. 62-7, 38-3, 31-3, San Diego safety, Thurman Thomas, Cam Cameron, JJ "We will run the football", Wanny "Punting is good & Who needs Brees, we don't want to hurt Fiedlers feelings, Dante is in better shape then Brees, Fist Pump Field goal champ..... All these years of pain can be eliminated with a true franchise player leading this team again. I forgot what it was like to play meaningful football with a feeling of superiority.. Peyton can bring that to Miami if he can get healthy.

Signing Manning will be better than actually winning a SB!

Call me optimistic Muck but I really don't think he is going to his vacation home. He knows for a fact he will be cut tomorrow and for a fact that he has teams to meet with. Why would he go to his vacation home to leave in just a few days. Makes absolutely no sense.
Someone shop a Dolphins jersey on Peyton.
I thought it had to be made official on the 8th? Regardless, that only furthers the point I was trying to make.
You could have not spelled it out any better. i want this to happen so bad. when marino was in you could watch every game and go into it expecting to in. after marino it slowly changed to expecting to lose and getting excitied to win a meaningless game. if peyton comes here, it will completly change, and if he were to come and fail, which i highly doubt would happen, at least this organization say we tried for once to get "the guy", the difference maker.
At the end of the day, he was waived like Ray Feinga.
Dolfans in the area should blockade Davie so he cannot leave until he signs a deal.

The Miami Heat has offered him courtside BENCH seats for tonight's game if he wants them. (this is real)

Perfect, if he accepts, then block the doors and exits and go Don Corleone.."a signature on the contract, or your blood, your choice"

those seats cost about 5k a piece...so the Heat is already helping with the signing bonus....(Pat Riley is God)
