Starter or depth?
Ideal position?
I'm glad Irish is still working. Now get a damn DE or CB or both. -
Well I can tell you one thing straight away. Coming out of San Diego State he was 6023 and 303 lbs and ran a ridiculous 4.76 at his pro day.
Sooo...we know why the Dolphins are attracted to this guy. :)Larry Little, Da 'Fins, vt_dolfan and 14 others like this. -
Downfield pull blocker, go. He inside or outside OL?

Background says he was a top 10 tight end recruit (in the country) coming out of high school. After suffering a knee injury in 2006 he moved to the offensive line. First he played right guard in 2007 and then he played right tackle for San Diego State.
Put that background together with his pro day results and it screams "zone scheme".
But then you put it together with his injury history and it screams "Joe Toledo".thisperishedmin, Bpk, Sethdaddy8 and 8 others like this. -

thanks Padre & parrot.
The notion of Jerry and Martin as starting tackles is unacceptable IMOPhinfanjt likes this. -

He got his *** kicked at Tackle but seems like a solid guard. He doesn't really seem as athletic as his 40 yard dash would suggest though

I would think that this seemingly eliminates Warmack and Cooper from the #12 discussions, but I don't think we were considering them anyway.

Without knowing anything else, they went younger and perhaps more mobile with Louis in relation to Brandon Moore.
I'd imagine Moore was probably (rightfully) asking for more than what Miami paid for Louis.
Chicago media has said he was Chicago's best lineman last year and a guy they'd prefer to keep, though him getting a 1-year deal this late in the game, you'd just like to know the details.Da 'Fins likes this. -
Would like to see them pick up a Brandon Manumaleuna style offensive linemen-eligible guy, but I don't think they'll do it with Louis.
-
All the same, don't like two tears on that knee.
EDIT: Here is the hit.

As Muck stated previously, 5 NBC Chicago described Lance Louis as Chicago's best offensive lineman. He's 27, 6'3" 320lbs
http://www.nbcchicago.com/blogs/grizzly-detail/Lance-Louis-Signs-with-Dolphins-Report-200326111.html
The Miami Herald described him as an ascending player with the Bears who chose Miami over the Bears and a couple of other teams. he was signed to a one year contract.
