The Dolphins have worked out Braulon Edwards as Hard Knocks reported. He's healthy and a SERIOUS option to be signed.

Yep, the 49ers actually CHOSE to keep him on the football team, unlike Braylon. -
If we had more nationally televised games I would be all for signing Edwards. Always seemed like that was the only time he cared enough to play decent.
Id rather bail David Boston out of jail and put him in rehab before signing this waste.dolfan32323, Hiruma78 and Tone_E like this. -

Dude can play. He was injured last year. Niners didn't need him with that group and Randy Moss.
The Hard Knocks producer told Sirius today. Nobody knew otherwise.

go get Mike Wallace and be done with it. I am actually excited for Roberto Wallace to get a shot. If he is putting it together he can be an intriguing option that wouyld make us look good in the nat'l scene. A player not highly touted found and developed.
If Gates is doing well like Omar says between he, Chad J, Davone and Wallace plus Hartline I think we will be fine. Clay and Fasano will be weapons as well -
I don't value draft picks as highly as some, but let's be honest here, Ireland wastes a ton of them to trade some cuts down our odds of landing some roster upgrades that are cap friendly. -

I haven't seen much on Gates other than he can still run by guys. Would like it if a few of the beat guys would rank their Top 6 or 7 to this point.

They work out guys every week. Standard ops. I know Braylon also worked out for Seattle this week.
I'm one that thinks a healthy Braylon makes this group better. But like Chad Johnson, I also don't see him as a long term guy right now. So I'd be surprised if he was signed in the immediate future. Save for an injury, you're sacrificing at least one young player. I think the Dolphins want to see more from these kids before making a decision like that.

For me, I love this "Hard Knocks Effect" aspect of this, in prior times we would not have heard a thing about such a SOP action, now we hear it in the same week that it happens.
Under the Sparanoid approach, we would not have heard a thing which used to drive me crazy with frustration, we worked out Butter Edwards..so what? -
No doubt Hard Knocks has footage of the workout too, and likely interviewed Edwards.
That's going to be one of the really cool parts of this once it gets rolling. We'd likely be seeing clips of that workout a few days later.

Eh?

SF cut him long before signing Moss. Why? He just isn't an NFL starter anymore.azfinfanmang likes this. -
Yes.I think this may be an indication of concern over Hartlines injury and disappointment in the development of young receivers including Gates .
Fuller may be the only keeper among this years draftees and pickups besides 85 and perhaps NaneeFin-Omenal likes this. -
He's dun!...actually, he was never that great to begin with.Fin-Omenal likes this. -

No thanks...

Is Plaxico no longer a free agent? Honestly, I'd rather go after Burress than Braylon.
