This thread is where you'll be posting your final roster. IMPORTANT! If you DO NOT post a final roster, you will be ineligible for voting!
You may include an optional write-up, but all we really ask for is your full roster with your offense and defense depth chart. You have until May 18th, 11:59PM EST to post your final rosters. However, if you think you did a good job in free agency or the draft or in trades, you'll want to list those separately for consideration. Otherwise, people will have a hard time seeing how you got from point A to point B.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS!

My goal was straight forward: take the SB Champs, who had just $4.2M in cap space but $45.5M worth of Free Agents,
and return them back to form while trying to maintain the integrity of Seattle's philosophy, schemes, player style, etc,
especially their emphasis on defensive front versatility and the use of varied sub packages and waves of defenders.
The Oline needed an overall upgrade and have some nasty added to it, and now it's a 330 avg pound mauling unit that can zone block;
WR was a mess; CB was depleted; TE was lacking; and the Dline was gutted by free agency and cap casualties and needed a complete rebuild.

TRADES
-
Houston Texans
The goal: To overturn the league's least winning team as much as possible.
Achieved: A roster that is not only significantly better, but only features 10 remaining players from the 2013 Texans.
Goal: To destroy their lightweight 1 gap 3-4 and beef it up.
Achieved: Went from a 290lb NT to 330lbs. Brought in a younger, deeper, bigger, stronger rotation of 3-4 ends to terrorize.
Award Consideration:
-Best in Trades (League leading 38 trades that led to only 10 retained players and only a few retained starters. Made shrewed use of franchise and restricted trades acquiring Alterraun Verner, Sam Shields, Chris Harris Jr. and LB Josh Bynes)
-Secondary of the Year: Alterraun Verner, Sam Shields, Chris Harris Jr., Johnathan Joseph & Jeremy Lane. Add in Glover Quin and Dawan Landry at SS and 3rd round pick Terrence Brooks and solid cover safety Shiloh Keo and teams don't have a passing chance. Especially with a front 7 that brings massive pass rush ability.
-Team on The Rise: This team is now primed for a playoff return
-Best In Draft: Shuffled around the board and not only obtained players in solid spots before others could pounce....but kept close to the real nfl draft board. Obtained 3 Dolphins targets in GML draft. Snared the 2 best 5 tech's in Hageman/Tuitt. Got Terrance Brooks within 4 spots of where he actually went. And draft steals in Lewan at 23 (went 11th) Billy Turner at 90 (went top of 3rd), Lorenzo Taliaferro in the 6th (went in the 4th) and Matt Hazel undrafted who Miami took in the 6th.

Philadelphia Eagles
Offense
We are returning a lot of pieces from the NFL’s #1 ranked offense last season, but there was room for improvement. Even though Foles played well last season, we wanted to bring in the prototypical Chip Kelly athletic quarterback to run the offense to its maximum potential. Our other objective was to upgrade the pass catchers. While the offense excelled with a mediocre group of pass catching options, we needed more game breakers to make the offense unstoppable. We upgraded this beyond our belief. Out are Jackson, Avant, and Celek and will be replaced with Evans, Bryant, Maclin and Witten. We will be running an up tempo, multi dimensional offense featuring plenty of playmakers and formations.

Last year the Eagles defense was what held the team back. The team lacked pass rush, had mediocre LB play and had an atrocious safety tandem. On defense we accomplished all of these goals. We brought in game changers at each level of the defense. Chandler Jones and Dion Jordan will aid the pass rush, while Curtis Lofton will give the team a leader a MLB. In the secondary we added All-Pro Eric Weddle with a number of young players with a lot of potential.

2014 INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
GM: Wyld Colts
HC: Chuck Pagano
OC: Pep Hamilton
DC: Greg Manusky
Summary: Coming into the offseason late to replace a general manager can be tough, but luckily he didn’t really make any moves. However I did miss out on the start of free agency, but my goal was to pick up as minimal contracts as possible for depth players and possible starters.
This strategy worked for players like JD Walton who is still coming off injury. The most I spent was probably for Dustin Keller who can still be a valuable starter in the league if healthy. I brought in former starters for the league minimum and looked at drafting players who can start down the line, or be plugged in now. Versatility and experience in my players is important as evident by both the rookie class and the free agent class.Click to expand...
1. Andrew Luck
2. Matt Cassel
3. Tajh Boyd
Overview: We’ve got a franchise quarterback who is can win games on his talent and pure will. Matt Cassel offers a reliable veteran backup and Tajh Boyd is someone we can develop for a draft pick.Click to expand...
1. Vick Ballard
2. Darren McFadden
3. Storm Johnson
Fullback
1. Stanley Havili
Overview: Vick Ballard remains a reliable power back and will continue to get the majority of the snaps. We’re giving Darren McFadden a chance to prove he can still be a feature back, we know he still has home run abilities. Storm Johnson is a good all around back who can catch out of the backfield, he’ll be used as a third down back, but get the chance to start if either Ballard or McFadden get hurt or falter.Click to expand...
1. Coby Fleener
2. Dustin Keller
3. Ryan Taylor
4. Erik Swoope
Overview: Coby Fleener is out Gronkowski and Dustin Keller is brought in as our joker, or moveable piece. Ryan Taylor will be more of a traditional tight end and we’re hoping we can develop Erik Swoope into another Antonio Gates or Julius Thomas.Click to expand...

Overview: TY Hilton showed he can be a number one receiver and made Reggie Wayne expendable. We’re excited about our second round rookies as Jordan Matthews can develop into a number one and should be able to compliment TY Hilton. Both Matthews and Jarvis Landry have sure hands and will make tough catches.Click to expand...

9. Khaled Holmes
Overview: We’ve kept the line from last year but replaced Samson Satele with JD Walton who was a good starter in Denver before injuries. We brought in a veteran presence in Kevin Booth who can play all three interior line positions and give competition at the guard positions. Our rookies Cameron Fleming and Wesley Johnson have the same versatility and can play anywhere along the line, they’ve also started all or nearly all of their college games respectively.Click to expand...

4. Rick Jean-Fancois

8. Montori Hughes
Overview: We wanted big bodies who can be versatile and play both nose tackle or swing out to defensive end. We’ll put a lot of pressure on the offensive lineman and be tough to run against from size alone, but we don’t expect a lot of sacks from our 3-4 defensive line.Click to expand...

2. Kelvin Shepard, LILB
3. Jerrell Freeman , RILB
4. Robert Mathis, ROLB

7. Khairi Fortt
Overview: We’ve added some speed with Marcus Smith who went in the first round in the NFL he was very productive at Louisville and should be able to wreck havoc opposite Robert Mathis who is still going strong at his age. Inside we’ve got the same unit from last year but Khairi Fortt could easily come in and steal a starting job as a Butkus award semifinalist, you know he’s tough and can tackle.Click to expand...

1. Vontae Davis, RCB
2. LaDarius Webb, LCB
3. Darius Butler, Nickel
4. Greg Toler
5. Walt Aikens
Overview: A lot of size was added to the cornerback unit with a trade netting us LaDarius Webb, and by drafting Walt Aikens the Colts are able to increase their pressman coverage and give a lot of trouble to smaller receivers. Darius Butler has done a good job at nickel and will remain in that position.Click to expand...
1. Adam Vinatieri, K
2. Jeff Locke, P
Oviewview: Adam Vinatieri returns for another year, he didn’t look anywhere else because we knew we could bring him back cheap, and know he’ll remain the most consistent and reliable kicker in the NFL. Jeff Locke was brought in because we wanted some youth and didn’t want to get into a bidding war for Pat McAfee who averaged 46 yards per punt. Jeff Locke was able to average 44.2 yards in his rookie year.Click to expand...

Depth Chart
QB
Geno Smith is the starter. After retooling the offensive line and adding some weapons were willing to see what Geno can do. No excuses.
RB
We felt fine at RB 3 quality players who will all share time. Chris Ivory will start games. Signing Rhett Ellison was a huge get as his versatility is invaluable.
WR
Went out and signed Nicks and Brown both solid WR threats and added Odell Beckham Jr. The WR core has been upgraded in a major way.
OL
Really re-tooled the oline getting some solid players in Levitre, Warmack, and Bailey and drafting Mewhort, and Linder. Oline is one of the strongest in the league with D'Brickshaw, Levitre, Mangold, Warmack, Aboushi/Mewhort.
TE
Getting Dennis Pitta was pretty vital to upgrading the offense. Suffered an injury last season in a year he was going to break out. He showed how valuable he was with the Ravens and why Flacco struggled. A reliable safety blanket. Filling out the roster is Pre-season super star Zach Sudfeld who is a gifted athlete still needs to develop. Gragg who I liked coming out of Arkansas is going to be relied upon heavily.
DL
The major change was trading Mo Wilk and moving Coples back down to end. Coples looked like a budding star his rookie year playing the 5 T but he wont strictly be used on the line. With the added depth he will be moved around.
LB
With only Davis as the only LB starter kept from last year we needed to completely revamp the unit. Trading for Whitney Mercilus to play Strong Side, signing Worilds to play Inside, and drafting Attaochu to play weakside. Trading late round picks for former 1st round pick Nick Perry and back up ILB Brad Jones really solidify this unit.
DB
The strength of this team lies on the secondary. Signing Whitner was a huge move, the Jets need an identity and Whitner brings some much needed toughness. Antonio Allen rounds out the other safety spot. The corners might be the best in the league. Milliner, Claiborne, Wilson, Webster, Simon. Such a strong unit hard to find a better group around.
ST
Jets retained both P and K. KR duties will belong to OBJ and Kerley. Kerley will man the PR duties. -

I copied and pasted it after it was written, but it only saved the picture I included. But yes, good point. Do your write-ups in word! The problem was I didn't plan on doing an extensive write-up, but after I got started I got on a roll and kept adding in more and more detail. I'm sick to have lost it all. If I get ambitious between now and the 18th maybe I'll recreate it. By the way, this was the picture which does a pretty good job of capturing things:

2014 New York Giants
Off-Season Objective:
New GM “RPG” was brought in to clean up the mess that Jerry Reese has created for Big Blue without completely rolling over the roster as they believe they have the core group to make another run at the prized Lombardi trophy with Eli Manning under center.
The Giants took another step back in 2013 especially on the offensive side of the ball; the Offense was ranked 27th overall, 21st in Passing, 29th in Rushing, 18th in Run Block and a dismal 31st in Pass Block. The Defense was the lone bright spot last season ranking in the top 15 Overall, 10th vs Run, 12th Pass Coverage but was lacking in the Pass Rush ranking 27th. The focus of the off season was on rebuilding the offensive line, spreading out the offensive attack by improving the run game while adding targets for Eli, improving depth on the Defense especially in the secondary and Linebackers and improving their pass rush even with the loss of Justin Tuck.
Team Depth Chart
QB
Eli Manning $10,200,000 (33yrs, 6-4, 218 / 2004 1st (1)
Matt Flynn $850,000 (28yrs, 6-2,225 / 2008 7th (209)
QB Salary: $11,050,000
The Giants are staying the course with Eli Manning under center and will look to improve the pieces around him, they have brought in Matt Flynn as a reliable back up but with Eli’s proven durability (162 consecutive starts) a firm grip on the clipboard is in Flynn’s immediate future.
RB
Trent Richardson $2,252,708 (23yrs, 5-10,225 / 2012 1st (3)
Andre Brown $1,200,000 (27yrs, 6-0, 227 / 2009 4th (129)
David Wilson $1,823,046 (22yrs, 5-10, 205 / 2012 1st (32)
Jonathan Grimes $495,000 (24yrs, 5-10, 209 / 2012 – FA)
RB Salary: $5,770,754
A major focus for “RPG” this off season was to bring back a strong running game to big blue, taking pressure off the passing game and Eli Manning to always be the savior for the team. Former 1st round and 3rd overall pick Trent Richardson was acquired for a 3rd round draft pick and he will join Andre Brown, David Wilson and FA pick up Jonathan Grimes in the backfield. The running game now features “Size” with Richardson’s violent run game wearing the defense down and “Speed” with Brown and Wilson acting as change of pace backs with the ability to take a run to the end zone at any moment. Grimes was an effective starter in the last 2 games last year for Houston and will be used as depth and on special teams in New York.
FB
John Conner $740,000 (26yrs, 5-11, 246 / 2010 5th (139)
FB Salary: $740,000
The Giants brought back #4 ranked FB John Conner an excellent blocker to lead the way for Richardson and the rest of the running backs.
WR
Victor Cruz $7,424,000 (27yrs, 6-0, 204 / 2010 – FA)
Rueben Randle $897,799 (22yrs, 6-3, 208 / 2012 2nd (63)
Jerrel Jernigan $813,813 (24yrs, 5-9, 189 / 2011 3rd (83)
Shaquelle Evans $450,000 (23yrs, 6-1, 213 / 2014 4th (115)
Austin Collie $495,000 (28yrs, 6-0, 204 / 2009 4th (127)
WR Salary: $10,080,612
The Giants may have lost Hakkem Nicks to FA but they feel they have improved the position moving forward by creating depth, options and a new West Coast approach installed by new OC Dennison focusing on more quick hitting, timing routes rather than the read and react style of departed OC Kill-drive! Victor Cruz will still be the main focus in the passing game and the Giants look to use him more in the “Slot – Y” role while Rueben Randle who showed flashes last year that he is a capable of being a #2 WR in the NFL will line up outside in the “X” role, 7th round draft steal Shaquelle Evans looks to join the offense in 3 receiver sets as the “Z” receiver capable of stretching the field opening up the underneath and middle for Cruz and Randle. Jernigan will have to fight Evans for playing time but showed in the last 3 weeks last year (#2 fantasy WR) he is capable of being inserted inside or outside and making big plays. Journeyman Austin collie was brought in to provide veteran depth to the young group of receivers although not the player he once was Collie still know how to get open.
TE
Adrien Robinson $666,413 (25yrs, 6-4, 264 / 2012 4th (127)
Colt Lyerla $600,000 (21yrs, 6-4, 242 / 2014 UDFA)
Joel Dreessen $550,000 (31yrs, 6-4, 245 / 2005 6th (198)
Bear Pascoe $495,000 (28yrs, 6-5, 265 / 2009 6th (184)
TE Salary: $2,311,413
The Giants were looking to add a proven starter at the TE position but instead will lean on a group of youngsters lead by Adrien Robinson who is a size-speed freak at 6-4, 264 with 4.56 wheels and a mind-boggling 11-foot-3 broad jump, Colt Lyerla was drafted as a developmental receiving threat who brings speed, size and athleticism to the field, Bear Pascoe returns in his blocking role and Dreessen was brought in as depth but could also be the starter come week 1. Eli has a track record of getting the most out of his TE’s and the Giants look for this to be the case with Robinson who has the edge in getting the starting role.

Ted Larsen $495,000 (26yrs, 6-2, 305 / 2010 6th (205)
C Salary: $6,495,000
Offensive line was the #1 priority this offseason and the Giants feel they have addressed the issues and positioned the unit to be a dominant force this coming season, there will be 6 new faces along the O-Line with 7 departed players and the average age has been reduced from 28.1 to 26.8 with the biggest impact in the starters average age going down from 29.4 to 26.6.
Gone are often injured (C) David Baas, Old and Slow (T) David Diehl, aging (G) Kevin Boothe and ineffective bench warmers Stephen Goodin, Dallas Reynolds, Brandon Mosley and Jim Cordle. The Giants started the rebuild in the middle by signing new starters Evan Dietrich-Smith (PFF #8 Center) who was the 4th best C in pass protection last year, Travelle Wharton (PFF #5 Guard) was the next piece to the puzzle who brings excellent pass block and run blocking to the left side. The Giants added depth in FA by signing Ted Larsen (C/G), Jeff Baca (G) and swing tackle Charles Brown (OT) who will join returning back up James Brewer (T/G) and veteran leader Chris Snee (RG) who was brought back at a major discount ($11 Mil previous salary) to mold new RG Justin Pugh who moves over from RT. The Giants selected Jake Matthews with the 12th overall pick which allowed them to move Pugh inside and will look to start Matthews off at RT with Will Beatty looking for a bounce back year at LT with better assistance inside from Wharton and Smith. Matthews is the future at LT and it’s only a matter of time before Beatty moves to the right side!
DE
Jason-Pierre Paul $4,611,000 (25yrs, 6-5, 278 / 2010 1st (15)
William Hayes $4,200,000 28yrs, 6-3, 278 / 2008 4th (103)
Demontre Moore $658,813 (21yrs, 6-5, 250 / 2013 3rd (81)
Ropati Pitoitua $1,700,000 (29yrs, 6-8, 298 / 2008 – FA)
DE Salary: $11,169,813
Justin Tuck got paid $12 mil in FA, a number the Giants were not willing to pay for a declining player on the wrong side of 30.
JPP is back at his RE position and is reporting to be injury free for the first time in 2 years, down 15 lbs from last year JPP looks to regain his status as a top outside rusher. William Hayes was signed as a FA and will work with 2nd year pro Demontre Moore at the LE position with Ropati Pitoitua brought in as the 4th DE with a focus on stopping the run. Hayes may be moved inside on passing downs allowing the Giants to line up JPP, Moore and Hayes as pass rushers. Although they did not make a big splash at the DE position the team feels they have a sold group who can stop the run and also apply pressure on the QB in passing situations. They have also reduced the average age of this group from 27 to 25.7.
DT
Linval Joseph $9,438,000 (25yrs, 6-4, 323 / 2010 2nd (46)
Sen'Derrick Marks $4,225,000 (27yrs, 6-2, 294 / 2009 2nd (62)
Johnathan Hankins $916,068 (22yrs, 6-2, 320 / 2013 2nd (49)
Cullen Jenkins $3,266,666 (33yrs, 6-2, 305 / 2003 – FA)
DT Salary: $17,845,735
The Giants “Tagged” run stuffing DT Linval Joseph and acquired via trade with Jacksonville Sen'Derrick Marks (PFF #9 rushing DT) who will add a rush element from the inside thus giving them 2 solid starting DT’s. Adding depth to the position is veteran pass rusher Cullen Jenkins (PFF #19 rushing DT) and young improving DT Johnathan Hankins who can be a beast in the run game. The Giants have once again reduced the age of the unit from 27.5 to 26.5 and feel that they have a strong combination of run stoppers in Joseph and pass rushers in Marks and Jenkins.
MLB
Jon Beason $2,000,000 (29yrs, 6-0, 235 / 2007 1st (25)
Jasper Brinkley $495,000 (28yrs, 6-1, 252 / 2009 5th (150)
MLB Salary: $2,495,000
Jon Beason was brought back as the starting MLB, solid in the run game he proved to be the leader of the defense last year and will be counted on to play the same role in 2014, backing up Beason will be Brinkley who is a capable 2-down starter at MLB.
OLB
Phillip Wheeler $3,350,000 (29yrs, 6-2, 240 / 2008 3rd (93)
Spencer Paysinger $5,000,000 (25yrs, 6-2, 236 / 2011 – FA)
Jacquain Williams $1,408,670 (25yrs, 6-3, 224 / 2011 6th (202)
Kaluka Maiava $495,000 (27yrs, 6-0, 230 / 2009 4th (104)
OLB Salary: $10,253,670
The Giants targeted a new OLB in FA and found who they believe is the solution to their starting SLB needs in Phillip Wheeler formerly of the Dolphins, he will move from WLB to his more natural SLB role, a position that saw him graded as the (PFF #6 OLB) in 2012, strong in coverage and pass rush he will bring stability to the position. Spencer Paysinger (PFF #15 OLB) was brought back as the starting WLB and will be backed up by FA acquisition Kaluka Maiava who they will move from SLB back to WLB where he saw success in 2012 when with Cleveland where he graded out (PFF #7 OLB). Jacquain Williams will return as the #3 OLB and will back up Wheeler at SLB.
CB
Prince Amukamara $2,603,013 (24yrs, 6-0, 207 / 2011 1st (19)
Bashaud Breeland $900,000 22yrs, 6-0, 185 / 2014 4th (102)
Corey Graham $10,250,000 (28yrs, 6-0, 196 / 2007 5th (168)
Rashean Mathis $1,000,000 (33yrs, 6-1, 195 / 2003 2nd (39)
Will Blackmon $495, 000 (29yrs, 6-0, 198 / 2006 4th (115)
CB Salary: $15,248,113
The Giants saw a lot of turnover at the CB position as they retooled and created depth while infusing young talent to the group, gone are familiar faces in Corey Webster, Trumain McBride, Aaron Ross, Terrell Thomas, Jayron Hosley and Charles James.
Prince Amukamara (2011 1st rd) will become the #1 CB in the big apple moving from RCB to LCB, while 2nd round draft pick Bashaud Breeland looks to open the season at RCB with FA signing Corey Graham working in the slot, we expect Graham to move around also lining up at RCB especially early in the season as Breeland gets his feet under him. Rashean Mathis brings veteran leadership to the group and will serve as the #4 CB, the 31 year old was a top 30 CB last year and the #1 corner on the Lions, and Will Blackmon was added as depth to the unit and can also play safety.
The Giants had a top 15 secondary last year and the team looks to build on that moving forward, they have increased the size of the CB’s to all being over 6 feet and have kept the average age under 27. Overall the group has a lot more depth as their #4-5 are more than capable of starting in the NFL
FS
Will Hill $570,000 (24yrs, 6-1, 207 / 2012 – FA)

SS Salary: $9,745,000
Antrelle Rolle (PFF #10 safety) returns as the leader of the secondary and starting SS, strong in the box against the run and experience as the Nickel backer although he will not be asked to play that role with Graham joining the team. Quintin Demps was signed in FA as a back up to Rolle; Demps is a veteran who can play both safety positions and will be used in the kick return game.

Total Roster Salary: $128,504,927
Salary Cap: $130,000,000
Over/Under: $1,495,073
Off-Season Overview:
The Giants management took on the task of tweaking the existing roster to once again become dominant in the NFC East. They were aggressive in FA landing 19 new players to the roster including 5 starters, some big name acquisitions such as Evan Dietrich-Smith, Travelle Wharton, Cory Graham and William Hayes will be immediate impact players.
The focus on offense was to rebuild the offensive line who ranked 29th in the league last year after being ranked 11th the year before. Eli should now have the time and feel comfortable behind the veteran line, in addition the team improved the run game by adding Trent Richardson to the mix, once again the Giants will boast a 3 headed running attack lead by Richardson and Andre Brown with David Wilson still in the mix as a change of pace back, this should also remove the pressure from im to be the lead back and allow him to develop his game moving forward to one day be the go to RB for the GMEN. Shaquelle Evans taken in the 7th round looks to help replace some of the production lost by the absence of Hakkem Nicks. The team also addressed its reserve roles and feels they have added depth at several positions to create competition and have a viable replacement should the injury bug it the team again.
On Defense the team rebuilt the secondary by drafting Bashaud Breeland in the 2nd round, landing Graham, Mathis and Blackmon in FA along with Safeties Wilson and Demps who will also look to improve the return game along with David Wilson. 3 new LB’s were added with Phillip Wheeler being the only starter; the team did add depth to the other LB positions which was a concern last year. The big decision this offseason on defense came along the D-Line, the team said goodbye to Justin Tuck and placed the Franchise Tag on Linval Joseph. Although they did not land the pass rusher they were hoping, William Hayes was brought in to replace the departed Tuck and will have in-house competition from 2nd year pro Demontre Moore, the Giants feel they have solidified the line from the inside out, we are “ecstatic” with our DT and feel this is the strength of the team and will once again the GMEN looks like they will be tough to run against. -

Position Depth Chart/Analysis
QB - Peyton Manning | Matthew McGloin | Brock Jensen
Quite possibly the biggest addition to the 2014 Oakland Raiders was none other than the 2013 NFL Most Valuable Player, Peyton Manning. While we realize that Manning just turned 38 years old, it is safe that say that he has at least two to three more seasons left in him if his health allows it. This was a huge gamble on our part but the possibility to add arguably the greatest quarterback of all time for even two seasons was too much to pass up. Adding Manning to the roster strengthened the 2014 Oakland Raiders and weakened a division foe as well. The Raiders should be able to easily make their way into the playoffs when comparing their roster to the AFC West. Matthew McGloin showed a lot of potential in 2013 so he makes an excellent back-up quarterback to Manning. While we don't know what to expect out of Brock Jensen in the NFL, we know that he was a proven winner at North Dakota State and should be a good quarterback to slowly groom.Click to expand...
FB - Marcel Reece
The running back position was overhauled as well with the addition of Fred Jackson, Jonathan Stewart, and Ahmad Bradshaw. While all three have their fair share of injury concerns, we felt that in a committee approach with Jackson leading the pack, they should suffice in 2014. Fred Jackson is a back that is able to do it all: run, catch, and block. We expect him to be utilized the same way that Knowshon Moreno was utilized in Denver with Peyton Manning. Jonathan Stewart was a bit of a health risk but knowing what he is capable of was too hard to pass up. Ahmad Bradshaw will likely look to steal snaps away from Stewart as he really showed promise in 2013 before going down with an injury. Latavius Murray returns to the team as the 6th round pick in 2013 out of Central Florida will look to make his name stick over the veteran trio. Marcel Reece is an interesting player with the unique skill set that he offers. Peyton Manning should be able to get the most out of Reece's abilities in two back sets.Click to expand...
ZR - Rod Streater | Damian Williams
YR - Randall Cobb
The Raiders will likely run out of a shotgun more times than not and they'll need receivers on the outside and on the inside that can make an impact. Andre Holmes and Rod Streater showed a lot of promise in 2013 with inconsistent quarterback play in Oakland. We feel that they are certainly able to excel in a system with Manning calling the shots. Randall Cobb was acquired to be the ultimate playmaker in the slot for Manning. It is well known that Manning loves his slot receivers who can run crisp routes and make plays after the catch and Cobb does just that. Nate Burleson and Damian Williams were added to the roster as well for veteran leadership and special teams play.Click to expand...
We went into free agency with one major target in mind: Jimmy Graham. We got him! Many questioned the move because they have said Manning doesn't need an elite tight end but the fact of the matter is, he hasn't had a tight end near the talent of Graham on his roster. With Jimmy Graham in the fold, it completely changes the offense with Peyton Manning calling the shots. We feel that we added two players that are the best at their respective position in Manning and Graham and that alone will sell tickets and put wins on the board. Mychal Rivera returns to the team as he looks to improve on his 2013 campaign. Rivera showed a lot of promise and we expect big things out of him. Nick Kasa is back with the team as well and Rob Blanchflower was a late round pick who will hopefully provide some impact on special teams.Click to expand...
LG - Wade Smith | Tony Bergstrom
OC - Stefan Wisniewski
RG - Garrett Reynolds | Jack Cornell
RT - Morgan Moses | Charles Leno
The offensive line was a bit of a question mark in Oakland and we felt bringing back left tackle Jared Veldheer was a huge priority because keeping Manning safe should be our number one goal. Morgan Moses was drafted in the second round to round out the tackle position and anyone who plays on the offensive line with Peyton Manning will have an easier life. We feel that Moses will be able to successfully handle the role of a starting right tackle in the NFL. Wade Smith and Garrett Reynolds were added to the team to serve as the starting guards. While Wade Smith may not be the youngest, he can still play effectively. Garrett Reynolds was the scapegoat for Peter Konz' poor play in Atlanta, which is a shame because Reynolds had a solid season as the right guard there while Konz was one of the worst linemen in football in 2013. Stefan Wisniewski returns to the team as the starting center. Wisniewski is one of the top young centers in the NFL and we expect him to thrive snapping the football to Manning. Matt McCants, Tony Bergstrom, and Jack Cornell return to the team to offer depth on the offensive line while Charles Leno was drafted in the late rounds to round out the position.Click to expand...
NT - Pat Sims | Stacy McGee
LE - Vance Walker | Corey Peters
With the switch to a 3-4 defense, the Oakland Raiders needed to go a different direction on the defensive line. The team brought back Pat Sims to anchor the defensive line at nose tackle and signed Antonio Smith to man the right defensive end position. Smith will offer an incredible amount of veteran leadership and should be able to really help the team thrive in the new system. Vance Walker was re-signed to be the team's left defensive end and we feel that he has the capabilities to make the transition as a 3-4 defensive end. Corey Peters was also signed to a contract after a strong year in Atlanta. Jack Crawford and Stacy McGee return to the roster to provide some depth on the line.Click to expand...
RILB - Kevin Burnett | Nick Roach
LILB - Bruce Carter | Arthur Moats
LOLB - Anthony Spencer | Shaun Phillips
There were a lot of moving pieces on defense and the biggest thing that Oakland looked to do was acquire pass rushers. They did just that with Jabaal Sheard and Anthony Spencer as their starting outside linebackers. Jabaal Sheard should be able to thrive in the 3-4 defense at outside linebacker where he will be focused on rushing the passer. Anthony Spencer will move back to outside linebacker where he had his best years at, instead of playing defensive end in the 4-3 scheme that Dallas ran in 2013. Shaun Phillips was added to the roster for depth purposes and Sio Moore rounds out the outside linebackers. Moore will look to be a pass rush specialist and could possibly play inside linebacker at times to confuse offensive lines with his pass rushing abilities. Kevin Burnett will likely be the leader in the middle as the team's right inside linebacker. Bruce Carter will also be coming to Oakland to play left inside linebacker, which is also where he excelled at in Dallas when they implemented the 3-4 defense. Arthur Moats was added to the roster as added insurance and for a boost in run defense. Nick Roach returns to the team as well to provide some pass coverage skills.Click to expand...
CB - Mike Jenkins | Jamar Taylor | Taiwan Jones
FS - Ryan Clark | Jonathan Dowling
SS - Tyvon Branch | Brandian Ross
Fielding a competitive secondary was tough to do knowing what Oakland started with and our budget restrictions considering what our primary goals were with the likes of the revamped offense. Drayton Florence had a strong season in Carolina in 2013 and should be able to do the same for Oakland in 2014. Mike Jenkins had an inconsistent season last year but we feel that Jamar Taylor, a 2nd round pick in 2013, should be able to push him for the starting cornerback role next to Florence. Robert McClain is likely the team's nickel back where he played well above average in Atlanta last season. Jemea Thomas and Taiwan Jones round out the cornerbacks providing some depth and youth. Ryan Clark was signed to a contract to serve as the team's starting free safety. We know that Clark is getting up there in age but the fact remains he is still a solid starter at free safety and can provide plenty of veteran leadership. Tyvon Branch returns to the team in 2014 looking to return his 2012 form at strong safety. Jonathan Dowling and Brandian Ross will look to round out the safety position as well.Click to expand...

Final Thoughts
The 2014 Oakland Raiders went from a bottom five NFL franchise to a Super Bowl contender overnight after the acquisition of Peyton Manning. We felt that we did the most with what we could do considering the fact that Oakland didn't exactly start off with the best pieces and that the trading period had really cooled down to the point where people were content and ready for free agency to start by the time I acquired the team. We looked to make a few big splashes on offense while fielding a competitive defense that possesses a strong front seven to rush the passer and stop the run. Overall it's safe to say that the Oakland Raiders are tremendously better than they were when we started with them and that is always the goal.

Ted Thompson lost his mind and gutted the whole team. But, i think in the end what we got is a product than can really put up results. Our WR group can certainly make the argument for being one the best if not the best in the league. Our OLine is fantastic and durable and our C is one of the best in the league. Our RB's can not only run but they can be weapons catching the ball also. We drafted a very underrated pass catching TE who will only add to the weapons we have on offense as well as be able to help with pass pro and run blocking. Our one glaring mistake was losing Aaron Rodgers, but Matthew Stafford can certainly sling the pigskin and hopes to improve the mental part of his game.
We've improved our weakness at DE with a few trades and through the draft as well as added quite a bit of beef to clog up the middle. Our linebacker core may have lost a star, but it got back a Starr in the draft and quite a but of athleticism and speed from sideline to sideline. Our DBs are both big and fast and are all extremely versatile.
Arguably we've gotten better at almost every position and look forward to bringing home another Super Bowl to Titletown, USA. -

First let me say a big thank you to everyone that participated this year. I had fun, for the most part, and that's all that mattered in my role as commissioner. Learned a few things along the way and I hope you had as much fun as I did. I hope to see you all back again next year.
2014 Buffalo Bills
On Feb. 26th, I took over as GM of the Bills more than three weeks into the league year. So, I wasn't involved in the first couple of weeks of trades, where the frenzy was at its highest.
My objectives were as follows:
- Turnover the running backs by saving cap, and improving depth
- Add competition to the quarterback position
- Add a big time playmaker at wide receiver
- add to the tight end group and create competition
- Improve the offensive line
- Defensively, KEEP THE CORE IN TACT!
I did trade Mario Williams and his $18.5m salary for Vasquez and essentially the pieces used to move up and take Watkins in the draft. I didn’t feel that Mario was the flexible player we needed him to be along the defensive front seven. I wanted to add pieces to the defense that would enable our defensive coordinator to choose from several fronts. I feel it’s important in this day and age to keep the offense guessing as far as where guys are going to lineup and where the pressure is going to come from. To not have to blitz on every down to pressure the quarterback.
- Look for opportunities to add additional playmakers, particularly in the front 7.
Here’s the depth chart:

The 2014 Cleveland Browns
The Offseason Plan of Attack:
Coaching - The Browns have been a losing franchise for a long time now. When taking this team over, the goal was not only to bring great players to this team, but it was also to bring a different culture. The first thing we needed to do with that in mind was to hire a coach who would bring some fresh ideas and a winning attitude, and the guy who we decided to go hard after was Gus Malzahn. We felt Malzahn is one of the brightest minds in all of football and is a guy that has won on every level he's coached at. We truly feel he is a star NFL head coach in the making. With Malzahn on board, and an plan for quarterback in the back of my head that I'll get into later, we looked at a bright young coach that we feel could work under Malzahn to become a good offensive coordinator in Ken Dorsey. Malzahn will call the plays, but Dorsey is coming off of a great job as QB coach in Carolina. For defensive coordinator, we went to the best defensive unit in the NFL and took Legion of Boom, DB coach Kris Richard. His resume speaks for itself obviously and we think he's another guy with a very bright future.
Trades - After locking our coaching staff up, it was time to be aggressive in the trade market in order to bring in big time talent and winners to this roster. The most important position on any team is quarterback, so that was where we were most aggressive. With Malzahn heading things up we badly wanted to pair him with Cam Newton, and from day 1 made that our priority. We made some other big trades and even had to trade for RGIII just to give Carolina a good QB in return to get Newton. While in discussions with Carolina we took a shot at adding not only their best player on offense (Newton), but their best player on defense as well in Luke Kuechly, who we feel is the best LB in the NFL. We had to give to get, but we felt this was a franchise changing move and pulled the trigger on the pair. Throughout the trade period we brought in elite talents like Newton, Kuechly, Arian Foster, Micheal Crabtree, Mike Wallace, Brian Cushing, and Clay Matthews while retaining our two best free agents Alex Mack and TJ Ward.
Free Agency - We felt like we filled the majority of our holes in trades, but needed to make some important 'smaller' moves in free agency to round out our roster. Our biggest signing was CB Jonthan Banks, a second year corner that was released by Tampa so they could chase one of the big free agents. Banks was a 2nd round pick in 2013 and had a nice rookie year. We also added starting safety Rafael Bush, starting nose tackle Cam Thomas, and starting guard Jeremy Zuttah along with some other role player types.
The Draft - Going into the draft we had no remaining holes and felt we could go best player available at every pick. There were areas we wanted to upgrade, but we weren't going to have to sacrifice value to do that. We were without a 2nd round pick initially, but moved back in the 1st and picked one up while still being able to get the guy we would have felt lucky to grab at our original pick. We felt we got good value on all of our players, but we were especially happy with the Zack Martin, Gabe Jackson, and Devonta Freeman picks because we felt the value was excellent and they will all contribute right away.
Summary - Overall we really feel like we executed our plan even better than we had hoped for. We knew we had money and picks to play with, but we feel like we took a bad team and turned them into a team that can compete for a Super Bowl right away and will be good for a long time. I honestly feel I inherited this team as one of the least talented in the NFL, and go into training camp as probably the most talented in the NFL.

Offensive Breakdown - In 2013, the Browns were a one-man show relying on Josh Gordon for almost all of their offensive production. I'd be lying if I said I knew he was about to be suspended and that's why I took that king's ransom for him in a trade. I did realize a future suspension was a possibility with Gordon, but I still valued him very highly and took that deal to make the Browns a better all-around team. In the end, on top of all of the picks, I got the better WR as Michael Crabtree will be our go to guy at WR this year. I feel his game fits very well opposite Mike Wallace, and Jordan Cameron will continue to threaten the seam. Arian Foster will finally be the stud HB they've been looking for in Cleveland and we fully expect him to bounce back after an injury plagued year last year to regain his place atop the list of backs in the NFL. Obviously the most important name on that list is Cam Newton. We gave up a high draft pick just to get a QB who was good enough to send to Carolina to get him along with quite a few other pieces, but we feel it is well worth it. We think he's the type of quarterback the NFL has never seen before and he's coming off of his best year as a pro. We feel that getting him back together with the college coach that made him what he was at Auburn, in Gus Malzahn, is going to take him to the level of being one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, if not the best. We are also very happy with the two offensive skill players we drafted in Adams and Freeman and expect them both to play an important role on our offense. The line will be led by veterans Joe Thomas and Alex Mack, but we love the new additions we brought in in Martin, Jackson, and Zuttah and feel this will be one of the best lines in the NFL.

Defensive Breakdown: Let's start off with the linebackers who are probably the most impressive unit in the NFL. I already mentioned that we feel Kuechly is the best linebacker in the NFL, but we don't think Cushing or Matthews are that far behind. Cushing and Matthews will be reunited from their USC days where they wreaked havoc on the NCAA. They will both make it a long day for opposing quarterbacks. Graham is the only player in the group who isn't a star, but he is a very solid player that will have a much easier time playing with those guys next to him. The defensive line is a blue collar group that isn't made up of big names, but will flat out get it done. We feel our secondary is another strength as Haden is one of the best corners in the NFL and Ward is one of the best safeties. Banks will team up with Haden to form a young, physical duo and Buster Skrine has shown some promise and will be our slot corner. Rafael Bush is a guy who performed when he was given the chance in New Orleans and we expect him to get even better. Jordan Poyer is a guy I liked a lot coming out of college last year and is someone who we feel can play both safety and corner for us.

Positional Analysis:
Quarterback
Sam Bradford
Matt Moore
Garrett Gilbert
One of the first tasks as the GM of the Ravens was to deal with Flacco's high cap number to help bring in more talent to help the team. Flacco was traded away because even half of his salary did not match the quality of play that he showed last season. We brought in Sam Bradford instead who was on his way to a great season last year before his injury. If he stays healthy, he could easily be a top 10 QB in the league. We brought in Matt Moore at a very discounted price to play the role of backup QB and be ready to step in when needed.Click to expand...
Ray Rice
Maurice Jones Drew
James Stark
Jonas Gray
Kyle Juzczysk
Despite the off the field issues and his struggles last year, Ray Rice was retained. We believe that this year he will be able to bounce back and have a stronger impact. What will help perform better is splitting carries with FA Maurice Jones Drew. The 1-2 punch between these two will wear out the defense while still having both compete for more carries. Having this duo in the backfield allows for flexibility in different packages. James Stark was brought in for depth at the position while Jonas Gray is being brought in as a developmental player who could have a good future in the NFL. Leach was cut and Juzczysk was kept due to his flashes during his rookie year last year.Click to expand...
Justin Hunter
Jacoby Jones
Jermaine Kearse
Mike Davis
Deonte Thompson
Gerrad Sheppard
One of the positions that seem to have a glaring hole is the WR position. While it does not seem to have a game-changing receiver, it has potential to be one of the greatest tandems in the NFL in a few years. Justin Hunter is a young WR with a ton of success last season on the Titans and Jermaine Kearse is an up and coming young receiver with a ton of potential to be great after finishing his first season in the NFL. Jacoby Jones was brought back for the league minimum at a fraction of the price he had before.Click to expand...
Dwayne Allen
Zach Miller
Nathan Overbay
One of the issues for the Ravens last season offensively was not having weapons at the TE position after losing Pitta to a season ending injury before week 1. We upgraded this position vastly by adding third year TE Dwayne Allen who has had great success in Indianapolis and TE Zach Miller who has been a very helpful target for Russell Wilson. These weapons will be used effectively with Kubiak at OC.Click to expand...
Eugene Monroe T
DJ Fluker T
Ricky Wagner T
Tyson Clabo T
Marshal Yanda G
David Decastro G
Jah Reid G
Max Unger C
The biggest contribution to the lack of offense for the Ravens last season was poor play by the offensive line. While there were some very high quality starters like Monroe and Yanda, there were some glaring holes at LG and C. We upgraded the unit as a whole by making moves to bring in Pro Bowl C Max Unger, and two great and young players who will have magnificent careers, David Decastro and DJ Fluker. Eugene Monroe was also brought back after a successful season last year at LT. The unit individually now has zero holes and the only issue that could prevent it from being the best unit in the NFL this season is if the do not mesh and communicate well.Click to expand...
Chris Canty
Kendall Langford
Kapron Lewis-Moore
Robert Geathers
Joe Kruger
Brandon Mebane
Brandon Williams
Bruce Gaston
Cody Larsen
When looking at this unit the first interesting player in the "players lost" department is Haloti Ngata. He has been dominant at NT throughout his career in Baltimore. The issue was his high cap number, so we traded him away and were able to bring in Brandon Mebane at a much cheaper price with an upgrade at talent. Chris Canty was kept around for his ability to stop the run and Langford was brought in as an upgrade over FA Arthur Jones.Click to expand...
Demeco Ryans
Daryl Smith
Courtney Upshaw
Jackson Jeffcoat
Pernell McPhee
Preston Brown
John Simon
Lementee Mccray
One main reason for the lack of play by the defense of the Ravens last year was the lackluster play by the ILBs. Dumervil and Suggs were both lost but the cap for their position was used more towards other positions while we got younger at OLB with Upshaw being retained and Jackson Jeffcoat being drafted as a pure pass rusher. Demeco Ryans was brought in to help boost the talent at LB and Daryl Smith was kept around for his ability to stop the run and help cover the middle of the field. The linebacker should be a solid unit with a lot of potential for the future.Click to expand...
Byron Maxwell CB
Darius Slay CB
Brandon Boykin CB
Curtis Brown CB
Asante Samuel CB
Michael Griffin S
Matt Elam S
Brock Vereen S
Omar Brown S
Other than Matt Elam, this is a unit that was rebuilt at every position. Michael Griffin was brought in to replace the sub-par Ihedigbo at the SS position. The CB position was upgraded vastly by bringing in Brandon Boykin, who was one of the top press CBs last season, and Byron Maxwell, who lived under the shadow of Richard Sherman but was equally as dominant. Darius Slay and Asante Samuel were brought in for depth and the Nickel CB position to help completely boost a position that lacked a lot of talent last yearClick to expand...

Abstract: The goal for the Bengals was simple, make them a Super Bowl contender. Boasting a roster loaded with talent already, I thought the best strategy would be to try and add to the core of the roster, while getting rid of some under-performing starters, most notably QB Andy Dalton and RT Andre Smith. With the basis of a top 8 defense of the league intact, my primary goals became to 1) Get a legitimate Super Bowl caliber quarterback; 2) build a better secondary as the Bengals were ravaged by injury in 2013, and 3) add more quality depth.
Quarterback
Joe Flacco - $14,800,000
Matt Barkley - $644,257
Jordan Lynch - $450,000 (Also designated as "Athlete")
Summary - I really wanted to get rid of Andy Dalton - most everyone in Cincinnati except Marvin Lewis does to - and I had the opportunity to acquire Joe Flacco. While some may scoff, he's got a huge arm and a lot of offensive firepower to distribute the ball to. If he can play "decent" football, he'll take the Bengals places. I acquired Matt Barkley as a talented, up-and-coming backup prospect, and drafted Jordan Lynch as a luxury pick in the 7th round. He'll also be able to play some WR, RB, and on special teams. In short, Flacco's ability to connect downfield with A.J. Green could carry this team.
Running Back
Giovani Bernard - $1,193,941
Robert Turbin - $495,000
Andre Williams - $600,000
J.C. Copeland - $500,000 (Fullback)
Summary - Giovani Bernard proved to be worth the high pick the Bengals spent on him in 2013. I wanted to add a better big back - as the Bengals ultimately ended up doing in real life - to replace BenJarvus Green-Ellis who was bad in 2013 and developed fumble problems for the first time in his career. Robert Turbin was a cheap signing and Andre Williams was taken in the 4th round, darn near where he actually went. Those two big backs will team up to be the "thunder" to Bernard's "lightning". J.C. Copeland was drafted as a blocker, short yardage specialist, and to possible kill you (check his interview in the GML Draft Thread). I feel like this group gives you a bit of everything and complements the passing portion of the offense.
Wide Receiver
A.J. Green - $6,264,394
Mohamed Sanu - $730,813
Andrew Hawkins - $1,390,000 - RFA Tender (Re-signed)
Marvin Jones - $610,700
Devin Street - $600,000
Cobi Hamilton - $420,000
Summary - A.J. Green is a top 5 talent at WR in the league now. Mohamed Sanu, Marvin Jones, and Andrew Hawkins have all proven their worth in the Bengals roster, so I really didn't tinker with things. I added Devin Street as a developmental receiver to the group and kept Cobi Hamilton around for his speed and the ability to challenge Chris Davis as a kick returner. This unit should help propel Joe Flacco and help him live up to his giant contract. I mean, really, how can throwing to A.J. Green, Bernard, and the rest of these guys not help? They've made Dalton into what he his and not the other way around.
Tight End
Tyler Eifert - $1,876,364
Delanie Walker - $4,000,000
Daniel Fells - $500,000
Orson Charles - $677,325
Summary - Tyler Eifert is my number one as Jermaine Gresham netted me some bonus draft picks. I acquired Delanie Walker as an H-Back/second TE who can move. He's been pretty effective in the past with the 49ers when he teamed with Vernon Davis. Daniel Fells is a solid number three and I kept Orson Charles as a backup fullback and special teamer. I think this unit is very solid and Eifert has the potential to take it to a new level with Flacco's ability to stretch the middle of the field.
Offensive Line
Anthony Collins - $11,400,000 - Franchise Tag
Clint Boling -$1,509,362
Kyle Cook - $3,340,000
Kevin Zeitler - $2,057,509
Ja'Wuan James - $900,000
Michael Bamiro -$495,000
Bruce Campbell -$495,000
Trevor Robinson - $572,000
Summary - I lopped two bloated, underwhelming players off the roster in Andrew Whitworth and Andre Smith, which forced my hand with tackles to some degree. I franchised Anthony Collins as I knew he was going to be bid on highly in free agency if he got there. I drafted Ja'Wuan James with the 60th overall pick (sorry, Dennis Hickey, I win) to solidify right tackle. I kept the interior trio of Clint Boling, Kyle Cook, and Kevin Zietler in place. Trevor Robins is the backup center and he's actually shown well in real life when he's been pressed into duty. He can also play guard. Bruce Campbell was acquired cheaply as a left tackle and guard depth player. Michael Bamiro is a massive, developmental right tackle prospect. This line is able to help win now, and win later.
Defensive Line
Geno Atkins - $4,500,000 - Salary Restructured
Domata Peko - 4,165,000
Carlos Dunlap - $8,600,000
Cliff Avril - $12,000,000
Antwan Barnes - $2,000,000
Margus Hunt - $834,341
Brandon Thompson - $705,300
Khyri Thornton - $450,000
Devon Still - $1,027,746
Summary - Restructuring Geno Atkins' contract wasn't fair, but he was the highest paid player on the roster going into the GML. As the best 3-technique in the league he should help generate pass-rush up the middle while Domata Peko is a run-stuffer. After losing the overrated Michael Johnson to a ridiculous bid in free agency, I acquired BOTH Cliff Avril and Antwan Barnes for less than Johnson went for. Avril will step in as the starter at RDE opposite Carlos Dunlap while Antwan Barnes and Margus Hunt provide great depth and special teams abilities. Brandon Thompson is Peko's backup and I was able to draft Khyri Thronton in the 7th round (he actually went in the 3rd, so I got a heck of a steal) to challenge Devon Still has Atkins' primary backup. The core of this line remains intact and Cliff Avril should add even more pass-rush than Michael Johnson ever did. Barnes is our new Wallace Gilberry 3rd DE and Margus Hunt is still coming on.
Linebacker
K.J. Wright - $1,510,500
Vontaze Burfict - $570,334
Bruce Irvin - $2,747,872
Jayson DiManche - $500,000
Sean Porter - $602,325
Emmanuel Lemur - $495,000
Summary - The Bengals lost James Harrison in the GML and in real life and have the vastly overrated and always disappointing Rey Maualuga at MLB. I wanted to change that so Todd and I worked a deal (far prior to me BK'ing him twice in the draft) and he sent me K.J. Wright to play at WLB allowing me to move Vontaze Burfict to the middle where he's eventually going to end up in the real world. He's now free to roam sideline-to-sideline and rage around. Bruce Irvin was later acquired, also from Todd, to replace the departed James Harrison as a pass-rushing SAM LB. With his size and Burfict's abilities, I don't think the Bengals lose much, if anything in run defense, and K.J. Wright is no slouch coming from Seattle originally as a SAM LB himself. Sean Porter is a pass-rushing backup LB with speed who can contribute on special teams. Emmanuel Lemur may win the Bengals SAM LB job in real life, so I feel like having him as depth is gravy here - plus, he's dating a friend of mine and I'd feel bad if I traded him in the GML. Jayson DiManche was a regular on special temas last year and that's where he'll stay for now. After revamping this unit, I'll match the Bengals' front 7 against anyone's in the GML.
Defensive Back
Kyle Fuller - $2,300,000
Leon Hall - $8,700,000
Dre Kirkpatrick - $2,351,726
Brice McCain - $500,000
Sterling Moore - $495,000
Reggie Nelson - $4,475,000
George Iloka - $610,075
Kenny Ladler - $500,000
Shawn Williams - $653,986
Summary - I wanted to go younger in the secondary so I axed Terrence Newman and Pacman Jones. I added some cheap depth in Brice McCain and Sterling Moore, and I knew I had one decent depth safety in Shawn Williams, so I moved to the Draft for more depth here after losing out on Malcolm Jenkins and Dashon Goldson in free agency. I BK'd Todd with the Kyle Fuller pick. He'll start opposite Hall, or Kirkpatrick if Hall isn't recovered from his Achilles' injury. Fuller can also move and play in the slot if necessary as a nickel. McCain can as well and is a special teams player. Moore is a perimeter backup who has a penchant for making some interesting plays (you'll recall the AFC Championship Game 2 years ago). Reggie Nelson has been a fine safety and George Iloka was coming on strong last year so I kept both of them. Kenny Ladler was a late-round pick for depth at free safety and Williams, as mentioned, was already on the roster. Chris Davis, the CB from Auburn, of "Kick 6" fame is also a developmental player and will be the teams starting kick/punt returner.
Specialists
Graham Gano - $650,000 - Kicker
Pat McAfee - $495,000 - Punter
Clark Harris - $760,000 - Long Snapper
Chris Davis - $550,000 - Kick Returner
Summary - Clark Harris was the only specialist I kept as he's a good long-snapper and was cheap. Mike "Ted" Nugent and Kevin "Broken Face" Huber were not; they're no longer employed. Graham Gano and Pat McAfee were acquired for very cheap given their talents, and in McAfee's case, off-field social presence which is something the city of Cincinnati needs more of. Chris Davis was drafted as CB depth, but he'll be a starting kick and punt returner so I listed him here primarily.
Total Salary - $120,310,870
Cap Space Remaining - $9,689,130
Summary - With a bevy of talent and only 3 really high-priced contracts being added - Flacco, Collins (franchise tag), and Avril, I was able to save close to $10M for in-season acquisitions if needed, otherwise I can roll it over next year to provide extra funds to re-sign A.J. Green. The overall talent on the Bengals was already there, and I feel I've added adequately to it. My offseason acquisitions in trades, free agency, and the Draft are listed below. Under that is my depth chart and starting lineup.
