Ok, I told people about the Sony card before where if you spend $299 (on a single purchase) in the first 90 days you get $100 credit back to your account and 12 months of 0% interest (after your initial $299+ purchase don't use it though as any purchases thereafter won't be 0% interest).

Well apparently, Wal-mart (and walmart.com) is running a special right now where with the purchase of any ps3 you get a $100 gift card along with it (as they have this special on all blu-ray players right now). Supposedly it counts for the MGS bundle too but don't count me as 100% on that.
Anyways, Best Buy caught wind of this sale, and now they will apparently "price match" the gift card as well. So you can get this PS3 deal at both retailers if you have the Sony card. And if you don't have the sony card you'll get a $100 GC which is still a pretty good deal.
That's it, I just thought some of my fins brothers who have been holding off on a PS3 might be interested in this sort of deal.

It should be noted, that on that $299+ purchase you can buy anything up to your credit limit. You could even get a 360 and a PS3. When I used mine, I got a ps3, 3 games, and $300 in GC that I ended up using on a wii and some games.

it's currently sold out on walmart online and BB still doesn't have it advertised with the GC just yet.

how long before you got accepted? If I can put it off and get the mgs bundle for 100 bucks less and get 100 bucks wal-mart credit, I want to wait. But if I can't get the card in time, I have to get the 40gb version. 400 is enough, nvm 500.

OK one more thing... I'm so pissed I didn't see this sooner and apply already. Anyway, do I need to use this card at an approved sony dealership, or will ant walmart/best buy do?

I got approved online right when I finished the app. Wonder why it didn't do the same for everyone.

You can use it anywhere, just the reward points aren't as high. I have heard of plenty of people using them at all sorts of different places. As I said, I used mine to buy a used PS3 (80gb) and still got the $100 credit to my account.
I'm pretty sure Bruzer got his at somewhere like BB or WM.
