So I noticed the 75 gallon water heater at my house has a leak. It's about 14 years old I believe. It still has the rigid pipes so will likely need a new one. Can anyone make a recommendation on brands, etc?

I don't know, but after witnessing this first hand, please don't go to home depot and attempt to put said water heater in the trunk of a 1994 Ford Thunderbird.

Brother, Lowe's or Home Depot will probably have GE or something similar. They will have what the call the good, better, and best models. They will start from low in warranty and life expectancy, and go up from there. The price will go a up as well, but you need to take into consideration as how long you might be there, and your budget and go from there.What you need to do every year is hook up a garden hose to it to help flush out the sentiment that builds up, so you can max out the life of the water heater.:wink2:

Thanks bro. From what I've seen out of HD, Lowes, Only Bosch, Rheem, and Noritz are available there. Any recommendations on a gas model for a 2 story house w/ 3 bathrooms (i.e. flow rate)? Reason I'd have to go gas is because the electricity in this neighborhood is a lot more expensive than gas thanks to Edison. I'd hope to find one with a pretty good warranty too.

If you can go gas, always go gas. As fir specs, you would have to look that up on a model to model basis.
