Reshad Jones has been playing pretty well. I don't understand why so many people wrote him off, he was making plays pretty early on in his career before he was even fundamentally sound.

I don't understand either why half the fan base ignorantly expects players to be at their pinnacle during their rookie or 2nd season in the league either, especially if that player came out after his junior year.

He's improving, but I still think he has issues with awareness, taking the proper angle, and locating the ball in the air. For example, there was one play against Oakland where he would have had another pick had he been aware of the ball, but he came up hard to go for the big hit instead. The ball went to the position he was previously occupying.

This is not just an issue with him though. It is an issue with the secondary as a whole. No one in this secondary plays the ball well at all. It's been a long time since the team had a ball hawk safety, but I guess I was spoiled by seeing the trio of Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain, and Terrell Buckley in their prime at cornerback.
