Some of you gear heads probably already know about this. I thought I would give it a try in my wife's 2001 Ford Expedition with 82,000 miles on it. I will let you know what I think. It is not cheap at 7.29 a qt. There a lot of benefits to using it. My dad sent me some info on them, as he is an ex-drag racer, and stays up on the latest on cars. So I thought I would pass this along.
Royal Purple Consumer Products
I used to use Mobil 1 Synthetic oil. It is like a 1.50 a qt cheaper. You can go longer with the Royal Purple as well. Just have to drop the oil, and change the oil filter, and put the oil back in if you like. I go with the K&N oil filter as well.

How often do you change the oil Brother John?
I know it is REDICULOUS to try to get rid of oil you have changed yourself here in the Desert. Used to be Pep-boys would help, but they are now declining to do so.Fin Fan In Cali likes this. -

Dont have Kragen's here, Auto Zone is right down the street, and they have never accepted Oil (this particular one that is).
I think it is a regional thing and the water-shed here is really bad (SHouldnt matter but I think it does).
I will look into this more. Thanks for the insight brother. Hope all is good with you :ffic:Fin Fan In Cali likes this. -

I'll check this out, though; especially if there's savings to be had!Fin Fan In Cali likes this. -
If anyone is interested, if you shop on the internet you can find it cheaper, and some places offer free shipping as well.

Well I put this in my wife's expedition as I said, and the gas mileage seems to be a lot better. I have put this in my little puddle jumper yesterday.:wink2:
