If they do get him, won't they lose out on a lot? They'd have the two best CBs, but wouldn't the rest of the team suffer as opposed to if they sign Cromartie cheaper and then fill a need someplace else? CB isn't a need for the Jets, they already have one of the Top 5 CBs.

It could get easier to run on them, and possibly easier for slot players like Welker and Bess. JT led the Jets in sacks, right? They're probably losing him, plus they'd no doubt lose Braylon Edwards and already lost Brad Smith.

ive been wondering this when i see jets *** kissers on tv or hear them on the radio they lose smith, cromartie and edwards, braylon made huge plays for them last season and you have alot of money tied up in one position.

With Revis & Nnamdi on the field, we'd be very wise to go after Zach Miller to upgrade TE or GMJohnson's suggestion of Sims Walker (or Braylon Edwards).
Heck with Orton; he won't help us beat this duo or the built up Pats for that matter.
IMO we should instead counter this with some more fire power rather than an average starting QB with limited upside.

No, but Schefter reported they were now about 10 million under the cap. How they got from being a reported 3-9 million over the cap, sign Holmes and Hunter, and now be 10 million under without reportedly releasing anybody is anyone's guess. They must be reworking some contracts behind the scenes.
