Let's just enjoy this win and ride this out. No need to put him in unless he's 100%.

Now if Ryan wants to come back and "lead" us to a playoff win?? Im okay with that.dnkeyhnter, smahtaz, Colmax and 1 other person like this. -
This thread is unecessary, Tannehill did a good job and I agree he would've definitely won those two games, but today is a day to celebrate. We all love this team and they have made us proud after 8 EXTREMELY LONG years. I'm so proud of this team and the joy they brought this year and that includes Matt Moore. Has he been perfect? Of course not, but he's done a great job coming in cold after 5 years. He deserves a ton of credit for keeping us afloat and not ruining our season as many backup QB's would have.
-
I don't see Tanny being healthy enough to start and play a game until the Divisional round of the playoffs, but he might be ready to be the backup to Moore in the Wild Card round.
Moore has done a great job as the backup QB and though I believe Tanny could have done just as well, or better, these past couple games it really has taken a team effort.btfu149 and PhinFan1968 like this. -

Total team effort. There is no other way to put it.
It's so great to have a competent coaching staff to get every ounce out of these guys. Just look at all the starters who are out on it or have missed time this year.
This accomplishment is about far more that Tannehill or Moore.

Our Coaches and our 53 man Roster led us to the playoffs! Special Teams, Defense and Offense. Pick your week and there was a different unit stepping up! That's the story of the 2016 Miami Dolphins!

It's pretty easy to say with confidence that they have both played their role in the team getting to the playoffs. Tannehill got us in position to challenge, needing some help. Moore finished the job along with the 'help' required coming through.
Ill be honest, every year there seems like there is a team that gets in playing with a different level of confidence. Maybe we are that team this year. Maybe, just maybe. -
This thread. Good lordy.

I'm hoping you get your head out of your *** and cheer whoever is playing qb against the steelers like the rest of the real fans.Rock Sexton and NyPhinfan like this. -

This seems like a good place to post this. What does tannehill do that Moore doesn't? Tannehill doesn't stretch the defense 20% of his pass attempts are behind the LOS and 67% are under ten yards. Moore has been unstoppable in the redzone where many tannehill fans quote how he is the best. Why rush him back? Moore has 1int in 2+ games while actually pushing the ball downfield as well as only one sack for no loss. Quit pretending tannehill would have undoubtably won those last two games when you know that isn't true considering his history. This team is better with Moore.

Well since your thread makes a bold statement I'll make one of my own. Matt Moore is as good of a QB as Tannehill. However they are both in part responsible for our run (Tannehill more so he played more games.) But lets see what Matt Moore can do for the rest of the season..

I do get your point with turnover buckets like Sanchez and Fitz. For me personally - I don't lower MM8 into their class though. Neither one of them can attack vertically the way Matt came - both have noodles for arms.

Myself, I think Jay Ajayi lead us to the playoffs. Also Gase, Stills, Suh, Wake, Alonso, Tony Lippett, Maxwell, Tunsil, Albert, Urbik, Bushrod, James, ..... I can name a bunch of players, because this has been an entire team effort. Plus coaches have done well as well.
There is way too much emphasis put on quarterbacks in the NFL.Superself, Fin-O, bigballa2102 and 1 other person like this. -

As I keep saying - wait for the season to end before even remotely discussing it. Should just be enjoying the ride. -
You cited 4 stats, 2 of which aren't even top 10 and the best is 6th. During the hot streak he faced two teams with a winning record and went 1-1. The win had a rb w/ over 200 yards, the other game was a 38-6 rout where he only scored when the defense started him on the 8 yard line. The 6 teams they beat have a combined 32 wins this year.
He has shown us in his 5 years that is at best a top 15-20 NFL qb. He isn't a great qb worth that sort of money.
This year he has had 2 300 yard passing games, one against a 1 win browns team in OT, the other against the Patriots who were leading 31-3 in the third quarter.
Honestly did you enjoy the Rams game? Yes, his last two drives were amazing, but overall that was a terrible game.dolphin25 likes this. -
While both Tannehill and Moore were instrumental in getting the Dolphins to the playoffs. Jay Ajayi is the MVP for this team and without him, the Dolphins would not be in the playoffs this year.

If Tannehill comes back healthy this season, then that's awesome. But if you believe in Adam Gase at all, then you have to accept his philosophies. Next man up. One victory at a time. The most important game of the season is this upcoming week. That's what our coach is teaching and it's a big part of where we are today.
So I'm not sure what people want us to say here...should we hope for Moore to play badly so it proves some theory about Tannehill? We could trade Moore and Tannehill tomorrow, for all I care, and I'm going to be rooting just as hard for the next guy in the huddle. That's what being a fan is all about- I just can't get into all this petty stuff about bruised egos.Finster likes this.
