If Bruce Allen lets Mike Shanahan have a major say in player personnel, the Skins won't get any better. Shanahan strongly believes in his own guys and is a poor self evaluator IMO.

Good hire for the Redskins,Shanahan is a decent coach but that is a lot of money. The thing is not to let him be a general manager,he is a great coach but when he started to be a GM also in Denver is when things went sour.

Is this hiring in violation of the NFL's policy on diversity. Arent they supposed to interview people of other races before hiring?

Snyder has enough to pay the fine. And they probably gave some bogus interview to a staffer or Art Shell or someone.

Honestly, its nice rule when teams are actually interviewing, but Shanny has been the target for Chainsaw Dan since like the first game of the season lol. I couldnt care less in this case.

IIRC, they had previous talked to Sherm Lewis about the HC position (who was given play calling when they stripped Zorn of that responsibility). So, in effect they have already honored the Rooney Rule.

    That's what I heard anyway...
