Loyal to a fault. If this is true, I think it's time for Tony to go.

Tony might as well stick his head in a toilet and give his own self a swirlie.
I don't want Sparano back if he's dumb enough to go down with the ship. Dude should be separating himself from Henning at all costs if he knows what's good for him. I'd be telling everyone that I can't wait to get in a new OC to help spice things up get this offense moving. -
 @ Sparano saying:
-
I think he's just saying that so it sounds good in public, Henning probably will "retire" at the end of the year, but really what it is probably is a firing by Sparano and company with dignity for Henning for all of his years.

Personally I hope he is saying the right things privately but, publicly I understand why he is saying the things he is. -
I wonder if what Sparano is saying to the public is actually what he's saying to people behind the scenes.

I couldn't care less what Sparano thinks of Henning....... Sparano is the bigger problem here. Dan Henning could fart and that fart would know more about x's and o's than the little fist pumper will ever know.

It is not Tony's style to publicly criticize his players or staff so I wouldn't read too much into those comments.... having said that, Tony NEEDS to be fired.

So he'll throw his young QB under the bus but Henning has done a tremendous job? Yeah, he's tapping that.

Are you still typing about this just to try and prove me wrong? The effort is flattering, but you could find some better ways to occupy your time. Just sayin. -

C'mon now, Sparano has to back his coaches and players to the media, not like some team exec's we know (cough....Bill Parcells...cough). You can't blame him for backing a guy that still has at least 2 more games to work. We'll see what happens on Jan 3rd, but I can't dis Sparano for sticking up for his guys...if he calls out a player, everyone gets all worked up about it...same thing goes for staff members... Henning most likely will be the fall guy for this offense whether or not he's the actual culprit. It's not Henne, Marshall or Brown...Henning will go...unless the entire staff goes...

Take Sparano's words with the smallest grain of salt. What do you expect him to say? I'm sure what he's saying about Henning now is what he would have said about Pasqualoni this time last year. Remember Jeff Ireland singing Gibril Wilson's praises just days before he was kicked to the curb?
