Some news that's sure to piss people off:
They haven't even started developing the 360 version. See, what pisses me off about this, it that they're gonna have the PS3 version finished and just sitting there while they port the 360 version.
Unless they have a specific plan (like a dedicated dev team to port it quickly), this is a dumb move imo.

I'm sure they'll just outsource the port. They outsourced FF4A, 5A, and 6A.

Also the PS3 is the only one getting a demo in March of 09

It pisses me off.
I have both consoles even, so wtf do I care.
I just want the game out. Period.
It is done, give it to us.
As americans we are basically being punished because we don't have the pct base of ps3 that the japanese do. -

Not a big deal. I thought thats what they were going to do. ITs no different than a Xbox 360 exclusive in 6=7 months going to the PS3 or PC.

Question: Couldn't they port it over to the xbox 360, WHILE they are working on the localization for the American version on the ps3?

The good news is... It might leak when it's being ported :)
The localization process of Blue Dragon put in my hands a full month before it's release. -

I read somewhere that the localization process was going to take at least 6 months so we here in the states will be getting it 6 months later than the Japanese anyways. Since the Japanese version is ps3 only, it doesn't need to be xbox360 ready at that time. So when they are working on the localization of FFXIII, they can work on the port while they work on the localization.
Also knowing a little about how Microsoft works and the HUGE buzz they got from the announcement of FFXIII to xbox360, I am sure the Pez Despensers filled with Dev kits are on their way. -
I'm out of the loop at the moment (I used to work in the video game industry until about a year ago), so I can't really tell if it's bull or not. My educated guess would be that Microsoft has some kind of exclusive deal in place with another developer (Bioware? Mistwalker?). -
