My brother has been adamant for the past few weeks that the NFL is rigged and the Super Bowl teams are represented in the logos well before the playoffs start. I think that's some tin-foil hat conspiracy stuff myself, but with this season's logo being purple and red, there's not too many combos it could possibly be. It would have to turn out San Fran vs Baltimore or KC vs Minnesota.
I'm not posting this expecting confirmation....this is to debunk this silly rumor and it just felt like a fun topic.

It's going to say a lot about your brother if he's wrong this year, and all he does is start a new conspiracy theory without realizing almost no conspiracy theories are correct. Keep us posted on what happens. Ravens with Jackson (one of the worst playoff QBs in recent history) are very unlikely to make the SB. SF is possible though.

Seen this around the internet and it is kinda odd that they picked the last two colors and both teams in the Super Bowl had those colors and this was prior to playoffs starting. If we end up 3/3 than they might have some explaining to do!

I've suspected for years that most pro sports are manipulated like pro wrestling. The refs are used to make key calls to influence outcome. Basketball and football are extremely suspect, imo. As soon as there are millions of dollars at stake, corruption comes in.

I don't agree with that statement at all seeing how good their defense is playing. Lamar Jackson and the offense don't look too bad either, he just hasn't needed to do very much lately based on how well the defense is playing. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Ravens in the Superbowl.

The Ravens are a scary good team, but I do think that the league has caught up with Jackson and several teams know how to contain him. I expect that we'll win that game in the regular season...but the playoffs against them (in Baltimore) worries me. It's pure superstition on my part though since Baltimore owned us for over a decade (before very recently when we spanked them a few times).resnor likes this.

That defense has been top 3 every year Jackson made the playoffs: 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022. And he's been terrible in the playoffs playing with a top 3 defense with ratings of 78.8, 63.2, 74.8 and 61.5. You cannot assume the Ravens of the regular season is anything like the Ravens of the postseason with Jackson. Unless Jackson is suddenly a completely different playoff QB, no that team is not going to the SB.
btw.. if anyone is interested I'd be very happy to bet even odds on whether the Ravens win the AFC championship. Jackson is a very flawed playoff QB, and you have to take this into account. Maybe for one game he might be different this year, but don't count on it for 2-3 consecutive games against tough opponents.KeyFin likes this. -
I used to bet on online sports betting sites, did well with MLB, came out more or less even with NFL. Then, after Jackson got people so fired up in 2018 here in Baltimore (I live here), I decided to take advantage of rabid fans willing to give you far better odds than Vegas. THAT is how you make money off of sports betting. Don't bet using Vegas odds. Bet using far better than Vegas odds against stupid fans who think their team is way better than it actually is.
Every year with Jackson it's the same story: multiple Ravens fans willing to bet even odds on whether they'll make the SB — and often they do so well before the season is over LOL. So sure if your brother is willing to take EVEN ODDS (lol.. can't laugh hard enough on that) on whether the Ravens will make the SB I'm in. I thought that when I saw your comment- there's 8 AFC teams in the playoffs, he should get AT LEAST 8:1 odds for it to be a fair bet. The Ravens probably aren't the best AFC team either, LOL.

When I was in Cairo Egypt we had an Egyptologist who had been studying the pyramids for over 20 years give us a tour of the pyramids. He was telling us how they were built. After he finished I said "Theirs another theory on how they were built", he and my son looked at me and I said "the aliens built them. That's why there's gold on top of them so they can communicate with outer space". The looks on their faces were priceless.

The way he explained it was that they cut the stones by the Nile river during the year and when it flooded every year, it lifted the boats and enabled them float the stones to the site. Once off loaded, they filled in the bottom with dirt/sand and pulled them up and around until where they needed the stone. Like a dirt ramp you would jump a bike over something. Then I hit him with the aliens.

Well, he thinks the aliens made the pyramids pretty much as altars of worship to both empower and enslave the Egyptians. He'll also tell you how the pyramids were built on ley lines to summon mystical power from...well, somewhere...and make the Egyptian rulers invincible. He also talks about a figure seen in different parts of the world...Seti maybe? I really try to shut out this stuff when he's babbling on so I'm not sure, but it's a human looking thing with a dog face. Anyway, he believes that's the head alien God that everyone worshipped since it's on multiple continents in drawings and statues.
However, my brother has also become a Christian in recent years and has decided that all that stuff is still true, but the aliens were actually demons that enslaved Egypt. Or maybe they're still aliens. It varies from day to day. He's pretty sure that the Egyptians were bad though and didn't get the eternal glory they were searching for, they were tricked by the God-dog-alien thing and went to hell.
That's where the knights templars come in...they stole that magic centuries later with Solomon's staff that could control demons (AKA, the aliens). My brother's theory stretches across millenniums and ties into modern shadow organizations that control the world through evil power and corruption.
Oh, he also believes in Bigfoot (primitive man-giants) and the Loch Ness monster (dinosaurs that swam underwater to survive), although they don't tie into the main storyline. -

Yeah I don't think it's rigged, but European soccer is a warning in that regard. Serie A, the top Italian league (one of the big 4 leagues in Europe) has had numerous scandals, and in 2006 telephone wiretappings showed collusion between multiple teams to select favorable refs. Juventus, the champion that year, was stripped of the title as a result. You can read about it here:

I don't think that's the case in the NFL or even NBA, but you never know. It would be nice to have those kinds of wiretappings, and maybe see who is profiting from certain games or outcomes in games. -
If the league predetermined the winner, and the refs simply call games a certain way, the players will never know. How many big plays, that matter, you see called back by a flag, then the drive sputters and fails. Happens all the time.
