Hey, Adam Gase, I finally agree with something you do. Why give the media insight, why tell the next team up(Lions) which QB to prepare for?

 

^Reading between the lines, it seems like Gase could potentially be feuding with Tannehill.

 

I don't think feuding as much as Gase sees Tannehill is not mentally prepared. I don't think this is a shoulder thing as much as it is a "throw two pick-6's on three inch passes". That's about the only possible way we were losing that Cinci game and it actually happened.

 

Nice that Gase may be finally seeing what everyone else besides a select few Dolphin fans suffering from Stockholm Syndrome - that Tanny boy is a nice guy but is fools gold. I would love to sit and watch a open, hostile, feud between Gase and numkins17, would make this season more enjoyable and my respect for Gase would grow significantly.

Ya know I’ve seen quite of few posters nitpicking about Osweiler’s stats, about how Wilson padded them. Such ignorant remarks, Osweiler still was the guy who put the ball in the hands of the playmakers and worked his way in and out of the pocket. I wonder about the knowledge of some of these fans sometimes.

 

My IQ goes down 20 points reading these posts about "between the lines" and such. Tannehill has an AC joint injury. If it doesn't need surgery it can take anywhere from one week to six weeks to heal. While you have it you have limited mobility. It's too his throwing shoulder so you don't want him throwing with limited motuon. If it isn't too serious most people start feeling better after a week so we could see Tannehill back next week or week 12 depending on how bad it is. Hopefully he doesn't need surgery

 

According to this guy, Tannehill has 2 shoulder injuries.

 

Our WR's have been padding which ever QB suits up for the Miami Dolphins.

 

Does this dude have concrete information? Just wondering.

 

Seems like he does, but the diagnosis is easy when you see the mechanism of injury.

 

Guy's an Orthopedic Surgeon, doubt he's just throwing stuff at the wall.

 

Sheesh. Let's hope this isn't anything crazy in regards to healing time.

 

Maybe this why we kept 4 QBs? Its just tough to believe in a guy who's last name is Fales as your last option.

Brock did nothing spectactular on those TD's to Wilson. They're short, 2-3 yard throws. It's Wilson that makes the play. So, yeah... Wilson padded those stats for Brock bigtime. That's not ignorance, that's fact. Kind of like how most people here said Tannehill's stats were padded with the little shovel passes to Wilson and Grant earlier in the year in his 3 TD game. Again, not ignorance.. It's just simple fact. Wilson made those plays, Not Brock. Lets not act like he did something spectacular on either play. It was simply terrible defense from Chicago, and outstanding effort from Wilson, that helped contribute to well over 200 RAC yards on the day. One was a simple screen, the other was a little 4 yard or so pass over the middle that Wilson just embarassed a defense. Ryan makes those same throws. So does any QB. Ray ****ing Lucas could have completed those TD passes today.

Not trying to take anything away from Brock, he played well, but to act like he's incredible, and people are being "ignorant" and bashing him or whatever... it's just as ridiculous. I too am left to wonder about the knowledge of some of these fans somtimes...

I liked what he brought to the field today. The first INT to Parker... meh... Parker got taken out of the play right off the LOS being boxed out to the sideline, Brock underthrows it, PArker really puts in no effort to help. It wasn't good. The second INT was Brock Osweiler in a nutshell really. It was BAD. That being said, he looked in command, he made the simple plays asked of him, but all in all, truth be told, he played behind an OL that handles its' responsibilities unlike last week, he showed good pocket presence, and he got the ball out, as simple as those plays were. The WR's did the rest. That IS the point of this offense essentially, but lets not pretend it was anything worth anointing the guy over.

Again, not trying to bash the guy, loved what he did today for us, but for you to essentially try and make it seem like Osweiler did something spectacular today completing those passes to Wilson, it's just... not that spectacular from a QB perspective. Sorry, but you're the one who's wrong there.

 

Just proved your ignorance. Where is I say anywhere that he was “incredible” ???? Don’t act like a dummy here. I said he deserved credit for getting the ball into playmakers hands. Haven’t seen Thill throw too many 10 to 15 downfield throws into the hands of Wilson that often. Thill would’ve thrown those balls five yards behind the line of scrimmage to his RB.

 

Spot on post, theres something else that isn't recognized. The fact Osweiler was in the game it seemed it motivated the players to rally around Brock. They had more fire and optimism and it cant be denied. Im not saying he is the answer but offense sure looked good.

 

Typically players rise to the occasion when there backs are against the wall and adversity strikes. Once you see your backup QB in the game, you know you have to focus even more and be on your game.

 

It's amazing what can happen when you have good play makers and actually get the ball to them on time in a good play design..ya know, instead of holding onto the ball

 

Great, but what's so special about what he did to "get the ball into playmakers hands" that we haven't already seen from our other QB on those two plays to Wilson? Nothing. You can watch probably 250 of those same throws the other QB has made on those same plays, and they didn't work. As a matter of fact, you can watch yesterdays game and watch Brock make those same passes, to the same players, and they didn't work out either. It's really nothing spectacular from a QB. The success of those plays lies with the receiver's ability to run after the catch and make guys miss, as well as the blocking. One was the WR screen we call so often, that has most fans and posters here screaming for Gase's head on Sundays when they don't work. What's the difference? We executed, Wilson made guys miss, the Bears played it awful defensively. That's the big difference on those plays, nothing about one QB or another.

Again, I'm not trying to diminish anything from Osweiler, but everyone is acting like this was some damn miracle performance. It just wasn't IMO. Were there some differences, absolutely, but ultimately the plays that changed the game weren't because of some incredible throw or skill or ability from Brock that we don't see from Tannehill. They were incredible efforts from Wilson, poor efforts from Chicago. A lucky break on a deflection that ended up in Stills' hands. Things that happen in football regularly. Ryan makes those same throws 15 times a game because they're a staple of Gases offense, the end result is different as Wilson embarrassed the defense, but that's not anything to do with a QB. Sorry, just isn't. Not in a way I'm going to give him crazy praise though, much like I wouldn't with Tannehill's 3 TD game because of those two plays that were essentially running plays, that get called TD passes.

What I loved to see though, was the pocket presence from Brock. That was a glaring difference to me. How many times yesterday did we see him get out of there when things broke down, and throw it away? Yes, he was looking downfield more too, and made some throws Ryan tends to shy away from, and his anticipation is better. His energy is nice to see, yes but it's not something you can point to and say Brock was so fired up that lead to Wilson making guys miss all over the field. No. Look at the Cincy game, Tannehill throws the TD to Drake, flies down the field and celebrates with Drake. Where did that leave us? The big key was Brock's turnovers didn't kill us. They almost did, and we got some breaks, and big plays from playmakers though to bail us out because he didn't fold under pressure like Ryan did last week, although that pressure was pretty inexcusable from our OL last week. The other big key, we stuck with the run, and ran it well. We need to run the ball, and run it well to be successful with this offense IMO.

Can't stress it enough, not trying to diminish anything he did, but I think some people are just getting a bit carried away off the emotion of an exciting win. I don't think what we saw yesterday is something you can point to and say he needs to start. Not sure what to tell you if you think that dumb, or ignorant. Either way, IMO, this team needs to be looking for a QB for 2019.

There was a miracle yesterday, and it was Tunsil completely shutting down a red-hot Khalil Mack for 60 straight minutes. He was clearly the game's MVP. The true story of the day was that offensive line going to war against an elite defense and absolutely shining. One play that stands out (since the replay showed it 50 times)- Drake's 1 yard run where he fumbled from a defender getting a hand in there. Although Chicago made an incredible turnover while getting driven to the ground, the freaking hole Drake had to run through was massive. That was fantastic blocking all the way across the line and that group should be proud today.

 

Look, I was thrilled to death the way Osweiler played yesterday. He looked good the offense looked good. Maybe Thill will be out again this week and we'll get another look at him, cause that's the thing. There have been lots of QB's that look great for a game or two and then everything goes to hell in a handbasket. We need to see him bring it over a few games before I'd think it was the right thing to consider replacing Thill with him. I'm just not sold on him based on his past at this point. Not enough anyway.

 

So? No excuses? For the two losses? Tannehill got hurt while blowing last game? Hmmm

 

Are we sure that was all Tunsil though? I thought I read something prior to the game that said Mack does most of his rushing from the right side, and he'd be up against James mostly. Maybe I'm mistaken. Either way, whoever it was along that OL that kept Mack underwraps deserves a big steak dinner courtesy of the RB's and Osweiler.

 

I can't be certain on 100% of the snaps, but in the 2nd and 3rd quarters he was lined up over Tunsil. I'll let you know though after I watch the game again tonight.

 

If you go back and watch that hit he takes in the Cincy game on the strip/fumble, his arm his hit while in a throwing motion, it looks pretty bad when you see it. That's a pretty easy way for a guy to cause some pretty good damage to his shoulder. It's very likely IMO he was trying to play through it all week, and maybe tweaked it somehow as Sunday approached.

 

Cool. I didn't pay much attention to him. I was afraid to. :lol: I figured we'd see enough of him wreaking havoc on replays after big plays that I wouldn't have to pay attention to him. :lol:

Maybe we should start a gofundme page or something to buy the OL that steak dinner for not allowing Mack to rip our QB or RB from limb to limb. :lol:
