Lol thats a pretty funny article. I am not a tannehill fan but im sure even the most humble quarterback in the NFL, my guess that would be Eli Manning, has said worst things before.

On Saturday during practice, Tannehill, after a couple of practice squad players forced turnovers, Tannehill made negative comments toward them, including saying: “Enjoy your practice squad paycheck, enjoy your practice squad trophy.”
Sources say this has been going on for the past few weeks as the practice squad players have been intercepting Tannehill and frustrating the former Texas A&M wide receiver turned quarterback.
Philbin told the practice squad players to take it easy on Tannehill to not affect the young quarterback’s confidence.
--- None of that is good, disappointing to hear about Tannehill's comments to teammates.Dolphinzdawgg likes this. -
Oh my freaking God, if this is true??????
No wonder you were fired Philbin...
Grow the Eff up Tanny...
It's that level of play that elevated Stoneburner from the practice squad. I would think you WANT this type of play from your practice squadhazy, LiferYank, Dolphinzdawgg and 3 others like this. -

I know there is a lot of support for Tannehill on this forum. I just find it interesting that you never hear that same support from the players on the Dolphins. It just makes you wonder if he has the same support from his team that the better QB's in the league have from their teammates.
I remember the players on the Dolphins always talking up Marino, but you just never hear those positive comments regarding Tannehill. Just wondering why.hazy, Dolphinzdawgg, KeyFin and 4 others like this. -
Not sure I believe that.

Tannehill doesnt get that praise from his teammates. Hell, Miko Grimes went on to say how some of the players have told her personally that they dont believe in tannehill and that he leaves too much on the field.shamegame13, dolphin25, gunn34 and 1 other person like this. -

This is a really weird story. We have two DB's a FS and SS on the practice squad, two LB's, and a DE. I'm not sure if I immediately buy those five players doing so well against the first team. Not to mention this guy who works in Houston being the only source of the story.

LOL, I'm actually disappointed he didn't come harder with his smack.

This shows how much of a clown coach Philbin was. I don't really get why people getting on Tannehill. Yeah it was douche smack but players talk smack all the time.

We have 28 games of Tannehill to see what is with that guy, is he a quarterback or not, if not, Ross will take the savings in 2017 and we move on.

He still looks very raw for a guy who is in his fourth year, and there is a huge lack of leadership qualities in him, and then there is a mental aspect that I don't feel from him. I don't think he sees the field like an elite quarterback is suppose to (he is getting paid like one), and maybe he does see the field, but he definitely doesn't take the best opportunities and always goes to the safe option first. Too many times the past 3 seasons I have seen him avoid the wide open guys down the field, possibly isn't confident he can put the ball where it's suppose to go. And if he doesn't avoid them he misses them by 10 yards. Enough, this guy needs to drop his balls and start playing like his contract demands of him to play.

The only interesting part of the report is that Philbin told the PS guys to stop intercepting Thill. The smack talking is smack talking without that part.

Hopefully it was Mike Hull who picked him off. If so he should be promoted as starting MLB.

What would be the benefit of telling PS players to NOT intercept the starting quarterback? So he can't fix his mistakes? Don't say his confidence, because it would hurt his confidence more to have to instruct the PS players to baby him. There's a difference between talking smack and attacking a man's livelihood (his paycheck). Having a hard time believing this one.

Who knows really... it's not exactly a spectacular fact filled report.Colmax likes this. -
Someone in another thread posted that in many practice squad scenarios they'll run the same plays over and over, so the defensive guys actually would know the play fully to be able to jump the route etc. In that regard - telling them to take it easy might make sense. But it seems like the better solution would be...I dont know...changing up the way you practice?
Bizarre report with no real supporting anything anyway. Hard to take it seriously, but its still concerning its out there in the first place...cuchulainn likes this.
