ESPN - Texas QB McCoy reportedly will return for senior season - College Football
I thought he would be the second best Quarterback coming out, including Sam Bradford in that list. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bradford stay as well. Looks like Matthew Stafford may have the top spot locked up now.

What's your opiinion on draft prospects continuing for a fourth year? Is it always a good thing?
-
I will believe it once that final deceleration day passes. It is way too early for a team leader like him, in the NC hunt to say something other than what he did.
-
Probably wants to erase the doubts caused by his average soph year. Really could've applied for the draft with a sky-high stock in a very weak QB class.
-
what is this years draft high in?

Awesome.

Bradford has less reason to come out. This is only his second year, and pro guys like experience in their QB prospects. Number of games started and completion percentage are the two highest correlating factors when it comes to QB prospects doing well in the pros. Bradford lost the Red River Rivalry game, and that should mean he stays in school.
As for McCoy, I too will wait for the final day. If he wins the National Championship, no reason for him to stay. He'll have 39 games with of experience by then...PLENTY. If he stays for another year, ends up with like 52 games of experience...that will be one ripe quarterback I think.anlgp likes this. -
When is their deadline to make themselves eligable for the draft?

I'm sure he'll change his mind if he wins the NC this year.

Mack Brown does have a good reputation for keeping his Texas boys in school.
But...wouldn't Colt have graduated after this year? He redshirted in 2005, so he should graduate in 2008 if he hasn't already. You have to wonder why he would go back to school for a fifth year. I think everyone believes that Matt Leinart made a mistake when he made a similar decision. Everyone knew he wasn't taking any real classes, he'd already graduated, and it enhanced his reputation as loving the celebrity USC life more than football, and being afraid of the challenges that await him in the pros. Colt McCoy would be making a mistake, IMO, to go back even if he's already graduated. Scouts and GMs would start to question whether he's really anxious for the challenges that await him in the pros. -

By the way. I know this isn't the thread at hand, but has anyone been paying attention to a 6'0'' 200lb DB by the name of DeAngelo Willingham? #24 for Tennessee, I have a feeling we'll be all over this guy come April. Good hips for a guy his size, and he can change driection well. Peeks into the backfield too much, but that hoepfully can be rectified.

When it comes to DBs, if I were a team I couldn't wait to get my hands on Eric Berry or Morgan Burnett.

I am so bad with names,..........numbers I'm great with, but names not so much. -
Con, did you watch the OSU/PSU game by chance? :shifty:

I hope ya'll are watching this game tonight. Big QB battle going on, seems like we have that every week with Colt McCoy. He just executed a beautiful pump fake that I'm pretty sure got Malcolm Williams wide open on the vertical, threw a nice overhead strike and Williams goes 90 yards for a TD. Texas is on the comeback, down by 3 now.
And Graham Harrell is a pretty good QB in his own right. He's been my favorite senior QB.gafinfan likes this. -

Crabtree is a man... Love how big, strong, and physical he is. I though he should just step out, but nope. He just overpowers that guy. Great blocker too. Very Hines Ward like.
His voice sounds like Richard Pryor...

Why not go for two? This coach is an idiot...

What a quarterback duel. No shame for Colt McCoy in this one. Texas Tech's D was after him all night and he still came out on top but Harrell's offense just came out and did some crazy stuff. Also, let's face it, the game was in and out of Gideon's hands.

And Tebow, forget it. I wouldn't want to touch him if I were an NFL coach.
