Atrocious call... How the hell do you miss that he was down by contact..

Can someone explain to me what happened with the controversial call?

 

7 yard run where the backs knee was absolutely down, but the refs didnt blow the whistle, and because they didnt blow the whistle, it was not reviewable, subsequently the back ran for an 80 yard TD.

 

After he ran for the TD, Detroits head coach challenged the play. That resulted into a 15 yard penalty. And in the NFL rule book, if a coaches challenges a non-challengable play, since every TD is reviewed anyway, that play can no longer be reviewed. So Detroit throwing the challenge flag cost them a chance to look at the play which would have been overturned.

Its a stupid rule imo because Detroit did that out of instinct, and your job is to get the right call on the field regardless, so why not review that play? Stupid rule in the NFL rule book

 

N Suh likes to take cheap shots on defenseless qbs and players, especially qbs...just think about that for a sec, 300 lb beast is sucker punching guys a hundred lBs smaller, and acting if he's a bad *** for doing it..

Yeah this is correct. It was most definitely reviewable until the penalty. Didnt this same situation happen over the weekend too? I forget to who

 

That Forsett run was a joke. Ruling about the challenge was a joke. With the ruling about all TDS being reviewed and a coach who spotted a mistake 1st to be denied by a flawed rule is a joke. NFL must be embarrassed with that. Lame.

 

It's made the NFL look dumb. Pretty pathetic to be honest. Lions got shafted on that rule.

 

That's some serious chicken sh&$ coaching, your making your kicker kick a 48 yarder on third down, I'd be livid if I was a lion fan..stupid call, at least get 5 yards in a quick pass..field goal hit the post..lol

lions come down and win the game..wtf kind of decision is that? How do you not try to get closer..wuss conservatism.

 

There's been a conscious effort to get the fans involved in this cowboy game..they've been talking about it..

 

Yup they were into it from the get.

 

Last week for the browns game there were complaints about the lack of energy in the building, cowboys marketing dept sending messages to fans to step up their game.cowboys went down 13 to 0 last week to browns.

Yeah the 3rd down field goal made no sense. Yes I get the bad snap reason, but even if there was a bad snap, you would be out of field goal position. Get a few more yards for your kicker

The one thing I noticed was how half the Detroit players were talking trash and dancing and show boating all over the field. I guess it's their one chance at a nationally televised game but as an unlikeable group as I have seen all year. Make. Play..jump up nd strut...miss 5 plays in a row and walk quietly back to the huddle.

 

Jason Garrett is a terrible coach.

I like how the Skins knew they got a fast/cerebral QB who loves the deep ball. I like how they decided to surround that QB with fast receivers and an offense that allows his speed and decision making to shine.

Love the read option by RG..just another thing the defense has to prepare for..

RG can run out of formation, can scramble with the best, can throw from the pocket, out of the pocket, will take off with speed..damn, that's a lot to worry about for one position.

 

I think we've taught Ryan enough to stay in the pocket, he needs to have a moving pocket, especially with defenders now practicing the swat, and his weakness to not change his platform.

 

I believe you were right. That kid is something else. I feel bad for Rams fans who are stuck with Bradford when they could have had RG3.

 

I'll find it at season's end but i remember swearing that Kai Forbath would not miss a field goal this season. 10/10. Kid is so money. We really miss him at UCLA. Our current kicker is turrible
