There will be a riot if this keeps up. NFL is lucky that the home teams of the last 2 prime time games have won with the BS calls (Ravens and now Seahawks). This is like a slap in the face for NFL viewers.

As a NFL viewer (not a fan of any of the 4 teams involved) I don't feel slapped in the face. Both games were extremely entertaining to me, albeit somewhat chaotic.

Damien Woody had a funny tweet, said the Real Refs are popping champaign like the '72 Dolphins now. They've got all the leverage. I'd check out Darnell Dockett's as well.

EDIT: You're not talking about Steelers-Dolphins from 2010 are you? Because I don't think the Steelers were given a TD on that play. Though I don't remember completely other than we were screwed. -

I guess on replay they changed it back from a TD, but it still wasn't the right call regardless. And that was the "real" refs.

It looked good to me on replay (above the goal post, which is still good). Never could have been reversed on replays that were available anyways.
Edit: This video isn't even conclusive either, since it's offset to the left and you have no way to judge the ball where it's at in relation to the goal post (front to back).BuckeyeKing and Anonymous like this. -
i would say that was because of the angle it was shot, but if my physics serves me right a hard angle from that side of the goal post should make it seem MORE in if anything...

The replacement refs are obviously worse, but its not like the regular ones are perfect. Recall Super Bowl XL. Phins/Steelers like 2/3 years ago. Music City Miracle (clearly a forward pass).
But I know, far more bad calls are being made by the replacements. NFL should still put the best out there and stop being greedy. -

It always looked slightly forward to me, maybe because the player moved back...but because it was against the Bills (and in 2000) I don't really give much a **** so I'll give it to you and say it was a lateral. :up:

And the play I am citing was clearly a fumble and recovery for Miami before replay IMHO. Where the comparison fails (if anywhere IMO) is one happened around 2:30 in the 4th, and the other was at 0:00 in the 4th.
We can cite the Hochuli play where he robbed the Chargers of a win in 2008 vs the Broncos when Cutler fumbled it and Hochuli called it incomplete if you want another example. -
