Sadly have to work today, but have the game set to record.
4pm, NFL Network
Hope to see the starters play the first half and see what cream rises to the top with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th stringers.

I'd forgotten what time this started but thankfully the NFL app reminded me.
Big fan of Dazn for making the pre-season free to watch over here in the UK. -
Well that couldn't have been a worse start. Terrible decision by Tua there.
Edit: Good tackle by him at least.resnor likes this. -
Tua get's picked early.

LOL. Running and throwing is a bad idea for Tua. Doesn't have the arm strength. Stay in the pocket bro.

Defence does their job. Force 4th and 6th. Is it like last season? No we actually convert the turnover on downs.

Barely avoid a safety after a high snap.
A 14 play drive later and the Dolphins go 7-0 up thanks to a Mostert TDLast edited: Aug 19, 2023 -

I feel a lot better than I did 5 minutes ago. That was a nice drive, especially after nearly giving up a safety.

Another high snap i sure wouldn't give Conner his money this year until he solves this.

Chalk it up to nerves.

Achane's burst is fun to watch. If we can get a halfway competent OL together, then there'll at least be some fun plays on his highlight reel in no time.

I don't care if it's on the Dolphins or not but Salvon Ahmed is an NFL calibre running back.

Ahmed TD. 14-3.
I've not been a fan of Skylar but he looked good on the majority of that drive -

One thing I like so far: McDaniel's going to be better in year 2 than he was in year 1. Success on offense is going to come down to execution.
One thing I hate so far: Our OL is so inconsistent, it's hard to imagine how good and how horrible they can be on the same drive. So odd how they've been both turnstiles and a juggernaut within a couple of plays of each other. Might be reaching for the Peptol-Bismol frequently. -

Whilst the D hasn't been perfect tonight, they've definitely done a better job than the gaping holes being left by the Texans. Nice drive fellas.
21-3. Berrios TD.
Edit: I'd be tempted to try an onside kick. I know it's not vital but a bit of practice wouldn't be bad.Silverphin likes this. -
I hate watching exhibition games. But I can't lie and say I don't mind watching when we're playing well. And I can't complain about 21-3, regardless of how the game plays out.

Skylar has the heart and desire, but his processing is just too slow. You aren't going to have that type of time in the pocket, and you are going to get kllled.
-
Glad Tua made it out ok. That tackle must have made some hearts skip a beat. On a side note I'm so glad Bridgewater is gone. Wearing #50 as a QB gets strip sacked loses the fumble and laughs.

As I start typing this, we get a penalty.JJ_79 likes this. -
I'm not going to complain about inconsistent officiating and league rules in the preseason. But I'd appreciate it if somebody can explain why you get a roughing the passer penalty for landing on a QB on a sack but not for landing on him after he lets go of the ball. Dude creamed Skylar and he got up slowly and was subsequently yanked by the spotter (surprise!). If he tackled him the same way while he was holding the ball, it would have been a personal foul.
Make it make sense. -

I made the mistake of praising the lack of penalties from our OL earlier. I think I was the curse.
