well whatever, he is done for game 2 , dont see how a basketball player can‘t be a liability with this kind of injury to his team
lol...it was obvious he wasnt playing....Miami shot 50/40/90 as a team and lost by 10....this series is over.....Lakers in 4 Not even the dirty tricks in trying to injure Lebron like Crowder tried in Game 1 or Olynyk on Davis in Game 2 are working...
Anyways, the most exciting thing about this years NBA finals is figuring out Lebron’s rehearsed reaction when he hoists the trophy... 1. Cry and claim it was for Kobe 2. Reference BLM and say VOTE. 3. Make it all about himself 4 All of the above
You’re missing... The Bryant’s, Vanessa and the girls Anthony Davis Lakers teammates City of LA Jeannie Buss and Front Office James Family And whatever else the Reporters ask him to answer.
Miami did enough to win offensively - they dropped 114 points. But they couldn’t defend. They gave up 124 points. If only they had an all defensive center on the court. Im not gonna cry about Lebron hammer fisting iggy or KCP almost concussing Herro. It’s nba finals basketball.
Tonight's game is basically the season. If we make it 2-1 I honestly still believe we have a good chance. Down 3-0 obviously its over and we just need to talk about taking a game and trying to make it some sort of series. Bam says he believes he will play, so we will see.
We need to come out strong in the 4th and seal the game. Maybe Bam can come back for game 4 and we at least have a punchers chance. Edit: Well letting them take the lead was the opposite of what we needed to do. Not looking good. Double Edit: Jimmy Butler with a legendary type performance.
I’d say there’s no excuse for a Lakers team with Lebron James and AD, 2 mvp candidates and one of which who is the best basketball player of all time, to lose to a team missing 2 of its top 3 players in the NBA finals. To a team where a rookie is their 2nd best player on the court. but then I remember Jimmy Butler, is in fact Jimmy Butler. And Spo is Lebrons daddy. see you game 4, bam.
Eff you LeBron. You walking piece of sh*t. I hope you tear an Achilles and have to retire. This Heat team has more guts than any of the Heat teams you were privileged to belong to.
come on bro. I agree he’s a piece of crap. He’s used his power to help the rich and hurt the poor, metaphorically speaking, when it comes to the NBA. I could go on for a while about how lebrons hurt the NBA. but I don’t think I’d ever wish physical pain on another man. However, watching Lebron mad and in mental pain tonight was very satisfying. Let’s keep our morals as men first and foremost before any sports allegiances.
Itll be more fun to beat them with Lebron healthy anyway. I dislike everything he stands for as a player and wish he never put on a Heat uniform. He kind of disgusts me as a man, no competitive spirit or love for his city and franchise. By competitive spirit I dont mean in game, I just mean he will always jump to the easiest route he can. . Cleveland didnt mean more to him than adding to his legacy, Miami and LA dont mean **** to him either.
I don’t really hope it happens. It’s just a rant. Me and my friends always joke that way. Doesn’t everyone? Lol.
The thing I like most about this team is when they say cliche things, you can tell they mean them. The whole backs against the wall thing isnt just something they say, they embody it and live it. Win or lose they make it fun and you want to believe in them as a fan.
Game four tonight. I'm feeling good about this one! Never count Jimmy Butler out, Herro is finding a little groove and confidence, Robinsin is due to light it up! Let's go!
Will be interesting if they use Meyers Leonard a lot more going forward to take up some space underneath along with Bam. We certainly need more rebounding and with Leonard you’re not losing any long range shooting.
That’s been so disappointing to me. They haven’t had a game where their outside shooters catch fire. The Heat are better than they’ve been playing.
This is the first time I've ever felt proud of a team that was on the losing end. That was a hell of a game 4 even if the end got away from us. Right now we are ahead of schedule and hopefully free agents are taking notice, Miami is a place you can come to be the final piece, whoever you are. As much as I know this series is over I still believe this is the kind of team that can pull off one more win. Will they, I really dont know, but I do know they are capable.
Butler was superb last night and it's incredible how these rookies & young players just keep stepping up and making baskets. I don't know if we win two straight from here but I will say this, the Heat believe that they're the better team and I'm starting to agree. They just want it more. It will be interesting to see how LA responds if they don't have Davis- everyone shrugged when we lost Bam and Dragic until Jimmy Buckets went ballistic in game 3. He did it again last night and I really hope we get to see game 6 without Davis to see if LeBron can still carry a team on his back like Jimmy did. I'm pretty sure the answer is "no" because Jimmy gave every ounce of energy he had last night...the man looked like he was about to collapse heading to the interviews. Butler is nowhere near Wade's level but man, he's such a fantastic leader with his fearless approach. I couldn't believe some of those mid-range, fading jumpers he kept dropping on Bron and Davis! He absolutely is a superstar in my book and I couldn't be prouder of the whole Heat organization this year.
Honestly when hes playing his absolute best, there isnt a guy except Lebron I think I'd take over Jimmy. Not counting PF and C. I wish he could be that guy every night but its unrealistic.
Well, if he can be that guy for two more nights then we're going to be NBA champions. Wade did it for us back in '06 and I'm seeing so many similarities, he can't drive or finish like Wade back then...but Butler is so much more mature as a leader and just a guy who gets everyone else involved. If I'm the Lakers, I'm throwing everything at Jimmy in game 6 and making the rest of the team beat me. That's the Heat's exact game plan every night though- one of our perimeter guys needs to have the night of his life in each of these last two games. But man, I really believe that the Heat have a chance here.....maybe not a true 50/50 shot but it's getting closer to that with every game. The funny thing is, I DESPERATELY want them to win game 6...but not for me. What they've done this season, I am ultra proud already and could care less if they actually win it all- they've done more than enough in my book. But I want it so badly for them....for Jimmy and Bam and Herro, Robinson, Dragic, Spo, UD, etc, etc. Heck, even for Wade since he's on the phone with Jimmy every single night breaking down plays and giving him confidence to become that beast we just saw. They're just playing too hard and at too high of a level to get within 2 games and lose. For their efforts this season in the bubble, they deserve to be champions so much more than the Lakers.
In my book these guys are already the champs. If you're asking who the best -team- this season has been I dont think you need to look much further. Unfortunately, in the NBA having massive talent can outweigh teamwork. It doesnt get much better than Lebron out there on the court. What's been happening in our wins in my opinion, is basically that Butler is canceling Lebron out and eating that talent gap for dinner. Then instead of having the two best players on the court it becomes AD and an average Lakers team vs Bam and a really strong team. That talent gap isnt impossible to bridge. I'd love if Bam came out at least one of these games and took some pressure off of Butler. Game 6 would be a great time for that.
I haven't heard anything about AD today, but there's two thing going there- 1) He hurt his foot and didn't play 100%...maybe he doesn't play game 6. 2) There's the punch AD threw at Crowder's head in the 3rd quarter....maybe he gets suspended for game 6. I'm not counting on either one happening, but if AD is out then I think Miami is probably the better team. I'm with you though- I've already crowned the Heat champions in my book and they really have nothing left to prove. Just a fantastic year.
Jimmy is already my favorite over Wade. I know most wont agree. But anyone who is best friends with LeBron or leaves this Heat franchise with a dispute is dead to me.
D Wade carried us for so long and made so many clutch plays down the stretch, he'll always be my favorite Heat player (with Zo tied or a very close 2nd). Wade always wanted to play in his hometown Chicago but ultimately left because Riley didn't have any conversations with him over that last off-season....I guess Pat assumed that there was no way possible he'd leave after taking pay-cuts for the majority of his career to help the team. To me, that's on the front office more than anything. I think Butler is close to being on Wade's level skill-wise and he's probably a better overall leader, but he doesn't have Wade's killer instinct to take over a ballgame. To Wade, that was automatic...kick in that next gear and own it. Jimmy shies away from that role and needs to be pushed to become that guy, which I think is admirable in some ways since he prefers getting his team going. I just looked it up- this is Butler's 9th year overall in the NBA, so I'm guessing he was never put squarely in this "superstar" role before. But hopefully he's here for several years and can grow into it- I think he's simply a fantastic player who has all the intangibles. We'll see what happens tonight, but I feel it in my bones that he's going to put in another legendary performance. I just hope it's enough for the sake of our players...they deserve that championship trophy. As I said before though, I want it so bad for them...but I'm already content for the season win or lose. I'm just so stinkin' proud of them and this entire season.
I like Jimmy because he comes off as really awkward and dorky in a way. Its refreshing when everyone else seems so worried about their "brand" and having a super generic personality. Huge game tonight. We dont need to win two, we need to win one. One and the series is even and all the pressure in the world falls on the Lakers.
