Is he a LSU alum? I have seen the video but hadn't heard that.
Unreal. Any other questions concerning why you never want SEC refs. -
Nah but that guy sure can tackle I would love to have a 12th man on my team.
-
Holy crap! That's not going to be good for college football.
Check out this line from one of the posts on the YT:

Wow! That was complete BS. That ref needs to be fired ASAP.

So your saying he ISNT an LSU alum?
Sounds like you have an axe to grind to me... Anychance we can have the title redone if he isnt? That IS very misleading
Oh and yeah, hopefully that guy isnt doing anymore college games. That is completely and totally uncalled for. Rediculous..
OT: Any chance we can sign the guy after he is fired from being a ref? He tracked the kid pretty nicely, squared his shoulders and didnt lead with his helmet. Better technique than most of our current linebackers. :wink2: -
 oh my god, i hadn't seen this before, thats just insane! It sure looks to me like the ref is trying to bring him down on purpose. the way he kind of lunges into him and gives him the forearm sure looks more like he's trying to hit him, instead of getting out of the way. Thats crazy

I saw it live. It was a horrible play. The SEC needs to suspend him. Intent or not... they need to make a statement.

This has no sound, but the slow-mo is also from a different angle at one point...he leaves his feet to use his shoulder...not exactly attempting to get out of the way is he??

I believe I said that because he knocked down the USC QB therefore helping LSU. I have no "axe to grind".azfinfanmang likes this. -

ESPN just covered the story, he is a former Kentucky LB/FB....hahahahaha
They mentioned an "official" with the league or of refs in general, stated "he was in the proper position, and simply defended himself once the ball carrier switched direction and caused him to enter the refs space!BuckeyeKing likes this. -
Oh, I would seeing both angles he is ABSOLUTELY tracking the player and going in for the kill. Maybe as he was kindve sandwiched he felt a HIT or be HIT mantallity come on.

edit: No they did get the TD... Play by Play Right before half...PMZQ likes this. -

No. I'm sure it's like this in every conference, but the SEC prohibits alumni from officiating the alum's games.
I'm personal friends with Wally Hough, an X Gator lineman and business man here in Palatka, who also is an SEC Ref.
The SEC will not let him anywhere near a Gator game as a Ref. -
Correct, this ref is an alum of Kentucky. He was a former LB/FB for them. -

I think the ref experienced a brain fart and the old linebacker emerged. Do you think if for some reason he would have had his back to the play, experiencing the same brain fart, the old fullback would have emerged and he could have sprung Garcia by laying down a bone crushing block? I would much rather have seen that scenario.:lol:BigDogsHunt likes this.
