Exactly my point. What about Hurts? Smith and Brown along with the best OL in the league.

Let me repeat. Tua should not have seen the field in his rookie season. Flores is a scum bag who actively undermined his QB.

And Tua's second season was better than Mac Jones' second season. Want to make a bet on whether Mac Jones' passer rating will be higher than Tua's passer rating last season?

Mac Jones does absolutely nothing playing QB as well as Tua does. He will be out of a starting job in a year or two.

“There is nothing delusional about someone disagreeing that Tua has demonstrated that he is capable of:

    1. Playing at that level, or close to it, for a majority of a season”

    Wth

He most certainly proved he could

Top rated Qb in football over the majority of the season

    Fact..

Stick with your argument that you only worry about his health, talk about mixed signals res.

Unfortunately for us they are very similar. One is just propped up by elite weapons and good offensive scheme. One also stays on the field, doesn't have multiple career ending injuries on his frame, and is likely to have a longer career because of it.

Not sure how anyone can watch a QB lead the league in nearly every important statistic while playing in 13 of 17 games and still come to the conclusion that he hasn't demonstrated the ability to play at an elite level for the majority of a season.

It is only two concepts and he cannot keep them straight.

    1. Leading the league in passer rating - elite level
    2. 13 games is the majority of the games in a 17 game season.

Now this guy is going to come back with the passer ratings of each individual game and count the number of individual games that were at that level. He will add up the games missed, the poor games, and the partial games to get to his ridiculous conclusion. Even with this nonsensical approach, he is STILL wrong.

Tua's best 9 (because that is the minimum number to be the majority) games by passer rating:

Bridgewater never started and completed ONE game last year. If you are trying to make any conclusions on performance, get a grip.

Flores did not want to play Tua his rookie year, neither did Gailey since Tua didn't learn the playbook and wasnt ready. It was Grier who forced them into playing him.

It changes pretty much all of what you wrote. Completely meaningless to compare Bridgewater's last season to anyone.

Bridgewater was a scam of a player whos heart was not in it, this was noticed and commented by me after his first south florida interview happened.

what happened thereafter was exactly as I projected, they guy sucked on the field..

anyone defending that guy obviously has an agenda, which we are already aware of from the chris simms groupies.

    You know whats really pathetic

This teams roster is very respected around the league

We have what looks to be a great young smart coach who truly connects and cares with his players.

The guy is at every heat and panther game rooting for south Florida teams creating some sort of synergy

The team is young, filled with great players in their prime, young and upcoming players

The team plays freakin hard and doesn’t have douchebags on the team

The best defensive coordinator in the game chose us… yup.

The talent he has to work with is prime talent

We’re finally after years and years ready to compete

And we have trolls defending chris Simms, and others defending those trolls position.

Trolls defending bridgewaters year last year to denegrate Tua again

The witch hunt is ****ing pathetic.

I hope you have no one to celebrate with if we do well this year, I hope you have someone to hate with as the journey unfolds.

There is so much good positive direction going on with this team

It’s completely indicting of the human to focus on what they are in this thread with all the good that’s going on

Once the season starts I will put them on ignore so I don’t have to deal with them and, they won’t get to see the threads I start in camp.

Like I said they hope they have another place to go if we do well this year..

Tua represents the franchise so well, he works hard, but they just freakin hate to the point of supporting douchebags opinions

Every off season it's been the same script for 20+ years. The team is hyped up and all the homers take out the pom poms and engage in a circle jerk talking about us being real contenders now, only to see us get our reality checked during the season.

I've been in show me mode for several years now, specially with Grier at the helm wasting draft capital. They have to actually prove they are real contenders before I believe it.

Something is different the last 3 years though. From 2004-2019 we had 3 winning seasons, 11 losing seasons and 2 seasons 8-8, with no 2 consecutive winning seasons. Last 3 years (since drafting Tua btw) we've had 3 consecutive winning seasons, even if barely.

That's tangible evidence something is different. We're not SB contenders yet, but even Vegas thinks we'll make the playoffs. They have us 5th in the AFC. All we need is for Tua to stay healthy and Fangio to build us a decent defense and you have an outsider contender. This isn't like most of the last 20 years where there was really no realistic shot.

Oh, and if we do keep doing well you're going to have to eat a bigger piece of crow than with Tua because Grier would have to acknowledged as a good GM — and you've arguably been more anti-Grier than anti-Tua. Grier has often made bad drafting decisions, yes, but he's pretty good at FA, and bringing in McDaniel and Fangio with Tua potentially being our first true franchise QB since Marino puts him one lucky shot away from being a very good GM whether you like it or not.

Even if Grier gets it right, it does not mean he's a good GM, or that anyone should eat crow for being critical of his job performance. Grier has been terrible. And even if Tua turns out to be great, that still isn't special for Grier because almost every pundit was saying to draft Tua.

You judge everyone by performance. No matter how many mistakes Grier has made, if we end up being a serious SB contender he will be a very good GM. Same goes for Ross too. And it doesn't matter how many pundits said something. The draft is mostly a crapshoot for QBs, even in the first round, so getting Tua right (if that happens) would be a major feather in Grier's cap.

If Tua doesn't complete a healthy and very productive season. Grier shouldn't have a job by the end of it. Because holy shi* that 2020 draft was bad. Can't miss on 3 1st rounders and keep your job.

Again, stop attacking posters. I'm not a Simms groupie, I don't even watch or read any of the stuff you guys do.

    Grier was a bad GM.

Even if he turns into a good GM, it doesn't change the fact he has been bad.

Doesn't matter. Future success would change how good/bad the GM is overall. If Grier builds a consistent playoff team it doesn't matter that he started out bad. This view of yours that even if he gets it right later on he's a bad GM is akin to saying that if a QB (Tua?) starts off bad it doesn't matter how good he is later on, he's still a mediocre QB. It's a ludicrous position. Yes, if Grier builds a winner he's a very good GM.
