If the Jags arent on, then its because CBS is only playing a late game, and its not Miami
If that doesn't work, then they'll show Tampa Bay against a AFC opponent.
How is it possible that the Dolphins take the back seat to an NFC team on CBS?
And how is it possible to take a back seat to the Jags, when they have blown total monkey balls all season long?

I called the station and complained. The lady on the phone explained to me that the CBS station GM has been pleading with the NFL to get the Dolphins game, but the NFL refuses to release the rights. She gave me the number to the NFL league office. In 2 minutes they open, and I'm gonna be registering complaints all week long.

If you're disgruntled about anything in the NFL, call 212-450-2000 and let them hear about it.

Ok, I called. Talked to an operator, and then I got transfered to the PR representative. How convenient that call went to voicemail. I left a message for JoAnn Hunter, a PR rep for the NFL. It was a nice message, but expressed the problem and requested a solution. I encourage everyone to help out my cause by calling and leaving her a message. If she gets enough of these messages, the NFL may consider making a change.

And if I was going to the U, I'd have season tickets to the Dolphins. Wait a second, why didnt i just go to the U? Thats it, Im transfering after this spring. I'll do my last semester in Miami and go to Dolphin games instead of studying. Woot!!!

As for the Jags, Maldonado will not say they are guilty of any wrong by protecting their Orlando interest. But he did note that "if the Jags had waived the rule, they would be heroes in this town."

Look like we are gonna get screwed here in SC again too. I hate CBS with a passion. Looks like I am gonna be kickin it with Med again this Sunday.

 

Perhaps next year we should start a list of members willing to let other members come over to enjoy the game that have Direct Tv. We could put the members name and and city and state as well. They could work it out with the member with Direct Tv what they could bring with them to watch the game. This also would be a great way for members that are visiting family or traveling to meet other family members rather then sitting at a sports bar by themselves.

Why did the NFL flex the Jags-Ravens game anyway? Because 5-10 Jax getting fed to the lions on the road is a game everybody needs to see. ****, it's not like Orlando wouldn't have gotten that game at 1 PM anyway.

I'll do my part and call this afternoon. I'm also writing the almighty PFT, hoping they'll give some attention to it.

 

Here in the Tampa Bay viewing area, we get the Dolphins/Jets game.

 

Because if they didnt and both Baltimore and NE win (at 1pm) then the Jets (at 4pm) would have nothing to play for.

 

so if Baltimore is winning by 40 points at halftime, should they postpone that game until the Jets have finished? We wouldn't want the Jets to think their chances are over. Boohoo, the NFL needs to get off Brett Favre's nuts.

 

yeah, and here in Orlando, we get to watch the Bucs at 1, and the Jags at 4. BOTH ON CBS. Give me a break!!! Tampa has been on CBS 2 weeks in a row.

 

Well yeah but I guess it's like the lesser of two evils type of thing. I do get their reasoning and I get what you're saying as well but the way they did it is more pandering to New England than the Jets (Favre) because there is some notion that if the Jets have no shot of getting in then the Jets would rather see Miami in the playoffs over New England. The only way NE gets in is if either Miami or Baltimore loses.

 

im sure the nfl flexed it to help the pats. the ravens playing at 4 helps the jets
